Chapter Four
"Your Highness, is this the Prince An's residence? Is the master of the residence here?" Li Zhiwei had too many questions she wanted to ask someone.
"If you have something to say, just tell me. What in this manor is not up to me?" Xu Qingshi felt that Li Zhiwei looked down on him, and he was displeased.
"Can you make that decision?" Li Zhiwei thought to herself, she couldn't very well ask a child how she ended up at the Prince An's mansion, could she?
“Of course I can make the decision,” Xu Qingshi said with a smug look on his face.
"Your Highness, why am I here?" Li Zhiwei sighed. The most urgent thing was to figure out how he ended up here.
Is this the Prince An's residence, or somewhere else?
"Of course I brought it back," Xu Qingshi said without hesitation.
“Uh…” Even Li Zhiwei, who had thought about many things, had never considered this possibility.
"You don't believe me?" Seeing Li Zhiwei's expression, Xu Qingshi felt that he was being looked down upon and was very unhappy.
"This humble woman dares not," Li Zhiwei said, but her words and actions greatly angered Xu Qingshi, clearly indicating that she did not believe him.
"Young Master, there's no room outside. Where should we put the things?" At this moment, a servant rushed in and asked anxiously.
"What can't you put in?" Xu Qingshi asked, puzzled.
"Well, this is the young lady's dowry. It's just too much; the Prince's mansion can't hold it all." The servant scratched his head, wondering why his young master had brought her back.
It couldn't possibly be that the prince himself wanted to marry this girl, could it? This girl looks much older than the prince.
"What is a dowry?" Xu Qingshi was still a child, and she didn't understand why there had to be a dowry.
Li Zhiwei stood to the side, feeling both annoyed and amused.
The little boy snatched her away without even knowing there was a dowry. What she didn't expect was that her own family members who had accompanied her to the wedding also brought the dowry.
I've heard that Prince An never married. If I could stay in Prince An's mansion, it wouldn't be a bad place. At least, I probably wouldn't cause my parents to die tragically, right?
Even if she doesn't leave, at least she can use her vast dowry to secure a future for her parents, right?
Having thought all this through, Li Zhiwei made a bold decision.
After all, money is just an external thing.
“Young Master, when a woman gets married, she always has a dowry. Miss Li’s dowry is quite large,” Xie Yanzhi tugged at Xu Qingshi’s sleeve and whispered.
"How many could there be? They can't even accommodate my Prince An's mansion?" Xu Qingshi said dismissively.
"Your Highness, please go and take a look. The front yard is already full, but this is only part of it," the servant said with some difficulty.
After all, as a servant, he had no right to decide whether to put these things in his master's courtyard.
This person was brought back by the prince, so the servant thought he had no choice but to consult the prince first.
The old princess was also shocked when she saw the red silk covering the courtyard.
