Chapter 123 Blessed (1/2)

Chapter 123

"Didn't we go to find a doctor? Has the doctor arrived?" the second guard asked, frowning.

"Why don't we go and inform the Prince?" The guard's eyes fell on the wine pot on the table, which seemed to be the one the Prince had given him earlier that day.

If there really is something wrong with the wine, Your Highness might...

The guard said he dared not even think about it.

"Then go and inform the Prince, and also ask him to invite Doctor Hu to come and examine Lord Li, just in case something really happens," the second guard urged.

As soon as the first guard left, the second guard saw that Li Tianyou's face began to turn black and he started spitting bubbles.

"Oh no!" The second guard was terrified when he saw this and quickly stuffed the poison pills that Doctor Hu had prepared for them into Li Tianyou's mouth.

I thought to myself, "That wine absolutely must not cause any problems."

Otherwise, wouldn't the prince have a hard time explaining this to the princess?

The prince cannot bear the charge of poisoning his future father-in-law.

Thinking of this, the second guard coolly stuffed another Jade Purification Pill into Li Tianyou's mouth.

Fortunately, Li Tianyou's originally dark face gradually regained some color.

"Water...water..."

Li Tianyou felt extremely thirsty.

The second bodyguard quickly poured Li Tianyou a glass of water, helped him sit up, and fed him.

A servant boy led a doctor over in a hurry.

"Doctor, please take a look at my master! What's wrong with him?" the servant said anxiously.

"Isn't the master asleep?" the old doctor asked, somewhat puzzled, looking at Li Tianyou's rosy complexion.

"Oh dear, you'd better take a look. There's another one next door," the servant said anxiously.

The old doctor had no choice but to quickly step forward and take Li Tianyou's pulse.

The old doctor is quite skilled.

"The antidote was administered in time, sir. He's fine now; he just needs to rest and recover." The old doctor said, then stood up.

"Are you...really alright?" the servant asked uncertainly.

"If you don't believe me, you can ask someone else to come!" The old doctor hated it most when people questioned his medical skills.

“I don’t disbelieve you, but would you please go and check on the person next door?” the servant quickly said.

Meanwhile, Zhou Tong next door was still shouting and yelling.

The old doctor, his face dark, followed the servant into Zhou Tong's room.

The old doctor frowned as he looked at Zhou Tong, who was screaming pitifully.

"What's wrong with him?" the old doctor asked impatiently.

"He was drinking with my master when he suddenly collapsed and cried out in pain." The servant had been watching Zhou Tong and Li Tianyou drinking from a short distance away and, worried that they might give him some orders, didn't dare to go far.

"Drinking? Was he not allowed to drink before?" the old doctor asked, frowning.

However, he still sat down to take Zhou Tong's pulse.

"He's been poisoned," the old doctor said decisively.

"Poisoning?" Now it was the servant's turn to be incredulous. Just now, the doctor had said that the master was fine.

"Yes, he's been poisoned. I'll prescribe a medicine for him in a bit and give it to him. Whether he can be cured depends on his fate." After saying that, the old doctor waited to the side.

"Is my master alright?" the servant asked, puzzled.

"Your husband showed signs of poisoning, but he must have taken some antidote and is currently fine," the old doctor said with certainty.

Xu Heming, who had just arrived, felt a pang of anxiety upon hearing this.

At this point, if he hadn't realized that Huo Yunxuan was probably trying to trick him.

"Go and take a look," Xu Heming quickly gestured to Doctor Hu beside him.
