Chapter 217 Seasickness (2/2)

Upon hearing the noise, Li Zhiwei quickly came over to check the situation.

Seeing that Xu Qingshi had also started vomiting, I thought to myself, they really are father and son.

Are you alright?

Li Zhiwei still spoke up and asked.

I was still a little worried about Xu Qingshi's condition.

"You woman, did you poison me and my father?" Xu Qingshi looked at Xu Heming, who had a bad complexion, not far away, and asked Li Zhiwei with dissatisfaction.

Li Zhiwei was completely bewildered. She didn't understand what she had done to cause such a misunderstanding that she had poisoned the father and son.

“In the Qing Dynasty, one cannot speak carelessly.” Li Zhiwei sighed again, not understanding where he got the conclusion that she would poison the father and son.

"If you didn't poison us, why did my father and I both vomit?" Xu Qingshi said, then turned to the side and vomited again.

Li Zhiwei fell into deep thought after hearing this.

How is she supposed to tell Xu Qingshi that what you two are experiencing is seasickness?

"Young master, you and the master are probably seasick," Mo Yu suddenly thought of this and quickly said.

"Impossible! Why are you all seasick, but my dad and I are? You must have poisoned my dad and me, you wicked woman!" Xu Qingshi said, pointing at Li Zhiwei with dissatisfaction.

Li Zhiwei found it both funny and infuriating.

Why blame her for poisoning your own food?

If anyone's to blame, it's Xu Heming's bad genes, right?

Otherwise, why would it be just the father and son who vomited?

Thinking of this, Li Zhiwei still went into the cabin to prepare seasickness medicine for the two of them.

"What's wrong?" Yao asked, puzzled, when she saw her daughter come in and still fiddling with the medicine she had brought back.

"Mother, are you alright?" Li Zhiwei looked at Yao Shi with concern, as Yao Shi was the one she was most worried about.

As it turned out, Yao was fine, but Xu Heming and his son Xu Qingshi were vomiting, one at the bow and the other at the stern. They were truly father and son.

We truly understand each other's plight.

"I'm fine, you don't need to worry about me. I just heard Qingshi crying, what happened to him?" Yao had actually heard Xu Qingshi's accusations against Li Zhiwei.

Xu Qingshi had been very well-behaved during her time in Li'an County. She thought that the child had genuinely accepted her daughter and was secretly relieved.

However, ever since Xu Heming arrived, Xu Qingshi has occasionally started to throw tantrums at Li Zhiwei.

This made Yao feel very uncomfortable.

As a scion of a prominent family, he might look down on a daughter from a merchant family deep down.

This left Madam Yao feeling somewhat uneasy, and she was determined to have a serious talk with her husband about it later.

"Mother, this is the child's first time getting seasick. He thought I poisoned him," Li Zhiwei said with a smile as she took out the seasickness medicine.

"He Ming is seasick too?" Madam Yao thought of Xu Qing's voice calling out to him and his father, which meant that Prince An was also seasick.

Has even a prince never been on a boat?

"That's right, father and son, one vomiting there, the other vomiting there." Li Zhiwei pointed to the bow of the boat, then to the stern.

There was a hint of amusement in his tone.

"What a coincidence!" Yao was stunned. She hadn't expected that both father and son would get seasick. But then she thought that if they got seasick, her daughter might have a hard time, and she felt a little uneasy.

"Mother, it's alright. Your daughter was prepared. I've already brewed this medicine for them, and they'll feel better after drinking it," Li Zhiwei said as she started brewing the seasickness medicine on the stove.

"Wei'er, you've had a hard time." Madam Yao sighed and said nothing more.

"Mother, I'm not tired. There are so many people, and I don't need to do anything." Li Zhiwei didn't feel tired at all, since it wasn't her who was vomiting.

Compared to her, the two who were vomiting were probably having a much harder time.

Madam Yao looked at her daughter without saying much; after all, only she knew the true nature of her situation.
