"I don't know her." Li Tianyou shook his head without thinking. He was a grown man, and he wouldn't bother to pay attention to someone's wife and daughter unless something was wrong.
That would be too presumptuous.
“Dad, I have a feeling that person came specifically for you.” Li Zhiwei said to Li Tianyou with a serious expression.
"How could this be?" Li Tianyou's first reaction was that this was impossible. What could he possibly have to scheme against?
"Among the people you've been in contact with recently, is there anyone with the surname Xu?" Li Zhiwei thought of that Niu woman; when she introduced herself, didn't she say that her surname was Xu?
"Someone surnamed Xu?" Li Tianyou quickly thought of Xu Xiangren.
But he only stopped me a few times. I shouldn't have offended him. Surely he wouldn't make things difficult for me?
"Father, you've figured it out?" Li Zhiwei guessed from Li Tianyou's expression that Li Tianyou had probably met someone surnamed Xu.
"What, can't you say? Or can't I listen?" Seeing Li Tianyou's hesitation, Yao asked with displeasure.

"Father, when was the last time you saw him?"
After hearing Li Zhiwei's words, Li Tianyou frowned even more, thinking, "It's impossible that he has a problem just because I've met Xu Xiangren, right?"
He thought that Xu Xiangren was looking for him because of their original relationship, one of them being in Li'an County and the other in Xin'an County.
"A couple of days ago, he asked me out for drinks, but I declined, and that was the end of it." Li Tianyou thought to himself, "Their parting wasn't pleasant. Could that be why Xu Xiangren is trying to frame me?"
What is he after?
"Dad, have you ever thought that the reason they came to you was to get on your good side?" Seeing her father's expression, Li Tianyou knew that he had no doubt that Xu Xiangren would have his daughter frame him.
"Hmph, he clearly wants to marry his daughter to you so that you can help him out. It's so obvious, yet you can't see it." Madam Yao had nothing she didn't understand. She felt that Li Tianyou wasn't oblivious; he was probably just pretending not to.
"No way." Li Tianyou looked at Li Zhiwei and Yao Shi in disbelief. His heart sank. Was Xu Xiangren trying to scheme against him?
"If you and Xu Xiangren's daughter were in the mansion today, what do you think would have happened if his wife had brought so many people in?" Li Zhiwei sighed, looked at her father, and asked.
In her past life, she had experienced too much unfair treatment, so now she carefully considers every single thing they do to her.
“How could it be just the two of us? There are so many servants in the manor,” Li Tianyou retorted without hesitation.
"Do you think that girl won't throw herself at you?" Li Zhiwei rolled her eyes, thinking that her father was being too naive.
"What will happen?" Li Tianyou was already feeling a bit scared, but he still felt that they probably couldn't do much to him.
“They’ll accuse you of bullying someone’s daughter, and then you might have to marry her to protect your reputation,” Li Zhiwei said helplessly.
"Why are you telling him all this? Maybe he just wants to marry that young girl." Yao was both angry and annoyed.
She felt that Li Tianyou was really getting more and more like a senile person.
She couldn't believe he hadn't noticed something so obvious.
Li Tianyou broke out in a cold sweat after hearing his daughter's words. If that were true, what would he do?
