Chapter 50 Confession (2/2)

"Brother-in-law, please calm down!" Zhou Yuying's legs went weak from the weight of his words, and she almost knelt down. Her eyes instantly reddened as she tried to look pitiful and wronged. "Yuying just... just acted impulsively, for your own good..."

"For my own good?" Xu Heming interrupted her, his tone sarcastic. "Stop with your nonsense. I've been tolerant of your Zhou family in the past because of your sister, but that's no excuse for you to push your luck. If I hear another word that slanders the future Princess An, don't blame me for not showing any mercy! Also, from now on, please address me as Your Highness!"

Xu Heming was getting impatient with Zhou Yuying calling him "brother-in-law" all the time.

He had actually wanted to say it for a long time, but he was aloof and rarely saw Zhou Yuying, so he didn't pay attention. But now that he was getting married, he had to make sure to keep a clear distance from other women.

Zhou Yuying was so shocked by his words that she swayed and her face turned pale.

The biggest excuse she could frequently visit Princess An was her deceased sister's identity. Now that Xu Heming has made it clear, her excuse seems to be crumbling.

"Sister... Your Highness." Zhou Yuying's eyes were red and full of grievance.

He regretted coming to Prince An's residence today.

"Go back to your Zhou family. The Prince An's Mansion does not welcome you." Xu Heming issued his final ultimatum, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Although Zhou Yuying was unwilling, she couldn't gain any advantage with Prince An present.

There is ample time.

There will always be a chance.

"Your Highness, this marriage is not a good match between our social classes. Would you like to reconsider?" After saying this, Li Zhiwei ignored Xu Heming and left quickly.

"Oh dear, Old Xu, your wife is angry." After Li Zhiwei left, Xu Qingshi, who had been hiding behind the door, ran out and said, mimicking the adults.

"You brat, what nonsense are you spouting?" Xu Heming glared at his troublesome son.

"Hey Lao Xu, you can't do this. You need to learn how to coax your wife. Otherwise, why don't you just give your wife to me?" After saying that, Xu Qingshi put his hands behind his back and went back like a little adult.

Xu Heming was speechless. Did he really need this brat who hadn't even grown his hair yet to teach him anything?

Wei Jia

Wei Jing'an's face was dark, and Wei Herui was kneeling below him.

Wei Jing'an had never been so embarrassed. Every time he met someone, they would ask him with a smile, "When will you go streaking again?"

Did they all go to cheer him on?

"Husband, don't get so angry that you'll ruin your health," Lin Ziyi said softly, trying to comfort the furious Wei Jing'an.

“Father, I didn’t mean it. It’s all Xu Qingshi’s fault. If he hadn’t said that his father could run around the capital shirtless, I definitely wouldn’t have said that,” Wei Herui said resentfully.

"What else did you say?" Wei Jing'an rubbed his forehead, feeling his heart, which had just been at ease, rise again.

"Master, someone from the palace has arrived," the servant rushed over and said.

Wei Jing'an was taken aback. Shouldn't someone from the palace be looking for his father? Why is he looking for him?
