Chapter 384 A Family Outing

Two days later, Fei Yanggu brought Jue Luoshi to Yin's courtyard. After lunch, the father-in-law and son-in-law went into the study and did not come out until evening.

The twins and Hafeng were all in the flower hall. The two adults and two children were all circling around Hafeng, and all four of them were focused on the chubby, stinky boy.

"Little darling, we're going to the night market. Yiken'e, you take your sister to change her clothes," Yin said, glancing at Yiken'e.

Yay!

The twins cheered. Since arriving in Jiangnan, they had been confined to the imperial palace and villa. Apart from taking Yin out twice, they had been kept under Kangxi's watchful eye the rest of the time.

"Father, can we really go out? Did you ask the Emperor for leave?" Yiken pouted. "The Emperor said before that we must report to him if we go out."

Yin smiled, realizing that Yiken'e had learned the rules. Kangxi wanted to restrain Yiken'e's actions, fearing that someone in Jiangnan might deliberately cause trouble for him.

Yiken'e was the only pair of twin princes in the royal family, and some people in the south had their eyes on Yin's villa.

“Mafa has sent people over. In a moment, you must stay within Tulichen’s sight, understand?” Yin instructed.

Yiken tilted her little head and stared at Yin: "Okay, I'll stay in Anda's sight. Where's my sister?"

“Everyone has someone to protect them, so Yiken’e, you also need to protect your sister, can you do that? We’re going to take Hafeng’a out, so all of Father’s attention should be focused on Hafeng’a.” Yin squatted down to be at eye level with Yiken’e.

Upon hearing Yin's arrangement, Yiken'e nodded immediately, ready to protect his younger sister under his wing.

Upon hearing Yin's arrangement, Jue Luo was about to say that Yi Ken'e didn't need to take care of her when Fei Yanggu grabbed her and told her not to interfere.

"Fourth Master, it's enough for us adults to protect the children!" Jue Luo Shi said directly.

Yin didn't care at all. Children all have to grow up. If adults keep protecting them, by the time the children grow up, they will have grown old and may not be able to help them anymore.

Half an hour later, two carriages left Yin's villa one after the other. On the way, Qingyan leaned against Yin and watched the twins playing with a jigsaw puzzle on the kang table.

"Father, how long will it take us to reach the commercial street?" Yiken asked, looking up.

"It should be more than half an hour." Yin took a sip of tea and answered Yiken'e's question directly.

"Mother, we're going to stay here for so long!" Hutulifengshengzhalafen complained.

“There are lots of little trinkets on the shopping street that you like best. Shall we wait a bit while we go over there so you can choose whatever you like?” Qingyan reassured her daughter.

After listening to the conversation between the mother and daughter, Yin became somewhat anxious. Neither of them had ever been to the night market in Jiangnan. In the past, when they came, the government officials were worried about the safety of Kangxi and the princes, so they directly blocked the night market.

Upon arriving at the commercial street, the twins disembarked first, looking at the bustling crowds on the street with great curiosity.

Inside the night market, candlelight blazed brightly, as if it were deliberately arranged.

"Little darling, did you see that?" Yin asked, glancing at Qingyan.

At the intersection of the commercial street, Yuelai Inn and Linglong Pavilion stand tall.

The twins stretched out their little hands and pointed in a certain direction, which made Yin laugh.

The signboard of Linglong Pavilion was actually written by Cao Yin, which is obviously a living signboard in Jiangnan.

"Huh?!" Qingyan was stunned. She had no idea what Yin wanted her to see.

"Which plaque is it? It was written by Cao Yin himself. You can imagine that someone on your side went to ask for the calligraphy." Yin nudged Qingyan and said.

Qingyan was stunned. It turned out that the character was written by Cao Yin. She even said that the character was really not good-looking.

"Mother, let's drive over there." Hutuli Fengsheng Zhalafen had been thinking about the toys. When she realized she was in the shopping street, she bought as many toys as possible and then went back.

She dislikes crowded places, which is very similar to Yin. Yiken'e and Qingyan have similar temperaments and like to go to lively places.

"Father, let's hurry up, my little sister is making a fuss!" Yiken said quickly, acting like a little adult.

Yin took Yiken'e's little hand and followed Fei Yanggu and his wife toward Yuelai Inn.

Today, before leaving home, Yin specifically informed Kangxi that the family would be staying overnight at the Yuelai Inn. Therefore, Kangxi specially closed off the night market area.

"Are we going to stay here all night?" Jue Luo was stunned. Yin and Qingyan had someone prepare casual clothes for them, planning to rest for a while before going shopping.

"Fourth Prince, the rooms have all been prepared. Father Emperor won't be coming out too, will he?" Qingyan asked in a low voice.

Ugh!

Yin couldn't guarantee that if Fei Yanggu had too much fun and attracted his mother's attention, his father would definitely come over as well.

"Fine, I understand!" Qingyan glanced at Yin's face and sighed in frustration. "I'll reserve a top-tier room for Father and Mother as well!"

Pfft!

Yin and Fei Yanggu both laughed. The Emperor should have already made arrangements. If he came directly, Qingyan would probably refuse. The Emperor's arrival would greatly increase the pressure on the Emperor's court.

"Next time, if Father Emperor launches another surprise attack like this, don't blame me!" Qingyan was extremely annoyed, believing that Kangxi was clearly making things difficult for him.

"Little darling, you have to understand that this is all the fun your father has. If you take away even this little bit of fun, your father will get bored!" Yin quickly reassured Qingyan.

When he was away from home, Emperor Kangxi rarely cooked outside. He usually stayed at the Yuelai Inn. When the innkeepers received the news, they were extra careful, for fear that they might make Emperor Kangxi uncomfortable.

"Hmph!" Qingyan expressed her dissatisfaction. If something really happened to her father, she would also be implicated.

"Little darling, don't say any more, let's go to the room first." Fei Yanggu noticed that some people around them were paying attention to their actions, and those people's eyes were somewhat subtle.

"Yes!" Qingyan quickly replied.

After the group entered the room, everyone took their seats, and Hafeng was placed in the stroller.

"Father, is something wrong outside?!" Qingyan noticed Fei Yanggu standing at the window staring down below and asked curiously.

At the entrance of Yuelai Inn, the innkeeper did not bow as respectfully as before. Instead, he simply stepped aside to let Yin and Qingyan in, as if he were treating them as ordinary guests.

Yin's face showed a solemn expression. If even the shopkeeper had been transferred, it was obvious that something was amiss.
