Chapter 401 Sudden Tsunami

At midnight, the masters in the "dawn" camp were all asleep, but the waves of the sea began to churn, one high wave after another crashing against the rocks. Yin was awakened from his sleep and listened to the sound of the waves, feeling rather strange.

Autumn has arrived, so the waves shouldn't be unusual anymore. The fishermen have already set out on their boats, but they haven't returned to port yet.

"Little darling, wake up!" Yin shook Qingyan.

"Hmm," Qingyan opened her eyes groggily, looking at Yin's anxious expression, and felt a little strange.

"Fourth Prince, what's wrong with you?" Qingyan rubbed her eyes, looked up and stared at Yin as she asked.

"Little darling, there might be a tsunami, the waves are quite loud!" Yin whispered in her ear. "Let's go to the flower hall right now, and my elder brother and the others will probably be there soon."

As soon as he finished speaking, Su Peisheng stood outside and informed Yinhe and Qingyan that Fei Yanggu and several princes had all stood up, asking the two masters to go to the flower hall for a meeting.

Qingyan changed into a sky-blue palace dress, styled her hair in a swallowtail updo, and adorned it with two five-treasure gold hairpins before following Yin toward the flower hall.

The two entered the flower hall, where Fei Yanggu and his two sons were already seated. She noticed that her father and sons were in a bad mood. There was also an old man in plain clothes standing in the hall. She was curious about who this person was.

“Little darling, this is the former naval commander of the Zheng family. Later, he retired and lived by the sea.” Fei Yanggu pointed to the old man in front of him and said, “This time, it really is thanks to you that the Yuelai Inn has brought income to the local people. This man is very happy and hopes that the Yuelai Inn can continue to exist.”

"What's going on?" Qingyan asked curiously.

"Fourth Princess Consort, the wind and waves outside are too strong. The fishermen feel like they're experiencing an earthquake, so they're all coming to port. The old fishermen say that this kind of weather could easily trigger a tsunami," the old man said.

Qingyan was stunned; a tsunami.

"We need to take precautions in advance, and the delivery must be fast!" the old man continued.

"You've said so much, yet I still don't know your name?" Qingyan quickly asked, regaining her composure.

"I am nearsighted and a commoner; my name is not worth mentioning," the old man politely declined.

“Father said that you are very knowledgeable and talented. If you can help Yier, Yuelai Inn will not suffer losses. At that time, it will be able to create a better life for more people,” Qingyan said directly.

"Zhuang Yan!" The old man felt a little more at ease after hearing Qing Yan's words and said directly.

"Elder Zhuang, when do you think the tsunami might break out? Should we send out warships to meet the fishing boats that haven't returned?" Yin asked respectfully.

"Fourth Master, it's not necessary for now. The fishermen who go out to sea are all seasoned veterans, while the navy has never encountered such waves before. It could lead to the annihilation of the entire army, so we should try not to go out to sea."

Yin's expression changed for a moment; this clearly meant they were useless.

Yin felt utterly humiliated; how ironic that the navy couldn't protect the people's safety.

His expression changed slightly, and he felt a sense of unease.

"Fourth brother, what Elder Zhuang said is absolutely right. If we can take this opportunity to let the navy train, that would be excellent." Yin walked directly in from the tent entrance.

"You're that young master!" Zhuang Yan looked at Yin and realized that he was the young master he had traded with before.

"I am Prince Yin of Zhijun. Last time, my daughter liked that little conch shell, which is why she offended me!" Yin apologized first.

"Your Highness is too polite. If the young princess likes it, I have a conch shell at home that would be a perfect match!" Zhuang Yan really liked Songkelierha; she had a wonderful temperament.

"Thank you very much, Elder Zhuang," Yin accepted with a smile. "Your visit this time is..."

Zhuang Yan explained the situation, and Yin Wei frowned, feeling that Zhuang Yan's arrival was very timely; this tsunami was an opportunity.

“Prince Zhi, Fourth Prince, forgive my bluntness, but using this tsunami for training could be very dangerous.” Zhuang Yan came over because he discovered that Fei Yanggu was personally overseeing the navy.

Fei Yanggu had fought him many times before, and they were old friends who had known each other for a long time.

"Elder Zhuang, what if we asked you to board the ship? How confident are you in the outcome?" Yin really didn't want to miss this opportunity; if he could train there, it would be an excellent chance.

When sailing, naval commanders will encounter many situations, including tsunamis. It would be a great thing to be prepared with contingency plans in advance.

"There's only a 70% chance!" Zhuang Yan hadn't been out at sea for training in a long time, so he was a bit rusty.

70%?!

Yin led Yinxiang and Yindu in and happened to hear Zhuang Yan's words. The two of them quickly came over and looked at each other happily.

"Eldest brother, fourth brother, this is a great opportunity. I want to lead the fleet on an expedition!" After understanding the situation, Yin stood up and said, "I, the tenth brother, admire talented people the most. If Elder Zhuang agrees, please give me a hand!"

Zhuang Yan looked at Yin in front of him: "Tenth Prince, I have a bad temper. If you disobey my orders, I may get angry!"

"Elder Zhuang, you jest. Yin admires capable people, so please give your orders. On the sea, you are in charge." Yin made a solemn pledge to his elder brothers.

Qingyan smiled, knowing that while Yin was stubborn, he was also clear-headed and understood who was the best person to listen to.

"Big brother, I'll go to sea with Yin, and Xiao Guai will come with us. That way, we can find out what to prepare if we encounter storms!" Yin and Qingyan exchanged a glance and volunteered to go as well.

"No way!" Yin refused outright. "I'll go. Fourth Brother is in charge of the entire naval port, while Yin and I are in charge of training. We're the most suitable to board the ship!"

"Stop talking, all of you! I'll go alone. If something goes wrong, Father Emperor will lose a prince!" Yin glared at Yin and the others. "Saituo, Eshuo, neither of you are allowed to go. Lord Feiyanggu needs to assist his two elder brothers. I'm the best choice. You two also need to supervise the training!"

Yin made the decision directly. Yin and the others knew his temperament; once he made up his mind, he wouldn't change it. Even if Kangxi himself came to dissuade him, he would ultimately fail.

"Alright, Elder Zhuang, I'll leave my younger brother to you!" Yin and Yin looked at each other for a long time, and seeing that Yin did not back down at all, they could only compromise in the end.

"Alright, if Prince Zhi trusts me, then entrust the Tenth Prince to me. Let's agree on three rules before we go on the expedition. I hope Prince Zhi can send someone to help me suppress the Tenth Prince's temper!" Zhuang Yan was a sensible man; once Yin lost his temper, he was powerless to resist.
