Chapter 456 Qingyan Misleading

After breakfast, Qingyan hosted a dinner for Yingenjueluo and Songkelierha in the courtyard. The mother and daughter were dressed in bright red palace attire, and Qingyan couldn't help but laugh when she saw them.

A couple of days ago, Qingyan mentioned that the mother and daughter would look very beautiful wearing the same palace attire.

Yingenjueluo acted quickly. Qingyan had mentioned it two days ago, and today she wore it out. Songkelierha was young and could only wear her hair in two buns. The hairpins on her buns were quite interesting. Two days ago she wore a "Fu" character, and now she wore two small pomegranate gold hairpins. As Songkelierha moved, the two small red pomegranates swayed back and forth.

"Wok, Wok, are we going out to play?" Songkri Yierha bowed politely and ran directly to Qingyan's side. The little girl smiled.

Qingyan stroked the little guy's head and nodded. They were going out together. The helpless look in Yingenjueluo's eyes made Qingyan laugh.

“Sister-in-law, this morning, when Master told the little maid that we were going out, she hasn’t had a moment’s peace. She keeps saying she wants to find Woke!” Yin Genjue Luo Shi shook her head. Yin was very busy with his duties and had no chance to take her out. Yin Genjue Luo Shi did take her to offer incense.

No other trip outside the palace has lasted as long as this one. It seems that Qiu Mi and the Southern Tour have made Songkelierha's heart a bit wild.

“Sister-in-law, don’t stop her. She’s done very well. Father said that I often came to see him when he left the mansion.” Qingyan explained to Songkelierha that young children are very playful.

Yin Genjueluo shook his head helplessly. Yin felt that raising his daughter like this was good. In the future, she would definitely not be bullied by her husband. How many royal daughters would marry into the grasslands?

In recent years, Emperor Kangxi changed the direction of his bestowed marriages. He no longer sent the imperial princesses to the grasslands. Even if they were kept in the capital, they could not help themselves and would be bullied by their husbands.

"Yes, your elder brother has said it many times. Songkelierha has a good personality and can keep things in check!" Yin and Yingenjueluo only have this one daughter. In many ways, Yingenjueluo hopes that her daughter will not suffer any grievances in the future and can grow up peacefully.

After Su Lan served the tea, she withdrew, leaving only the three masters in the hall. Yingenjueluo Shi couldn't help but admire Xiao Guai's methods of disciplining the servants. The servants around her still showed signs of being dispatched by the Imperial Household Department, but Xiao Guai's servants did not.

The servants of Songkelierha were mostly chosen by Yin, and they were all loyal. The wet nurses were even released in advance. After the royal princess was controlled by the wet nurses, she was even more careful around Songkelierha. If anyone around her dared to have a similar servant, the couple would deal with the unruly servant in advance.

"Sister-in-law, when are we leaving?" Qingyan didn't want to stay at the Cao residence. Li Jia often brought her maids to loiter at the gate, and if the two of them ran into each other, they would definitely start arguing again. So, she decided to avoid seeing each other and not bothering each other.

"I heard from Master that we'll go to Hanshan Temple first thing the day after tomorrow morning?" Madam Yin Genjue Luo wanted to pay her respects. She felt unlucky after leaving the capital, and hoped things would get better afterward.

The women of the two households had finally made their reservations. After Qingyan saw off Madam Yingenjueluo and her daughter, she relaxed. Holding a storybook, she flipped through a few pages of the novel she was reading. Feeling a bit bored, she stared blankly at the scenery outside.

"What exactly does Li Jia want to do?" Qingyan muttered to herself.

At the entrance of the courtyard, Li Jiashi arrived again with her maids. She was dressed in a light lotus-colored palace dress and walked back and forth in four-inch flowerpot shoes. Qingyan was puzzled.

"Your Highness, the palace dress worn by the Crown Prince's concubine is made of Shu brocade, a material only consorts of the rank of Imperial Concubine can possess." Upon hearing this, Su Lan's mouth dropped open.

Isn't Li Jia afraid of getting heatstroke if she uses Shu brocade now?

"Sulan, is that Shu brocade the one I've been keeping hidden away?" Qingyan tilted her head, trying hard to recall what kind of fabric Shu brocade was.

Su Lan nodded quickly. Apart from Qing Yan, all the other wives had made clothes out of Shu brocade. The master had asked, and the master said that the fabric was too expensive and it was better to leave it.

"She's not hot in those clothes, so whatever she likes to wear is none of our business!" Qingyan put down her storybook. "Does that person come often?"

"Yes, it happens two or three times a day!" Su Lan said helplessly.

The servants outside the courtyard were helpless. Consort Li Jia would often come to the door without saying she wanted to see the Fujin (principal wife), and they could not say much. They could only greet her respectfully, often kneeling on the ground multiple times.

Fortunately, most of the servants serving outside the courtyard were from the Cao family, and Li Jiashi was not complaining about the Cao family's servants who were causing trouble.

Qingyan rested his arm on the kang table, wondering what Li Jia was up to.

"Little darling!" Yin returned early, having prepared their luggage for the past two days. "Why is Li Jiashi loitering around our door?"

When Yin came from Kangxi's place, he saw Li Jia wandering around in the distance. When Li Jia saw him, she quickly left.

"Hmph, who knows what's wrong with that woman?" Qingyan frowned. "She comes two or three times a day, she must have a lot of free time!"

Qingyan pouted, looking unhappy. Yin sat down beside her and picked up the storybook he had tossed aside.

Pfft!

Seeing Qingyan's sullen little face, Yin felt an itch to pinch her cheek.

"Fourth! This is a serious problem. I can accept that the servants are here to monitor us, but who is Li Jiashi, insisting on coming to our courtyard!" Qingyan was furious.

Yin's behavior infuriated her, but as the head of the family, he wasn't angry at all; instead, he just watched the spectacle unfold.

"Little darling, Li isn't worth this much trouble. She's not qualified." Yin patted the little girl's back, reassuring her not to worry. "Even if you complain, what will you say?"
