In the evening, Qingyan was led to the mansion by Yin. After washing up, she leaned on Yin's back, her little face somewhat confused. Why would Consort Tong not even care about Madam Tong's dignity?
"Fourth Brother, Mother only woke up close to lunchtime and didn't give the Tong family any special treatment!" Qingyan was confused. Could it be that she didn't even care about her own family anymore?
Yin pondered for a moment. The Tong family had already split up, and Tong Guowei and Tong Guogang were two separate networks. Tong Guogang was more useful than Tong Guowei.
"What about Granny Da Guo Luo Ma's side?" Once Yin had confirmed the location for Xiao Guai, the little girl would know how to handle the relationship.
Tong Guogang's wife?
Qingyan was stunned. Could this be related to Consort Tong's unusual behavior?
"Mother didn't see anyone!" Qingyan tilted her head and asked suspiciously.
Yin pinched her little face. Mother contacted Madam Tong Guogang not to meet in person, but to manipulate the rewards. Madam Tong Guogang would understand.
Later that evening, Su Peisheng came in from outside, placed a memorial on the table, and whispered a few words into Yin's ear.
He frowned and waved for Su Peisheng to leave.
"Little darling, did you see what your mother gave you?" Yin asked.
Qingyan shook her head. The reward was personally delivered by Shu. She and several other wives were in the palace and hadn't paid attention to the matter.
He opened the document, which recorded the rewards that the ladies of the court had brought back. The rewards for the two ladies of the Tong family were marked with a horizontal line in vermilion.
The memorial was secretly delivered by Li Dequan's apprentice through Kangxi's request, clearly intended to inform Yinzhi that certain relationships needed to be changed.
Qingyan brought her face close to his, where the glaring red horizontal line was visible.
“In the past, Mother would subsidize the Tong family. The things Father Emperor personally bestowed were mostly more for Tong Guogang’s family. Mother would only make up for it to save face for the family. Today’s reward is not enough to make up for it!” Yin pointed to the things recorded above.
Tong Guogang, as the eldest son of the direct line, should have inherited most of the power of the Tong family. If it weren't for the favor and privilege of Consort Tong in the harem, Tong Guolai wouldn't have handed over some of the power in the palace to Tong Guowei when he passed away.
After Longkodo was born, Tong Guowei placed more hope on him. Consort Tong had long noticed the change in her family and gradually replaced all the spies in the palace with those who served her.
"Fourth...you mean Mother is going to tear this apart?" Qingyan's mouth dropped open in surprise. Qingyan thought that Madam Tong Guowei and the women in Longkodo's backyard were all troublesome.
Yin nodded and told Xiao Guai not to interfere in the affairs of the Tong family anymore.
The next morning, Qingyan yawned delicately, her little face scrunched up. The bed to her right was already cold. She turned her head to look at the time outside; he had been gone for five or six hours.
"Master, Madam Tong Guogang has sent an invitation, saying she will come to bother you this afternoon." Su Lan came in after hearing a sound from inside the room.
Qingyan nodded, half-asleep, her little brain still in a daze.
etc!
She instantly snapped back to reality. Tong Guogang's wife?!
"Grandma Guo Luoma?!"
"Yes, Madam Tong sent a memorial this morning, saying she wanted to come and bother us," Su Lan replied softly.
Qingyan nodded, recalling what Yin had said. It seemed that Tong Guogang really wanted to get closer to Consort Tong.
"Master said he will come back to have lunch together!" Su Lan reported to Qing Yan after helping her wash up.
In the morning, Qingyan was very inefficient in handling matters at the mansion, as he kept thinking about Madam Tong Guogang's affairs.
At lunchtime, Yin walked in from outside. The table was full of his favorite dishes, many of which were medicinal meals prescribed by the imperial physician.
"Take a quick shower and have your meal," Qingyan said directly to the fourth man, who was dressed in court attire, as he sat on the right.
Qingyan swallowed hard; after leaving the capital, she found herself missing the city's cuisine.
"The taste is very bland!" Yin was a little unaccustomed to it. Xiao Guai hadn't ordered any Sichuan dishes, which was really a bit unusual.
"Hmph, the imperial physician said you should take good care of your stomach," Qingyan muttered under her breath.
After quickly passing through lunch, Yin took Xiao Guai to the study, where the two of them snuggled together and wrote Buddhist scriptures.
"This afternoon, Grand Master Guo Luoma and Grand Mama Guo will come over!" Before leaving the palace, Yin was taken to Chenggan Palace by Kangxi.
Emperor Kangxi and Consort Tong informed Yinzhi to reduce contact with Tong Guowei and to refrain from contacting him beyond necessary formalities.
"Huh?!" Qingyan turned to look at him. "Yes, an invitation to pay homage was sent this morning."
Qingyan felt uneasy. She had never spoken to Madam Tong Guogang before, fearing that she might be looked down upon for coming from a military family, just like Madam Tong Guowei. Every time Madam Tong spoke to her, she used a condescending tone, making Qingyan feel extremely uncomfortable.
“Grandma Guo Luoma is a nice person, you don’t need to be too polite. Besides, Father Emperor’s intention is that from now on, we can just call each other Grandma Guo Luoma and Grandma Guo Luoma!” Yin touched her forehead and told Qingyan directly and clearly.
She puffed out her cheeks and nodded quickly, and the sound of the wind above changed.
After her afternoon nap, Qingyan had just sat down in front of the embroidery frame when Sulan came in to say that Tong Guogang's wife had arrived.
Qingyan straightened her lake-blue palace dress, adjusted the hairpin in her hair, and walked out while holding Sulan's hand.
"This servant greets the Fourth Princess Consort!" Madam Tong Guogang saw Qingyan walk in from the inner chamber and quickly got up to greet her.
"Grandma Guoluoma, please get up quickly!" Qingyan quickly helped her up. She liked this elder very much. Compared with Madam Tong Guowei, this one was more like a kind family member. "In private, you can call me Xiaoguai."
The first time people meet is the most important.
