Chapter 557 Launching an Attack

After hearing what Yinxiang and Yin said, Qingyan stood up and handed the twins to Sulan, telling her to take the children and go back first. She then followed the three brothers to Kangxi's courtyard.

When the four arrived at the courtyard gate, they saw that Ninth Prince Consort was kneeling with Yin inside the courtyard, while the other princes and female relatives had been called into the hall.

Yin Si sat near the door, watching his younger brother suffer, a hint of pity flashing in his eyes.

Yin raised his head and gave him a look, signaling him not to stand up and plead for mercy; it would be fine if only one of them got involved.

"Ninth Prince, what are you buying that thing for?!" Kangxi asked, looking at Yinzhi.

Yin smiled bitterly: "Father, I really couldn't bear it. My third sister-in-law couldn't bear to see my third brother suffer so much, which is why she found my wife."

Fortunately, the Third Princess had approached Yin beforehand, which is why he took action; otherwise, he wouldn't have.

Emperor Kangxi was keeping an eye on this matter, and the women in the family didn't have that much silver in their hands.

"Did you go and beg the Ninth Prince's family?" Consort Tong asked the Third Prince's wife anxiously.

"My dear mother, I really can't bear to see Master suffer so much!" The Third Princess felt a pang of pain in her heart at the thought of Yin Zhi's distress.

Upon hearing this, Kangxi smashed the cup in his hand. The Third Princess Consort's face showed helplessness. If she could, she would not want Yinzhi to touch it either.

"What exactly happened?" Kangxi asked, looking at his third wife.

The Third Prince's wife directly described the pain Yinzhi endured during his drug rehabilitation, and his humble demeanor touched her heart.

Kangxi's eyes welled up with tears. Who wouldn't love their own son? But there was nothing he could do; it was just that Yinzhi had run into this person.

At this moment, Kangxi was ready to vent his anger on Li Xu.

"Fourth Prince, have Li Xu's legal wife and youngest son been found?" Kangxi asked, looking at Yinzhen.

"Tulichen and Erlu are searching. I think Li Xu must have made thorough preparations before sending them away, so the search will definitely take a long time!" Yin said to Kangxi.

Kangxi understood that this was merely a breakthrough point.

"Hmm, you need to hurry. Eighth Prince, was this your idea?" Kangxi asked, looking at Yinsi.

Yinsi glanced back, then knelt down on the ground without saying a word. Yin was getting anxious; why was his eighth brother so stubborn?

"Your subject is at fault." Yin Si said these four words dryly, knowing in his heart that this matter could not be avoided.

Kangxi stood up from the dragon throne and looked at his two sons in front of him. He was really something. He had been worried that his children might be in danger, but who would have thought that they would even try to frame their own brother.

"Fine, fine, fine!" Kangxi was filled with anger and said three "fine"s in a fit of rage. "You've all grown up and dare to talk to me like that, spouting official jargon. What did I tell you before?!"

Qingyan lowered his head, listening to Yinsi's explanation.

"Father, your son... knows he was wrong. Your son saw how much Third Brother begged me..." Yin Si understood that he had to forgive Gui Jiewei for all his sins, otherwise, things would get complicated.

"Father, what are you saying about Eighth Brother? Among all the brothers, Eighth Brother is the most soft-hearted. You even asked Eighth Brother to watch over Third Brother!" Yin felt very uncomfortable seeing Yin Si being made difficult, so he spoke directly.

The other princes sneered inwardly. They thought Yinzhen was really blind. Yinsi was the most cold-hearted of them all. Apart from Consort Liang and himself, he probably didn't care about anyone else.

"Ninth Prince, shut up!" Consort Tong scolded Yin directly. "Eighth Prince, your father trusts you and sent you to keep an eye on the Third Prince. We are preparing to work together to help the Third Prince overcome his difficulties. Aren't you repaying him by doing this?"

At this point, Consort Tong really couldn't understand Yin Si anymore. She said that Yin Si was a nice guy who could get by in the princes' quarters, but that he had no principles and could be used by everyone except Consort Liang.

“Your Majesty, I know I was wrong!” Yin Si understood that Consort Tong was warning him.

Now that he is unable to take care of his mother, he tries his best to push others to the forefront, and has no intention of letting his mother take the blame.

"Madam Li's confession has arrived. Eighth Prince, how much were you involved?" Kangxi looked at the confession, which did not mention any involvement with Prince De. Kangxi slowly investigated and found some clues.

"Your subject did not!" Yin Si raised his head directly, a hint of pain from not being trusted flashing in his eyes.

"After arriving in Jiangnan, you had 30 meetings with Li Xu. How many of those were to discuss this matter?" The Crown Prince was also furious. Yin Si seemed like a good person, yet he dared to extend his claws towards him.

Emperor Kangxi did not stop the Crown Prince. Each prince had his own network of connections, so it would be a loss to discourage the children's enthusiasm.

The Crown Prince's attack prompted Yin Si and Yin Zao to prepare. Upon arriving in Jiangnan, their first priority was to bring the Crown Prince down.

"Your Highness, you've misunderstood. We, as your younger brothers, have always been very respectful to you!" Yin Si took a deep breath and looked at the Crown Prince as he spoke.

The prince did not believe that those subtle details had convinced him that the person in front of him truly harbored quantum ambitions.

"Fourth Prince, if you don't say something, the signs of trouble are coming your way!" The Crown Prince felt he couldn't present all the evidence, so he looked directly at Yin.

"Your Highness, that servant girl just happened to be on a boat trip on the lake when she was about to hang herself, so it was just a coincidence!" Yincai wouldn't listen to the Crown Prince's words.

The Crown Prince glared at Yinzai, who hadn't uttered a single word at this crucial moment. Now was the time to bring down the Eighth Prince.

“Your Highness, if you have no evidence, you are slandering the Eighth Prince here,” Yin Langsheng said.

Yin knew in his heart that even if there were subtle clues, there was no substantial evidence.

"Alright, Yin, do you have any evidence?" Kangxi looked at his brothers' silence and felt a pang of sadness. They had indeed grown up.

"Your subject has not yet." The Crown Prince had no choice but to give up.

Yin looked at Yinsi with complicated eyes. Back then, Yinsi was raised in Consort Hui's palace. Yin felt that it was not bad to have a younger brother, and Yinsi was also very dependent on him.

Since he went to the base, he has had little control over Yinsi, and Consort Hui has directly handed Yinsi over to Consort Liang.

"Eighth Prince, are you really unaware of this?" Yin asked Yinsi one last time.

"Brother, don't you know me? I'm just too embarrassed to admit it. I have no idea what's going on!" Yin Si said helplessly.
