Chapter 578 Gyrfalcon Altai

On the imperial ship, the windows were open, and weeping willows along both sides of the alleyway had sprouted new shoots, their green branches swaying in the wind as seen from the ship.

"Fourth Brother, look how beautiful the scenery outside is!" Qingyan said, pointing outside.

A moment later, a powerful gyrfalcon landed on Qingyan's window frame. As she watched the gyrfalcon approach, she stretched out her right hand. The gyrfalcon nuzzled against her arm; this was the gyrfalcon with the jade beak and claws that she had specially sought out.

"Altai is here!" Yin also saw the gyrfalcon and realized that there must be some news from the Crown Prince.

These gyrfalcons are rarely released; they are usually kept in cages and only released when necessary.

"Altai, you've been so good this time, so I'll give you something delicious!" Qingyan used the backrest as a cover and scooped out some red bean shaved ice from the space into a teacup, placing it in front of Altai.

Altai could understand people's words, and Qingyan always felt that it was related to its fondness for eating things in the space.

Yin walked directly to Altai, which stretched out its right foot, inviting Yin to remove the letter tube from its foot.

He opened the mailbox and looked directly at the records inside. Every word spoken by the Crown Prince and Yin Si was written on the paper.

“Let Altai stay here. When Yiken comes back, he will be very happy to see it!” He Yin still remembered that when Yiken saw his King Kong, its eyes seemed to light up. If Yiken wasn’t so young, he wouldn’t mind handing King Kong over to Yiken.

Qingyan glared at Yin, but ultimately chose to compromise. It wouldn't be good if such a large figure as Altai suddenly disappeared, especially since he had come during the day and was not easy to hide.

"Alright, this won't happen again. Altai won't hurt the children, right?" Yin looked at Altai, but to his surprise, a pleading look appeared in Altai's eyes.

Yin burst into laughter. This gyrfalcon was indeed a spirit; it actually knew the meaning of every word people said.

"Fine, I can't argue with you. There are so many people watching outside. You're just blatantly putting Altai on the ship. Aren't you afraid they'll cause trouble for you? You'd better talk to Father Emperor!" Qingyan directly handed this responsibility over to Yin.

Yin shook his head helplessly: "Come with me to Father Emperor's side. Altai, stand on Qingyan's shoulder and we'll go together. Be gentle with your claws."

Qingyan stood up, and Altay gently landed on her left shoulder, nuzzling her face affectionately with his head.

As the two left the cabin one after the other, many guards cast concerned glances at the gyrfalcon on Qingyan's left shoulder.

Such a handsome gyrfalcon is not something you can see every day; I think this gyrfalcon must have been a reward Qingyan received back then.

Li Dequan saw Yin and Qingyan coming over and quickly got up to greet them. Suddenly, he noticed Altai and shuddered. Yin laughed unkindly.

"Anda, you've seen Altai for a long time now, why are you still afraid of it?" Yin asked helplessly, looking at Li Dequan's behavior.

"Fourth Master, what brings this little darling here?" Li Dequan knew perfectly well that Altai was the son of the gyrfalcon that had been bestowed upon Qingyan years ago. Now, this creature was not only Qingyan's loyal carrier pigeon, but also one of the objects of his covetousness towards Yiken'e.

"Yes, it's business. They sent a message asking for Qingyan's opinion!" Yin said directly.

Li Dequan knew that Altai only had information about transporting Qingyan, so he didn't ask any further questions.

Inside the cabin, Kangxi had already received news of Altai's arrival and was thinking about when he could have Yinzhi and Qingyan bring the gyrfalcon over.

The two approached from a distance. Kangxi looked at the gyrfalcon leisurely preening on Qingyan's shoulder, and the veins on his forehead throbbed.

"Father, Altai came to deliver some business letters to Qingyan. He just arrived, and I told him to leave them there. The matters aren't very urgent, so Qingyan can deal with them when he gets back!" Yin knew that the Crown Prince was preparing to test his skills against the Eighth Prince. These two were also foolish. Kangxi was in his prime; how could he possibly allow his son to obtain this position?

Yiken'e was held tightly by Kangxi; otherwise, he would have run down to play with Altai long ago.

"Altai, come here, come here!" Yiken'e wriggled her little body, ready to interact with Altai.

Yin glared angrily at the restless little body. If Altai thought that Kangxi was attacking Yiken'e, it would be really troublesome.

He glanced at Qingyan with slight concern and told her to keep a close eye on Altai.

Qingyan calmly watched Yiken'e's little actions, not worried at all that Altai would help.

Altai seemed oblivious to Iken's struggles, leisurely grooming his fur and giving Iken a disdainful look.

"Fourth Prince, your gyrfalcon is truly exceptional!" Kangxi thought with envy. He had given the gyrfalcon to Qingyan as a reward.

Who would have thought that Qingyan would let Haidongqing go out to breed on its own, and it gave birth to such a wonderful child.

"Father, you flatter me. This one was personally trained by me. Usually, when we are in the capital, it only delivers messages from my residence to my father-in-law's residence!" Yinzhen felt that the gyrfalcon was being used underutilized.

Kangxi's expression turned somewhat strange. He felt that Qingyan was wasting such a valuable asset by using such a hawk as a carrier pigeon.

"Father, you don't need to think about it. This Altai doesn't even listen to my orders, it only listens to Qingyan's orders. Those people that it can send messages to are also people that Qingyan personally brought to let it get to know!" Yin directly explained to Kangxi.

Before even mentioning Altai's fussy habits, Kangxi was speechless. How had Qingyan managed to raise this gyrfalcon into such a shrewd and calculating creature?

"Such a dangerous animal, don't let Yiken'e keep it!" Kangxi said directly.

He can't raise them, so don't raise them here, Grandpa Yiken.

"Grandpa, I can't keep my father's Vajra, and I can't keep my mother's two gyrfalcons either. I grew up with Altai, and they won't let me keep them either!" Yiken'e said coquettishly.

“How about Grandpa prepares another Tibetan Mastiff for you? Your father’s King Kong has always been raised by him personally. It’s very loyal, and even your mother can’t get it to do anything.” Kangxi knew Yin’s King Kong very well. Back then, he thought about exchanging King Kong with Yin because he saw how majestic King Kong was. Who would have thought that King Kong would go on a hunger strike in the rare bird garden? In the end, he had no choice but to return it to Yin.
