Chapter 613 Iken's Independence

Inside the study, Yinxiang, Yinhe, and Yiken'e, the two adults and one child, sat properly in their chairs, practicing calligraphy at the table by the window. Yin stood behind the three of them, looking at their large characters, and could only sigh.

Yiken'e was young and lacked arm strength, so although his tracing was very neat, his handwriting was better than that of Yinxiang and Yin. When Yin looked at the two of them tracing, he understood why Kangxi was angry.

"Thirteenth and Fourteenth, you two come here!" Yin handed the two girls to Yiken'e's side, pointed to Yiken'e's tracing, and said to the two girls.

"You two are Yiken'e's uncles. Look at Yiken'e's handwriting!" Yinxiang showed the two men Yiken'e's calligraphy. Yinxiang was astonished. Kangxi always said that although Yiken'e was young, he was more diligent in his studies than they were. Yinxiang always felt that Kangxi favored Yiken'e.

Reality proved otherwise. Yiken'e's handwriting was neat and tidy, and it bore a five-tenths resemblance to Kangxi's. If Yiken'e hadn't been so weak, his handwriting would have been even more like Kangxi's than the Crown Prince's.

"Fourth Brother, how come Yiken'e's handwriting is..." Yinxiang didn't explain clearly, but Yin and the others understood that he meant to ask why it resembled Kangxi's.

"It was Father Emperor who personally taught Yiken'e his early education, and all the calligraphy practice was also done by Father Emperor himself." Prince Yin said helplessly, as Kangxi had directly taken all the responsibility from his father.

Yin desperately hoped that Hafeng would grow up quickly, so that he could fulfill his dream of becoming a father.

Yinxiang and Yin cast helpless glances at Yin, truly feeling sorry for him.

"Fourth Brother, you've really gone through a lot!" Yin said directly.

“Alright, now that you’ve seen Yiken’e’s handwriting, shouldn’t you go and write it properly?” Yin said to his younger brother.

Yinxiang and Yinren sat properly in their chairs and continued practicing calligraphy. Qingyan walked in from outside with Sulan, who was carrying afternoon tea for the four children.

"Fourth Sister-in-law..." Thirteen and Fourteen smelled the aroma and quickly looked up, seeing Qingyan carrying delicious food over.

"Master, shouldn't we let our two younger brothers eat something?" Qingyan asked directly.

"Alright, you can all come over here first!" Lord Yin said helplessly.

Yinxiang and Yin quickly put down their calligraphy brushes and ran over, but Yiken'e didn't. He was still diligently tracing the characters, determined to write them all neatly. Yinxiang and Yin had already finished half of their afternoon tea when the twins finally came over and sat down.

Both Yinxiang and Yinren's faces turned slightly red. These two children were definitely here to upset them.

"Thirteenth Uncle, Fourteenth Uncle, you can't do one thing and then do another. You have to do everything properly." Yiken'e was lecturing like a little adult while eating an egg tart.

Yinxiang and Yin's faces turned red with embarrassment. The twins were clearly embarrassed. They had studied in the Imperial Study for so many years, yet they hadn't accomplished as much as these two children.

In the early morning, Qingyan heard a commotion outside. Just as she was about to turn over, she discovered a warm body beside her. Opening her almond-shaped eyes, she saw that Yin was still by her side.

"Sisi, why didn't you go for your morning exercise today?" Qingyan asked curiously.

While at the mansion, Yin would take the children for morning exercises every day, including Hutuli Fengsheng Zhalafen. Yin always said that if his daughter could have a good body, it would be a foundation for her future life.

The little girl listens to her father and tries her best to meet the requirements set by Yin. Yiken'e quietly accompanies her younger sister and they work hard together in the morning exercise.

“There are Thirteen and Fourteen, they’ll take good care of the twins!” Yin grinned mischievously.

Yesterday, Yiken'e had just humiliated the 13th and 14th princes, and today Yin handed Yiken'e over to them to take charge of.

Qingyan looked up and stared at Yin for a while, and seeing that he was not worried at all, he did not say anything more.

"Little darling, we need to clean up the servants we brought. Some of the servants from the Thirteenth and Fourteenth families have been negligent!" Yin hugged Qingyan and lay down on the bed together.

Yesterday, Yin went to the courtyard to find Yinxiang and Yin. When he arrived at the courtyard gate, he heard Yinxiang's servants trying to ask for an extra pingbing for Yinxiang, but they were shoved by the other servants in the courtyard.

Later, Su Peisheng took special care of the matter. The servants involved were imprisoned in the back courtyard, and E'lu was conducting a surprise interrogation.

"Fourth Brother, this isn't the first time this has happened. When I first came to the villa, I couldn't even command the servants in your study and courtyard. They even said they only obey your orders!" Qingyan complained.

When Yin brought up this matter, she hoped to make it clear to him that the servants in the study were all arrogant and haughty.

“It’s inevitable that there are people here. Two-thirds of them are servants bought locally. These people will definitely act according to the rules of ordinary families. They think that serving in the master’s courtyard means they have the most power!” Yin turned his head and kissed Qingyan’s cheek.

Qingyan pouted slightly, her face full of displeasure.

These lackeys had crossed his bottom line, so Qingyan had them all beaten to death without any hesitation.

Since that incident, the servants behaved themselves for a while. Now, in this small courtyard, the servants are even more fiercely fighting among themselves, with many of them single-mindedly wanting to enter the study's courtyard.

"Fourth Brother, should we get up?!" Qingyan heard Yiken'e scolding the servants and wanted to go see what was happening outside so that her son wouldn't be wronged.

“No need, Thirteen and Fourteen are watching over things. Yiken’e will have to face these things independently. You can’t keep an eye on him all the time, can you?” Yin patted Qingyan on the back, assuring her to trust her son.

Qingyan listened to Yin's words and felt that what he said made sense. Sooner or later, the twins would have to handle these things themselves. If he always took care of them, it would make them feel dependent on him.

She nestled in his arms, listening intently to the sounds outside.

In the courtyard, Yiken asked the servants to help Thirteen and Fourteen get their towels, but the servants were very unhappy, which made Yiken very angry.

“Yiken’e, you are the master, you don’t need your people to carry out the punishment!” Yinxiang quickly reminded him as he saw Yiken’e preparing to punish someone.

"Eunuch Su, please go and ask the people from the Shenxing Division to take the punishment!" Yiken said to Su Peisheng as he turned around.

“!” Su Peisheng bowed and then turned and left the courtyard.

Yinxiang and Yin'er looked at Yiken'e with a look of shock on their faces. Yiken'e actually showed a domineering aura. Yin and Qingyan did not appear and directly handed the matter over to a child to make a decision.

"Should we go and call Fourth Brother?" Yin asked Yinxiang in a low voice.

Yinxiang considered it for a moment, then shook his head decisively. They were so close to Yinhe and Qingyan's side; how could they not hear him? They were definitely preparing to let go.
