Chapter 672 Kangxi and the Twins

As night fell, just as Yin and Qingyan had fallen asleep, a whistle suddenly sounded in the camp. Yin immediately got up, quickly put on his civilian clothes, and placed the children in the stroller next to her.

"Little darling, wake up! Someone must have broken into the camp. Take the children and go hide." After putting the children down, Yin saw that Qingyan didn't react, so he pinched her cheek hard. Instantly, Qingyan woke up.

"Mmm..." Fang Qingyan was about to speak when he covered her mouth, and she slowly regained consciousness.

"Little darling, the Imperial Guards' whistle has sounded. The situation is serious!" As soon as Yin finished speaking, Qingyan took out a large pouch from his spatial storage, inside which was an American-made pistol and a number of bullets.

"For self-defense!" Even if Yin's archery skills weren't bad, at this juncture, who knew if the enemy had firearms? Qingyan stood up, put the two children into her spatial storage, and looked up at him with her little face. "Don't go any closer, there are new soldiers around."

Yin pinched her little face and smiled.

"Little darling, stay in the tent and don't show your face," Yin whispered.

After Yin finished speaking, he got up and walked out.

Qingyan entered the space and felt a warm feeling in her heart when she saw the twins sleeping soundly in the room.

"You two little ones, you must grow up well. Right now, your father and mother can support you, but in the future, you will have to rely on yourselves." Qingyan hoped that the children could grow up well. Yiken'e was Yin's eldest son and would inherit everything from Yin.

Inside the camp, the atmosphere was no longer as warm as it had been in the main space. As night fell, a group of men in black appeared at the camp entrance. They did not intend to approach Kangxi's tent, but instead headed towards the tent where provisions were stored.

The imperial tent was set up on high ground. Kangxi led his princes to stand at the entrance, looking down at the camp entrance. To their right was the place where the army stored its provisions.

It was obvious that there were enemy soldiers in the army. Their supplies were being moved to different locations and tents every day. They found the supply tents less than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea after entering the camp and prepared to set them on fire.

Upon discovering them, the Imperial Guards immediately sounded the whistle, and the new army opened fire on them instantly.

"Boss, leave some alive," Kangxi said, his eyes half-closed.

These people must have been sent by the people of the capital. Without supplies, the returning entourage would probably be unable to move an inch.

The delay in returning to Beijing gave those people more time to make their plans, which made him increasingly impatient with them, and he prepared to deal with them in one fell swoop.

"Father, you should go back to the imperial tent and wait for the results. I will wait here with my brothers." The Crown Prince hoped that Kangxi would go into the imperial tent as soon as possible. If the men in black outside were brought by Prime Minister Suo, he would still have some room to maneuver.

If Emperor Kangxi were here, it would be difficult for him to handle things.

"Alright, you brothers can keep watch outside." Kangxi understood the Crown Prince's thoughts. He couldn't control what was said outside, so it was good that the Crown Prince could cover it up.

"Yes!" The Crown Prince and several other princes bowed and paid their respects.

Yin and Yin exchanged a glance. They both understood Kangxi and the Crown Prince's plans. There were many outsiders in the camp. If they exposed the family scandal, it would probably cause the royal family to lose face.

"Fourth Prince, you and Yinzhi both have children. You should go back and take care of them. It wouldn't be good if the children were frightened." The Crown Prince dismissed the two of them directly.

Yin felt a jolt of alarm; was the Crown Prince preparing an excuse to escape?

"Yes!" Yinxian agreed, then gave Yin a wink, "Fourth brother, Xiaoguai can't take care of the twins either. The two children need a strong one to take care of them."

As soon as he finished speaking, the Crown Prince nodded in satisfaction. Yin's idea was quite good.

"Yes!" Yin nodded. It was best to stay out of this chaotic situation.

The Crown Prince ordered him to leave, so even if Kangxi investigated, he wouldn't be able to trace it back to him.

Yin and Yin left first. On the way back, Yin whispered to him, "Fourth brother, stop associating with the Crown Prince. Let us leave first for the sake of the Hesheli family."

Yin smiled coldly. Anyone could see through the Crown Prince's little scheme. Kangxi just felt that it was inappropriate to reprimand the Crown Prince in public.

"Brother, I know. Things have calmed down. Come over to my place with Songkriyirha." Yin likes Songkriyirha; she's a very well-behaved girl.

Yin smiled. Yin was a doting father to his daughter, and even Songkelierha benefited from it.

"Pay more attention to Yiken'e, he is your eldest son. How many days have you spent with him?" Yin whispered to Yin, reminding him not to neglect his eldest son.

Yin said with a dark face, "The eldest son should be properly raised, and I am prepared to be a strict father!"

Therefore, Qingyan treated Yiken'e better. As for his son, Yin could only love him in his heart. The people arranged around him were all carefully selected by Yin. Before he turned 10, he would never allow outsiders to harm Yiken'e.

"Alright, I won't say much more. Look at Hutuli Fengsheng Zhalafen and Yiken'e. They are twins, but their personalities are very different." Yin had to admit that the little girl in the twins was even more pleasing to the eye when she acted cute. Her sweet smile made people's hearts melt.

"Sigh... I agree to anything the little girl does when she pleads. She can be a strict mother, though." Yin shook his head and said. Yin could handle everything outside, but he instantly gave in to Hutuli Fengsheng Zhalafen's pleading.

"Pfft!" Yin had to admit that he and his brother were the same; when faced with the daughters they loved, they were destined to compromise.

Yin laughed, "My elder brother is about the same size."

After the two brothers parted ways, Yincai arrived at the tent. He walked around the screen, looked at the empty tent, and a slight smile appeared on his lips.

"Little darling, come out." Yin called softly a few times.

Qingyan appeared on the bed, her little face still looking like she hadn't woken up yet, which made Yin chuckle.

"Sisi, you're back?" Qingyan waved her hand and carried both children out.

"Hmm!" Yin changed into his everyday clothes, washed up, and then sat down next to Qingyan.

"The Crown Prince sent us back first." Yin held his playful Hutuli Fengsheng Zhalafen and strolled around. Every time the little one wanted to sleep, Yin had to coax her to sleep. Even Qingyan couldn't coax the little girl to sleep.

"Hmph, you only came back to coax your daughter to sleep, didn't you?" Qingyan thought jealously, the little girl's status was clearly much higher than hers.

Yin pinched Qingyan's little face, holding his daughter as they strolled around. The little girl had persevered until now, and was now extremely tired.

"Little girl, do you miss your father?" Yin laughed. "Before, when we weren't at the camp, Mother wouldn't let her sleep, and in the end, Father Emperor had to step in to coax her."

Hutu Lifengsheng Zhalafen was an exception; Emperor Kangxi hadn't even coaxed his own daughters, so he made an exception for this granddaughter. (To be continued.
