Upon entering the mansion, Yiken'e was full of energy, but after a while, his eyes slowly began to close.
"Yiken'e too!" Qingyan could feel his youngest son's breathing slow down. "Let's go back first!"
At this time, the two children are not yet asleep. As soon as you switch hands, the twins will wake up.
Back in the inner chamber, the bedding inside Youyou's carriage had been changed, and Yin and Qingyan gently placed the two children inside.
Their chubby little hands were placed on either side of their heads, and their little bellies were bobbing up and down as they breathed.
"Let's go," Yin said softly.
Upon arriving at the back garden again, the servants had already set up the fishing gear. In the pavilion, there were barbecue grills. Qingyan looked at the stone table, which was covered with a variety of seasonings, all of which she had specially prepared.
"Wow, Sisi, the arduous task of fishing is entrusted to you!" Qingyan had someone light the stove and started stir-frying fermented bean paste and garlic slices in a pot. The snails that the servants had prepared in advance were also stir-fried in the pot. After a while, a little Shaoxing wine was added to remove the fishy smell.
Every summer, Qingyan would have his servants prepare some food specifically for Yin.
"It's been a long time since I've eaten this!" Qingyan had someone bring toothpicks from the bamboo town. Soon, the snails were cooked, and Qingyan served them in two blue and white porcelain bowls. He then took the toothpicks and brought them to Yin's side to eat.
Although the snails were small, they had some meat on them, and Yin didn't mind, so he took one and started eating.
In the garden, where it was just the two of them, they could act more freely.
"Delicious!" Yin praised generously.
She smiled, realizing it had been a long time since she had heard him praise her.
"Eat quickly!" Yin was worried that he wouldn't be able to catch any fish; he rarely had any affinity for animals.
"My fish has taken the bait!" Qingyan watched as her fish floated slightly, but she didn't dare to stand up easily. She put the blue and white porcelain basin next to her and quickly got up to pull the fish away.
A moment later, a grass carp surfaced. Yin took a net and scooped it up from below, and the fish was safely inside the prince's fish.
"Sisi, stop fishing, there are enough fish for the two of us!" Qingyan smiled.
Each time, she would hang the fish up beforehand, partly to save face for Yin, and partly because the two of them wouldn't need too much grilled fish. (To be continued.
