Chapter Eight: Fourth Master Reveals His True Colors

After finishing his official business, Kangxi went to Chengqian Palace to share Yin's travelogue with Consort Tong. He pondered how to make Fei Yanggu waste Yin's time. While making plans in his mind, he sneezed twice. Li Dequan, who was standing to the side, thought to himself, "It's time to put more clothes on His Majesty."

Outside the palace, Yin finished writing a letter to his mother to greet her, and then grumbled inwardly, denouncing Kangxi's inhumanity and recounting the little pleasures he had with Qingyan. He even told her about how that unkind fourth sister, who was like a little dumpling, used all sorts of tricks to stay in bed.

Having lost a daughter, Consort Tongjia found solace in the amusing anecdotes from the Qingyan banquet.

As Yin watched the shadow guards leave, he cursed the unkind Kangxi in his heart again, telling his mother to give him a good dressing down to prevent Kangxi from causing trouble again. It was really not easy to get along with Qingyan while being under the control of two sister-obsessed men!

The fact that Saito and Eshuo were able to be released from the military camp must have been with Master Kang's permission. After Yin figured out the key to everything, he looked up to the sky and sighed, "Sure enough, if there's a son who's a troublemaker, there's a father who'll be a troublemaker too!"

Yin still remembered Qingyan's resentful little expression at that time. He turned his head to look at the moonlight outside. He needed to get a good rest. Tomorrow morning, he would have to pass two more tests before he could see his beloved little darling!

I will not give up!

Yin silently cheered himself up, his stubborn temper completely provoked by the two sister-obsessed girls.

When morning arrived, Yin followed his usual practice and did his morning exercise before walking to Qingyan's courtyard. Today was a day of rest for the court officials. Fei Yanggu listened to his two sons' complaints and couldn't help but worry about his beloved daughter. The little girl was still innocent and unaware of the dangers of willfulness.

None of the princes were simple-minded; they had to endure more than ordinary children. Now, Yin had taught them a lesson.

"Fourth Uncle, you're up?" Yin noticed that Fei Yanggu's complexion was not good. After respectfully greeting Fei Yanggu, he stood obediently in front of the father and his two sons. Qingyan's bedroom was in the room behind them.

"Yin, what brings you to Qingyan's place so early?" Fei Yanggu lowered his voice, making sure his little darling didn't hear anything she shouldn't. They had learned from their previous experience that Qingyan would pounce on him as soon as she heard Yin's voice.

Yin felt a chill in his heart. His fourth uncle didn't like him appearing in front of Qingyan. He had better change his strategy, otherwise, Fei Yanggu would really throw him out of the mansion.

"I just finished practicing my boxing and remembered Qingyan's instructions to ask her to get up early and check on the epiphyllum!" In the greenhouse, Qingyan was carefully cultivating two exquisite epiphyllum flowers. The gardener calculated that they would bloom in the next few days. She often slept in, and Fei Yanggu and E Shuo were often not at home. In order to see the results of her labor, she could only ask Yin for help.

Immediately, the faces of the three men in front of Yin darkened. At this moment, Su Peisheng admired his master from the bottom of his heart for being able to defeat these three gentlemen so quickly.

“Fourth Prince, you should avoid suspicion at your age. Qingyan is still young, and you certainly don’t want her reputation to be tarnished, right?” Saito directly confronted Yin.

Yesterday, the two brothers were completely defeated by Yin, which made him so angry that he couldn't sleep all night. Today, he can finally get his revenge.

Yin looked at the three people in front of him expressionlessly. His imposing aura surprised Fei Yanggu. He had never seen such an imperial aura on the Crown Prince. Could it be that the Fourth Prince was born with the aura of a dragon?

Previously, Emperor Kangxi had a great headache, as cultivating dragon energy was not something that could be accomplished in a day.

Both Saito and Eshuo noticed that Feiyangu was acting strangely, and they stood silently behind him.

"Fourth Uncle, I will not do anything to harm Qingyan." Yin smiled faintly. Just now, he had not restrained his temperament, which probably gave Fei Yanggu a headache.

The Emperor's meaning was clear: Ulanara was no fool, and the choice of her as the primary consort was practically made. If the prince were to ascend the throne, their entire family would rise to prominence.

In Feiyangu's eyes, none of these honors were as important as the happiness of his daughter, Pigan.

"Come to the study with me!" Fei Yanggu looked at Yin, whose face was very pale. Saito and Eshuo dared not make any further moves, only wanting to send Yin away as soon as possible to ensure their younger sister's happiness and well-being.

Inside the study, Yin sat facing Fei Yanggu, no longer suppressing his oppressive aura and releasing it directly.

Fei Yanggu secretly regretted how he had let his precious daughter provoke this jinx.

"Fourth Prince, let's not beat around the bush. The imposing aura emanating from you..." In the court, Fei Yanggu was considered the person most in line with the Emperor's heart. He didn't believe that Kangxi was only worried about the princes' secret guards, which was why he sent the person to his residence. He could guess what was going on behind the scenes.

"Fourth Uncle, it's innate! When I was young, I didn't know how to restrain myself, and Father Emperor warned me not to let anyone know." At that time, the Empress Dowager was still alive, but this happened in the previous life.

Instantly, Fei Yanggu felt a chill run down his spine. His Majesty was deliberately making things difficult for him by letting such a master be with Qingyan.

"What are your thoughts about Qingyan...?" Fei Yanggu was very worried that Qingyan would be harmed. Originally, he was at ease, thinking that it was probably best for young Qingyan to grow up day by day under Yin's protection.

However, now that Yin was involved in danger, he had to think more carefully.

"I will protect Qingyan and make her happy and healthy for the rest of her life!" Fei Yanggu didn't care about anything else, but he was persistent about Qingyan for two lifetimes.

In his past life, he was able to relinquish his power solely to prevent the Uya clan from harming Qingyan. In this life, Qingyan is tightly protected by Feiyanggu and has not been wasted under the Jueluo clan's rule.

Fei Yanggu's sharp eyes were fixed on Yin, and he secretly assessed whether Yin was telling the truth. He had finally obtained Qingyan's daughter, and if she were to be harmed, Fei Yanggu would definitely be furious.

"Fourth Uncle, please grant my request. I can do my best for Qingyan!" Yin Qing's clear gaze stunned Fei Yanggu. Among all the princes, the Fourth Prince was the least willing to admit defeat. Even Kangxi both loved and hated his precious son. Now, for Qingyan, he lowered his head.

Fei Yanggu was conflicted. On one hand, he was happy that Qingyan would receive some care, but on the other hand, he was worried that the dragon aura on Yin might arouse Kangxi's suspicion.

"His Majesty already knows?" Fei Yanggu was stunned. He clearly had a good successor, so why was His Majesty still worried about the Crown Prince?

“Anguma’s people are still here, and Father and Mother can’t protect me.” Yin laid it all out directly.
