The afternoon sun shone on the earth. Yin and Qingyan led their brothers to lunch, while the servants knelt in the courtyard. Some of the servants were very angry. Back in the palace, Kangxi had strict orders that masters could not punish servants at will.
Everyone was thinking that once they returned, they must write a letter to the capital to accuse Yinzhen and have the people of the Imperial Household Department put pressure on Emperor Kangxi.
Yin would not give these people a chance. After lunch, Yin led everyone to sit in the study. Yinxiang and Yin sat there, thinking that Yin had gone too far and might bring trouble upon them.
"Fourth Brother, those servants might have connections with the palace!" Yinxiang said anxiously.
“There are three in total. One is the head steward, Bila, and the other two are matrons who teach etiquette. They are all under the command of the Guarjia clan,” Qingyan said directly.
When Yin mentioned that he was going to punish the servants, Qingyan had already sent people to investigate. She wouldn't leave any hidden dangers for the mansion. If these people dared to lay a hand on her family, she wouldn't be lenient.
Under the Guarjia umbrella.....
"Could it be an informant sent by that person?" Yinxiang became nervous. The two in the Eastern Palace hadn't made many moves lately, and everyone thought they had kept quiet.
“They must have been sent here in advance. Bila has been here for several years. It’s not very practical to send them here directly. They must be pawns we’ve been raising!” Yin shook his head and said.
The twins sat obediently in their chairs, listening to their parents and two uncles, and Yiken'e memorized their conversation.
The servants were becoming increasingly cunning, so the two of them could only keep a close eye on Yin and Qingyan's actions.
"Fourth Brother, how many servants like this do you think there are in the villa?" Yinxiang asked.
"I don't know. We can only investigate slowly. These people were all dispatched by the Imperial Household Department. If we don't investigate carefully, we might make mistakes," Yin said directly.
Qingyan sat to the side, listening to the three brothers, Yin and his brother, discussing. Through the lens of her spatial dimension, she observed the servants outside. The expressions on their faces were very bad. Apart from the three from the Imperial Household Department, whose eyes occasionally showed a hint of resentment, the others did not hide their emotions at all.
"Alright, you two go and handle it." Yin handed the matter over directly to Yinxiang and Yin.
"Yes!" Yinxiang and Yin went outside.
Yin took his wife and children to the study, and the four of them sat down at the desk.
"Fourth Prince, are you really at ease?" Qingyan asked, gazing intently at Yin.
"Don't worry, we don't need to worry too much. They'll all grow up eventually!" Yin said helplessly. "Little one, you need to start copying the Buddhist scriptures for the Mid-Autumn Festival. I've already copied the Mongolian Buddhist scriptures for you; just follow those!"
Qingyan looked at the memorial Yin handed over and smiled helplessly.
The twins watched as their mother obediently sat in the study by the window, spread out the Xuan paper specially made for copying Buddhist scriptures, and began to copy them.
"You two, start learning from the textbook below!" Yin picked up the book and began to teach the twins.
The twins listened attentively to Yin's lecture. Before long, all the windows of the study were closed from the outside. Qingyan could hear the sounds from the courtyard intermittently. She took two deep breaths and continued to copy Buddhist scriptures, muttering to herself as she wrote.
By evening, the courtyard had been thoroughly cleaned. Qingyan put down his brush and listened to Sulan's report with a calm expression.
"Alright, once everything is ready, let the two gentlemen have dinner together!" Qingyan didn't comment on these matters, but since Yin had expressed the mansion's stance, she had no choice but to support him.
Su Lan went to the study of Thirteen and Fourteen, while Qing Yan took Su Zhu to the dining room. They saw that the food was already laid out on the table, and most of the dishes were meat dishes.
"Little darling, is everything ready?" Yin asked as soon as Qingyan walked into the dining room.
Qingyan nodded: "There are ten dishes in total, six of which are meat dishes, and only four are vegetable dishes!"
Yin glanced at the dining table, which was mostly covered in meat dishes. His two younger brothers, Thirteen and Fourteen, especially loved meat. Even their father, Yiken, had similar tastes.
"Little darling, try to make them some refreshing dishes. Eating these things in this hot summer will definitely make them suffer from summer heat!" Yin and Qingyan said.
"Fourth Brother...we don't mind at all!" Yinxiang and Yin walked in and heard what Yin was saying, so they quickly spoke up to stop them.
Qingyan suppressed a smile; Yinxiang and Yinren would definitely beg for mercy.
"Father..." Yiken'e rushed into the dining room, grabbed Yin's arm, and said in a slightly coquettish tone, "Father, I want to eat meat!"
Yin looked down at Yiken'e, his left hand 'touching' Yiken'e's little head.
"Yiken'e, what did you promise your father?" Yin looked down at his son.
"I want to eat vegetables!" Yiken said directly, her head lowered.
“Thirteenth and Fourteenth Princes, you two are elders. Shouldn’t you set an example for your nephews and nieces?” Yin said, looking at Yinxiang and Yin.
Seeing Yinxiang and Yinku's expressions, Qingyan burst out laughing.
"Yes." Yinxiang and Yinren could only acquiesce. "Fourth Brother, we will definitely set a good example."
Kangxi was concerned about the diet of Yinxiang and Yin. Yin didn't say much, and Yinxiang and Yin simply acquiesced without letting Yin waste a single word.
In front of the children, Yinxiang and Yinren finally realized that they were the elders, and they unconsciously did their best in front of the twins.
"Thirteenth Uncle, Fourteenth Uncle, we agreed on this together, didn't we?" Yiken asked angrily, glaring at the two who were already standing on Yin's side.
Yin glanced at Yinxiang and Yin, realizing that the four children must have been discussing something outside.
“Alright, listen to Fourth Brother. I think what Fourth Brother said is very good. He is right, so we should listen to him, you know?” Yinxiang quickly said obsequiously.
Qingyan watched her two younger brothers interact with the children, a faint smile on her face.
"Yiken...you two sit obediently at the table, we're about to start dinner!" Yin gave the order, and Yinxiang, Yin and the children all sat obediently at the table.
When everyone started their dinner, Yin put some green vegetables on Qingyan's plate. Under Yin's angry glare, the remaining four people stopped using their chopsticks to eat the vegetables.
“Father, this vegetable is delicious, it doesn’t even taste like vegetables!” Yiken’e said directly.
"Then eat obediently!" Qingyan said directly.
