Chapter 189 An Eye-Opening Experience

The Fourth Prince hadn't seen Su Peisheng in such a hurry for quite a while. Over the years, Su Peisheng had become increasingly adept at handling affairs and more and more convenient to use.

Su Peisheng thought that his little ancestor probably hadn't caused any major trouble; he had just accidentally peeked at the erotic pictures hidden away in his study.

As long as you don't get angry, this is just a very, very small matter.

Under the teasing gaze of the Fourth Prince, Su Peisheng took out the solidly wrapped erotic book from his arms.

Su Peisheng himself had not seen the contents of the book. He only knew that it was a gift from the Third Prince, and that his master, in a fit of rage, had told him to stuff it somewhere.

It seems that even their master hasn't seen it. Otherwise, when the Third Prince joked about it, their master wouldn't have been so indifferent.

The Fourth Prince looked puzzled. He reached out and untied the gray cloth covering the painting, revealing three large characters for "erotic pictures."

The Fourth Prince put away the smile in his eyes and looked at Su Peisheng with an ambiguous expression. He had only asked Su Peisheng to find a few storybooks to subtly influence his son, Duofu.

But I didn't tell him to look for these disgusting things.

The Fourth Prince put down his teacup, turned the first page with his long, slender, white fingers, and the moment he saw it, he threw it away, his face frighteningly gloomy.

"Su Peisheng, how dare you!"

Su Peisheng had already obediently found a place to kneel down, he had long guessed that his master would definitely not be happy.

Thinking of his own life, Su Peisheng quickly offered an explanation.

“My lord, these are not things that I found. They were originally in your study. When you got married, these were gifts from Prince Cheng and were kept at the end of the bookshelf in your study.”

Su Peisheng looked up carefully, then immediately lowered his head, swallowed hard, and carefully considered his next words.

"Then, today the little master forbade me to follow him and stayed in the small study by himself. When I came out, I saw the little master grinning like an idiot, which I found a bit strange. When I went into the small study, I found out that the little master probably... probably looked through these things."

The Fourth Prince saw the erotic picture that had been thrown to the ground and turned over. It showed two men entwined in a passionate embrace. The Fourth Prince's eyes were complicated and dark, and his voice was low and hoarse, devoid of any emotion.

"Grinning like an idiot? Explain yourself, did you see it or not?"

Su Peisheng gritted his teeth, like a fish blown ashore, and stopped struggling.

"Yes, there are obvious signs of being read, and not just one... all three books have probably been read."

Su Peisheng felt that ever since he learned about his master's little scheme, he had never had a peaceful day. When would this end?

My master's temper is becoming increasingly unpredictable.

The Fourth Prince glanced at the erotic picture at his feet, then kicked Su Peisheng next to him without any embarrassment or awkwardness.

"Pick it up for me."

If Duofu were here, he would have found a hole to crawl into long ago. He has no penchant for looking at erotic pictures in front of others.

Su Peisheng quickly picked up the three erotic picture books scattered on the ground. He accidentally saw the contents and his hand trembled, almost dropping them.

Why isn't this a normal erotic picture? Why are there two men in it?

It's over.

It's all over.

Su Peisheng, his face ashen, held the three booklets above his head, waiting for his master to take them.

The Fourth Prince picked up the top book and began to read it. His face was serious and indifferent, and his eyes did not change. He did not look like he was reading a pornographic book at all, but rather like he was reading an official document of the court. He was so serious and attentive.

Su Peisheng waited downstairs for a long time, but saw no movement from above, so he couldn't help but secretly raise his head.

Then they saw their master holding a book of erotic pictures of men, reading it carefully.

Su Peisheng glanced at it, then quickly lowered his head, not daring to make any more small movements.

After an unknown amount of time, Su Peisheng finally heard his master's familiar voice above him, the tone of which showed no sign of anger.

Su Peisheng wasn't sure if he was too nervous and had misheard, or if his master was really not angry anymore.

"Su Peisheng, you said that Duofu's smiling face means he doesn't dislike you?"

Su Peisheng dared not reply casually. He wasn't a mind reader; he might misunderstand the young master's meaning.

He will be the only one who suffers punishment.

Su Peisheng stammered for a long time, his face turning red, but he couldn't utter a single word.

The Fourth Prince glanced at Su Peisheng and thought, "What a spineless servant. He says whatever comes to mind. Is he afraid I'll eat him alive?"

The Fourth Prince didn't ask any further questions. He narrowed his eyes, took a couple of sips of tea, stood up, changed his clothes, and walked towards his room.

He had sent word to his wife these past few days that he had important business to attend to and didn't have time to go to the backyard. He instructed her to keep an eye on the people in the backyard and not to go to the frontyard unless necessary.

Duofu was still wondering when he got back to his room why Su Peisheng had taken so long to go to the bathroom instead of saying he was just going.

Could it be constipation? Otherwise, why is there no one around?

As soon as Duofu returned, he gave the order: Xiazi went to the kitchen early to bring over his dinner earlier than usual.

He needs to eat a little earlier today, because he has important things to do tomorrow, and he might have to get up a little earlier as well.

Duofu's definition of waking up early is getting enough sleep and not sleeping in late anymore.

Since transmigrating, he has never experienced what it means to be up early, from 8 am to 7 am.

He can wake up naturally, whenever he wants.

The Fourth Prince initially refused, saying that time should not be wasted and that one must get up early and eat breakfast.

However, the Fourth Prince did not have the time or energy to argue with Duofu, who was hiding under the bed.

When we were young, we had to go to the study to read when it was time to do so. Now that we're grown up, we have to go to court or work to earn money when it's time to do so.

Gradually, the Fourth Prince himself was subtly influenced and tacitly approved of this behavior.

Duofu kept muttering that he was a monster and didn't need to cherish time; he was a monster and could get up whenever he wanted.

The Fourth Prince gradually came to agree with this in his heart. He thought that Duofu was right. If one were to become a monster and still live such a tiring life, it would indeed not be worth it.

Duofu lay on the rocking chair in the room, glancing at the door absently. Half a cup of tea's time had passed, and no one had returned.

It's one thing if Su Peisheng doesn't come back, but he can't stop someone from having constipation either.

Xiaxiazi went to get his food, why is he taking so long?

He clearly heard that Su Peisheng had sent someone early in the afternoon to tell him what he wanted for the evening. He should have prepared it in advance and just brought it back.

We were delayed on the way.
