Chapter 19 The Salted Fish Cries

Duofu is crying.

Is it really that hard to avoid being illiterate?

He just wanted to look at the picture book.

He had no desire to study for the imperial examinations.

Duofu looked at the Fourth Prince Yinzhen following behind, his two round fox eyes filled with sorrow and resentment.

Duofu turned his head, his eyes darting around. He didn't want to learn, but someone could force him to. His previous melancholy vanished completely.

It treads on four paws and shakes its round, bulging belly.

Duofu walked faster and faster, disappearing from the Fourth Prince Yinzhen's sight in the blink of an eye. His round body quickly ran back to his room at a considerable speed.

Duofu decided to go back to his room for a nap; he didn't want to go listen to the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, read aloud in the afternoon.

There's no rush to learn characters; just learn a few each day.

Even if we turned into dogs, we wouldn't feel this much pressure.

Whether I acknowledge it or not doesn't matter; it's all for a better life.

If his peaceful, carefree life is to be disrupted, he can simply stop reading storybooks and go out to listen to gossip; it will be the same.

Although in modern times he is a bit of a homebody, he likes to stay at home playing games, watching anime, and reading novels.

I don't really like going out for walks.

Now I have to go out for a walk, otherwise I'll be idle all day long, eating and sleeping, sleeping and eating, like raising piglets.

He fears that one day he may develop depression.

The Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, watched Duofu run away quickly and couldn't help but smile slightly before slowly walking back to his room.

I looked at Duofu, who was already lying in his nest, pretending to be asleep with his eyes closed.

The eyes of the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, were filled with starlight.

It's so nice to have Duoduo.

When Duofu secretly opened one eye, the Fourth Prince Yinzhen was no longer in the room.

Duofu breathed a sigh of relief; it seemed that the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, was just teasing him.

I didn't really force him to study together.

If the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, had really taken him to read together...

Duofu thought he would definitely cry in front of the Fourth Prince Yinzhen.

He wanted to make the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, understand that he was just a little puppy.

Now all you should do is sleep and drink milk.

Duofu slowly fell asleep inside the room, and light snow began to fall outside. The Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, was diligently reviewing his lessons in his small study.

Although he hasn't gone to the Imperial Study yet, he already has a lot of homework to do, otherwise he won't be able to keep up with everyone else when he goes to the Imperial Study.

Every prince's birth mother would start teaching him to read when he was two or three years old, in order to prevent him from falling behind the rest of the family and being disliked by the emperor.

Duofu was sleeping comfortably in his bed when suddenly he felt a chill and unconsciously buried his head under the covers.

Just now.

Dofu is dreaming.

In his dream, the Fourth Prince Yinzhen was like an extremely cold and ruthless demon king.

He was holding a small whip, and was doing so with all his might, as if trying to spur a ox.

Let him read and write.

He cried and whined, but it was no use at all. Instead, he was criticized by the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, for being stupid and clumsy.

He was in a dream.

Not only did he fail to complete the numerous tasks assigned by the Fourth Prince Yinzhen, he was also subjected to a severe shortage of food.

at last.

No matter how much he tried to charm and beg for a song, the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, didn't even glance at him again.

We need to send him back.

He said he wouldn't keep such a stupid animal.

Duofu suddenly opened his eyes, his beautiful fox eyes filled with tears.

It looks like I could burst into tears any second.

Duofu glanced around, but there wasn't a soul in sight.

He quickly got up and ran outside, arriving shortly afterward at the study of the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen.

Su Peisheng, the servant guarding outside the door, saw a white figure running towards them from afar and quickly opened the door a crack to let Duofu in.

Since the last time Duofu came to the small study to see the Fourth Prince Yinzhen, he was given the order that he could come in at any time without being stopped.

Duo Fu ran into the small study, and the moment her fox-like eyes saw the Fourth Prince Yinzhen, she could no longer hold back her tears, which streamed down her face.

It grabbed the Fourth Prince Yinzhen's trouser leg with both paws, looking like it was injured and wanted a hug.

The Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, had a cold glint in his eyes. He immediately put down the book in his hand, reached out and hugged the child, gently stroking him with his small hand.

"What's wrong, Duoduo? Who bullied you?"

Duofu cried loudly in the arms of the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen.

"I dreamt that you thought I was stupid and didn't want me anymore."

"I also dreamed that you made me learn to recognize big characters and read books every day."

"They didn't give me food, and they didn't try to comfort me."

Although the Fourth Prince Yinzhen could understand some of what Duofu said, it was all simple and easy to comprehend.

I'm not that good yet, able to fully understand what he's saying when he's crying.

The Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, immediately ordered Su Peisheng, who was outside the door, to come in and ask what had just happened in the room.

Has someone bullied his daughter, Duoduo?

Su Peisheng, who came in from outside, also looked puzzled.

He had been standing guard outside the Fourth Prince Yinzhen's study, so he had no idea about these things.

But Su Peisheng certainly wouldn't dare answer like that, and paused.

"This servant will go and call Xiao Jizi over immediately to see if there is anything I haven't taken good care of."

The Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, was coaxing the puppy in his arms when he heard this, so he just nodded casually.

The Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, had just thought about it and realized that in Chengqian Palace, no one would dare to bully his pet so blatantly.

indeed.

When Xiao Jizi was called over for questioning, he was completely confused and had no idea what had happened.
