Duofu didn't hear anything wrong; all he heard was his pet owner saying he was drunk and needed help to bed.

Duofu quickly and unsteadily climbed off the Fourth Prince's body. He had to climb off three times before he finally managed to stand up firmly in the Fourth Prince's arms.
