Chapter 240 Picking Chrysanthemums by the Eastern Fence

Duofu felt that it wasn't good for his pet owner to stay at home all the time.

At first, it was quite novel, but later he felt that his body couldn't handle it.

His pet owner is always leisurely and has nothing to do, putting all his energy into him. Even if he has a strong back, he can't withstand that.

Duofu has been eating too much meat lately, and his body can't take it anymore. He still wants to eat some vegetables.

Duofu looked at the empty room and knew without a doubt that his pet owner had gone to farm.

For some reason, his pet owner has recently become very interested in farming and even cleared a few acres of land to personally experience the satisfaction of farming.

Duofu didn't feel any satisfaction in farming; he worked himself to the bone but couldn't grow more than a few pounds of grain.

Duofu's round eyes darted around, and he kicked off the blanket with his little feet. His owner must have been bored out of his mind to decide to experience being a farmer.

Or perhaps they want to experience the life of a hermit, picking chrysanthemums by the eastern fence and living a leisurely life in the southern mountains.

Duofu felt that there was one good thing about it: at least since his human started farming, all the energy he had been expending had finally found a purpose.

There's no need to cling to this not-so-fertile land anymore.

Duofu felt that if things continued like this, he didn't know if the cow on his back would die, but he was sure that his land would be ruined due to insufficient nutrition, lack of fertility, and severe soil erosion.

Duofu rubbed his aching back. His pet owner was even more of a dog than him; he hadn't been biting people much lately.

His pet owner seems to have picked up his old bad habits, biting him all over his body, leaving hardly any unscathed spots. Although it doesn't hurt much, it feels like they're painting on him.

Duofu glared at the red marks on his waist. He would get revenge next time. He would bite his cat owner's face until it was marked, and then see how he would face people.

Duofu moved her little hand and pulled the bell by the bed. Xiazi, who heard the bell outside, quickly led people to carry in the bathing and washing supplies.

Duofu watched as they swiftly put the items down, and in the blink of an eye, they all retreated. He moved his waist and felt that he could still move.

Duofu tried to get up with a somersault, but he used too much force and his back couldn't take it, so he cried out in pain.

He kept cursing his pet owner, as if he hadn't eaten meat in ages, and that he should have cultivated more land and exhausted all his energy before coming back.

Duofu now feels that his pet owner's previous job is no longer stressful at all. His pet owner is naturally energetic and never feels tired.

As Duofu slowly moved his body, he couldn't help but exclaim in comfort when his waist was immersed in the warm water.

Oh, a hot bath is so comfortable. It's a pity his human isn't here, otherwise he wouldn't have to lift a finger.

Duofu quickly washed up and then slowly picked up a plate of blue-green clothes that had been prepared beforehand and put them on.

Duofu took a few steps out of the room, sat down at the dining table, looked at the bright sun outside, and figured it wasn't noon yet, maybe a little after 10 a.m., he thought.

Duofu doesn't need to worry about not having lunch later if he eats now.

His pet owner wasn't home, and he used chopsticks to pick up food incredibly fast, much faster than his pet owner could do it for him.

With bulging cheeks, before even finishing what was in their mouths, they'd already put the next bite in with their chopsticks.

Duofu didn't feel any pain from his puffed-out cheeks; he felt that this was how he was eating.

You have to eat meat heartily to appreciate its flavor. His pet owner is so refined and polite, it feels like they're admiring a work of art, not eating a meal.

Duofu hasn't been influenced by his pet owner all these years.

Duofu ate too fast and didn't chew properly, so the food got stuck in his throat and he couldn't swallow it.

Duofu patted his chest with one hand and quickly grabbed the water bottle next to him with the other and gulped it down.

He finally managed to swallow all the food stuck in his throat and let out a long sigh of relief; that last bite had almost choked him to death.

Duofu's hand, which was holding chopsticks, slowed down a little. He wasn't in a hurry now, and could occasionally eat more politely.

He's a person of status now, how can he eat like a starving ghost?
