Chapter 29 A Life Even Dogs Wouldn't Live In

Duofu stayed at the Prince's residence for a few days and felt that the living environment there was not as good as that of Consort Tong's Chengqian Palace.

Although every day is just eating and sleeping, and occasionally going out for a stroll to digest.

Compared to Chengqian Palace, the Prince's Residence was much simpler and smaller.

But Duofu didn't mind; on the contrary, he was even happier because in this prince's quarters, the Fourth Prince Yinzhen was practically the boss, with no higher-ranking superior above him.

When the Fourth Prince Yinzhen went to school, Duofu would be the eldest son in this small area. No one would dare to give him a hard time, and he wouldn't have to curry favor with anyone. He could do whatever he wanted.

Duofu rolled around in bed while the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, went to the Imperial Study to study early in the morning. Duofu had no idea when he would go.

Every time Duofu opened his eyes and got out of bed, the bed was already empty. He never got up with the Fourth Prince.

Duofu enjoyed such good days for a week and had pretty much figured out what kind of prince he was.

Besides the Fourth Prince Yinzhen, the First Prince and the Third Prince also lived in the Princes' Residence, but they all lived on the west side, while the Fourth Prince Yinzhen's residence was on the east side.

Aside from the geographical location he knew, Duofu didn't know much else. He stayed in the ancestral hall all day and had never left the house.

Besides the fact that it's cold outside, which makes him unwilling to go out, there's another reason.

The Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, instructed the servants not to allow him to go out, but only to wander around the princes' quarters.

He was afraid that if he accidentally ran into a powerful person outside, and the Fourth Prince Yinzhen wasn't around, he would be punished without anyone to say anything.

Duofu was also quite scared; he was now regretting his life. Although at first, he was on the verge of death after transmigrating.

He's a coward now, a lazy bum who's afraid of dying. Better to live a miserable life than die, so he's doing just fine living like this.

Duofu squinted its big eyes, its eyebrows curved, looking leisurely and content, and was still wagging its tail happily.

Aside from his appearance, which might prevent him from finding a girlfriend in the future, I think he's quite satisfied with himself now.

Duofu already knew from his time in Chengqian Palace that the people in the palace didn't value human life, let alone that he was now a pet dog. If it weren't for the Fourth Prince Yinzhen's affection, he would probably be even less valuable.

He had to cling tightly to the powerful Fourth Prince Yinzhen, lest he become a pitiful figure in the palace.

Thinking of this, Duofu felt a sense of crisis. Since arriving at the prince's residence, he hadn't seen the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, except when he returned from all his classes in the afternoon.

In the morning, the Fourth Prince Yinzhen went to study, while he was still sleeping.

Fourth Prince Yinzhen, you don't come back for lunch. Instead, a special eunuch takes you to the Imperial Study for a meal. In the afternoon, you have their so-called physical training class, such as horseback riding and archery practice, so you can't come back either.

When get out of class ended, the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, would sometimes return to Chengqian Palace to pay his respects to Consort Tong before returning to the Princes' Quarters.

So, to Duofu's horror, he discovered that he was spending far less time with the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen.

This won't do, Duofu thought anxiously.

Feelings need to be nurtured from a young age, and they need to spend a lot of time together to develop a bond. Otherwise, what will happen to the Fourth Prince Yinzhen when he has other pets he likes in the future?

Duofu glanced at the sky outside and figured it was about time; the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, should have finished his lessons. He just didn't know if he could come back early today.

Duofu rolled around in the warm bed a few times, sprawling on the bed with his limbs spread out like a pancake.

With his eyes closed and head bobbing, he had to think about how to better cultivate a relationship with the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen.

We can't let their friendship boat capsize in the big waves.

Otherwise, he could accompany the Fourth Prince to school and spend all day together, which would make it easier to develop feelings for him.

That's a good idea; we can consider it.

Duofu kept nodding his head, then tilted it to the side, intending to think of something else, and several more, just in case.

How do modern people who keep dogs and cats cultivate their relationships with them?

Duofu thought for a moment but couldn't come up with anything. He hadn't even entered society yet in modern times, and no one around him kept dogs or cats. Everyone was playing on their phones; who had time to keep dogs or cats?

Those who are close to him are mostly from the same circle, and they like to stay at home and play games.

Duofu didn't have the energy to raise a cat or dog. He recalled many short videos he had watched before, which featured quite a few dogs and cats, but he couldn't seem to come up with any good solutions.

There are many modern examples of people who raise animals and then abandon them, leaving them on the street and forgetting about them.

Duofu thought about the Fourth Prince Yinzhen's usual behavior and concluded that it was unlikely he would abandon him.

No matter how you look at it, as an ancient prince, he must have possessiveness.

Duofu nodded somewhat uncertainly, thinking that the Fourth Prince Yinzhen would definitely not lose it.

How to cultivate feelings? What's the best way to cultivate feelings?

Duofu's eyes suddenly lit up. Just like couples, spending more time together, kissing, hugging, and lifting each other up high is definitely the best way to cultivate feelings.

The same applies to raising pets; the more you invest, the stronger the bond will become.

Duofu decided that starting tomorrow, he would go to the Imperial Study with the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, to study and spend more time together.

He also rubbed against the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, more often, asking for kisses and hugs from the Fourth Prince.

Duofu had made up his mind, so he lazily lay on the bed without moving, planning to wait for the Fourth Prince to come back before eating. Anyway, he wasn't hungry. After lunch, he didn't go for a walk and slept all afternoon.

My lower abdomen is still bulging.

It wasn't even completely dark when the Fourth Prince, Yinzhen, returned. It seems he didn't go to Consort Tong's place today.
