Madam Tao cleared her throat and, feigning composure, asked, "Fan'er?"
Tao Yifan looked at his mother with a gaze that seemed capable of tearing someone to pieces.

Tao Yifan stared, his gaze still sharp.
"Fan'er, if you really like Chen Siyuan, you can let her stay by your side first. Or, you can start as a concubine and then elevate her to a higher rank after she gives birth to a son."
With her around, it's impossible for her to have a son, let alone even have a child. Agreeing to become a concubine is a way to mitigate the problem.
Madam Tao now knew a compromise, but she didn't realize that without this letter, her words would have had some credibility, but with this letter, the meaning had changed.
Tao Yifan's body trembled slightly.
Chen Siyuan remained silent, a mocking smile playing on her lips.
