The old lady gave her a look, and Lin Ma immediately composed herself. "Stop being silly, come on, I want to go to sleep."
“Okay, I’ll listen to Grandmother.” Chen Siyuan was easy to talk to. She got up and hugged the old lady. “Grandmother, let me hug you.”
"Alright, stop being so lovey-dovey and let's go!"
"Alright, I'll listen to Grandmother and come see you again tomorrow," Chen Siyuan said, and quickly left with her two maids.
Lin Ma watched until the eldest young lady left, then turned to the old lady and said, "Madam, weren't you hoping for the eldest young lady's departure? Why did you send her away?"
"She's already exhausted after a long day. How can her body handle spending more time with an old woman like me?"
Lin's mother smiled. That's just how the old lady is. She's clearly very caring, but she always manages to make people misunderstand.
Chen Siyuan listlessly headed towards the warm room.
"Miss, didn't you say you wanted to ask the old lady about Aunt Zhao? Why haven't you said anything yet?"
Chen Siyuan sighed, "My grandmother is a cunning old fox. Do you think I can easily get information out of her?" She was only good at dealing with Chen Xin, but going up against the old lady would be suicide.
