Chen Siyuan didn't wake up until evening.
Not long after he woke up, Qiao Yuchen returned.
After having dinner together, Qiao Yuchen carried Chen Siyuan to the rooftop to look at the moon.
Chunlan and Chunping watched from below, very excited.
It seems that Qiao Yuchen represents their pursuit of their future partner.
Qiao Yuchen's reputation wasn't good. After his triumphant return, the two maids saw some young ladies deliberately passing by the General's Mansion several times when they went out. As maids, they could see through their intentions.
It's really laughable.
Before the battle was won, everyone avoided Qiao Yuchen like the plague, but now they can't wait to stick to him.
Fortunately, Qiao Yuchen didn't even glance at them; he had such a good relationship with the young mistress.
Chunlan was looking up with envy when a dark figure approached her. Turning to look at Wang Yong, the figure gave her a look full of disdain.
It seems that after the comparison, they were full of disappointment with Wang Yong.
Wang Yong was provoked by that look and pulled Chunlan away.
Chunping was right next to them and saw their interaction.
I always felt that their relationship was quite subtle, and it seemed that Chunlan didn't really care about Wang Yong.
They were just brought along to make up the numbers because of the conflict between Qiao Yuchen and his young mistress.
Seeing this, Chunping was speechless.
However, this is for the best.
She also didn't think highly of Chunlan and Wang Yong.
She watched as they whispered amongst themselves in the shadows, and sensing the tense atmosphere, she smiled.
That's right. As maids, it's best not to care about too many people. If one day the young mistress and the general have a problem, Chunlan will be the one who gets hurt.
Qiao Yuchen and Chen Siyuan stayed on the rooftop to admire the moon until very late.
It's been a long time since we've had such peace and quiet. So many things have happened recently, but thankfully, things have eased temporarily, and they can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Neither of them said anything, and they both enjoyed the quiet of the moment.
This silence could last for an unknown period of time, but the matter was far from over.
Chen Siyuan felt very heavy-hearted. With Qiao Yuchen by her side, she was exhausted, but at least she had a haven to rest.
At that moment, Chen Siyuan realized that she was no longer alone; when something happened, the first person she thought of was him.
This feels so good!
She could sense the direction they were working towards together. With each other's company on the road ahead, even if it was tiring and tough, they could continue on.
It was very late when Chen Siyuan fell asleep next to Qiao Yuchen. Qiao Yuchen then carried the woman and flew off the roof.
That night was quiet for the entire General's Mansion.
Behind the silence lies a heavy burden they are unwilling to face.

Qiao Yuchen had already gotten up to go to the morning court session.
When Chen Siyuan woke up and didn't see the man, she was already used to it. After washing up, she waited for a long time, but Qiao Yuchen still hadn't returned. After eating breakfast alone, she took two maids and went to visit Madam Qiao.
Mrs. Qiao was in good condition, which put Chen Siyuan at ease. Chen Siyuan expressed her apologies for what happened yesterday.
They both understood, and Mrs. Qiao didn't say anything more about it.
Later, Mrs. Qiao let Chen Siyuan eat the pastries that Zhang Ma had just bought from Su Ji Pastry Shop.
Chen Siyuan ate and laughed so hard that her eyes disappeared.
Mrs. Qiao didn't usually like sweets, but seeing how much Chen Siyuan enjoyed them, she couldn't resist eating a little more.
Before leaving, Madam Qiao asked Chen Siyuan to take some things with her.
Chen Siyuan bowed to Madam Qiao and then left.
Just as they reached the door, Madam Qiao seemed to remember something, quickly came forward, and took Chen Siyuan's hand.
Upon seeing this, Zhang Ma quickly stepped back.
Chunlan and Chunping followed suit and stepped back.
"Mother, is something the matter?" Chen Siyuan saw the complicated look in Madam Qiao's eyes and knew that she had something to say. She waited quietly by her side, probably because the matter had caused quite a stir these past few days and Madam Qiao wanted to remind her.
She knew her current identity; as the young mistress of the General's Mansion, everything she did and said was connected to the General's Mansion.
"You should know that you have an older brother, right?"
Chen Siyuan nodded.
If Qiao Zhen hadn't suddenly died, Qiao Yuchen wouldn't have returned to the General's Mansion, and he wouldn't have had anything to do with it.
"Then you should know that he was poisoned, right?" Mrs. Qiao's eyes reddened as she said this.
Zhang Ma, Chunlan, and Chunping, who were standing not far away, felt different emotions upon hearing these words.
Zhang Ma knew what was going on, and Chunlan and Chunping were even more worried about the young mistress, wondering what Madam Qiao was going to say.
“Mother, if you look like this, my elder brother will feel bad too.” Chen Siyuan took the opportunity to hug Madam Qiao.
She knew that Qiao Zhen was the source of Madam Qiao's deepest sorrow.
For a mother to see her son leave is a pain that can never be erased, no matter how much time has passed.
Madam Qiao had it even harder. Because of Qiao Zhen's departure, she had to accept another son who wasn't her own. No one wants to suffer such pain, but for the sake of the family's legacy, she had to make a compromise.
That's what women are like.
Women are more likely to understand the hardships women face.
Mrs. Qiao wiped away her tears, her voice filled with a suppressed sorrow, "I'm telling you all this so you can protect yourself."
"Mother, I will."
"That's good. Take care of yourself and don't let the people who truly care about you get hurt."
"..." Chen Siyuan choked up.
She could sense the sincerity in Mrs. Qiao's words.
