Chapter 71 Three Fingers

Aunt Zhao was stunned.

This was indeed her plan. How did Chen Siyuan find out?

"Alright, get this old woman out of here!"

Chen Siyuan didn't want to continue making a scene. There was still a child living there. She could have her fun, but she couldn't let a child who had just been traumatized face such cruelty again.

Who would have thought that the other party might not be willing to accept their good intentions?

Chunlan and Chunping dragged Aunt Zhao away. Aunt Zhao seemed to have given up struggling and was being dragged away. She shouted unwillingly, "Chen Siyuan, haven't you ever regretted it?"

Chen Siyuan didn't even glance at her before turning around to go to the inner hall to see if she had frightened the child.

Unexpectedly, Aunt Zhao went all out, no longer pretending, and broke free from Chunlan and Chunping's control, flying towards Chen Siyuan. Her fingers spread apart, like demonic claws, and stabbed towards Chen Siyuan's back.

Chunlan and Chunping were surprised that Aunt Zhao actually knew martial arts. They rushed over as soon as they discovered it, only to find an even faster figure approaching. When they saw that it was Shang Zizhen, they were stunned for a moment.

Chen Siyuan suddenly sensed something was wrong. She saw a blurry shadow dart past her and instinctively thought that the child must have heard the noise. She instinctively wanted to protect the child from harm, but she was a fraction too slow and heard a scream behind her.

When she turned around, she saw that Aunt Zhao's three fingers had been chopped off, and Shang Zizhen was still holding a dripping dagger in her hand.

Chen Siyuan always treated Shang Zizhen like a child, but she forgot his other identity.

To think that one could sit in the future crown prince's seat, one must be no ordinary person.

How could she treat the future crown prince like a child?

"Sister, are you alright?" Shang Zizhen threw down the dagger on the ground and looked at Chen Siyuan, whose face was pale.

Chen Siyuan shook her head, "It should be fine."

Chunlan and Chunping recovered.

They dragged Aunt Zhao away.

"Wait a minute." Shang Zizhen once again displayed an expression that a child shouldn't have.

Chunlan and Chunping were surprised and immediately looked at the young lady. After receiving a signal, they stood aside.

"It's all cleaned up," Shang Zizhen said, pulling Chen Siyuan into the inner room.

Soon two men in black arrived. One of them took Aunt Zhao away, while the other cleaned up the traces left behind.

In the short time it takes for an incense stick to burn, everything returned to normal.

At this moment, Shang Zizhen pulled Chen Siyuan aside to talk in the inner room.

Despite being a child, he displayed extraordinary thinking skills.

"Did you scare your sister?"

"Um."

"Don't be afraid, I can protect my sister too."

Looking into the child's innocent eyes, Chen Siyuan wanted to reach out and pat his head as she always did, but then stopped.

Shang Zizhen asked, sounding very aggrieved, "Does my sister not like me anymore?"

Chen Siyuan met his pitiful little eyes and knew he wasn't an ordinary child. She felt a little sorry for him and reached out to stroke his head. "You're still a child. Don't grow up too fast, or you'll miss out on a lot of happiness."

Shang Zizhen was stunned for a moment, seemingly not quite understanding what these words meant. When he met Chen Siyuan's smile, he rushed into her arms.

"I want to protect my sister."

"Really?" Chen Siyuan asked.

Shang Zizhen nodded. "Mm."

"Okay, let's pinky swear." Chen Siyuan said, releasing the child and extending her little finger. "Let's pinky swear."

Shang Zizhen didn't understand what was going on, but he still did as instructed.

With their hands clasped together, Chen Siyuan smiled and said, "Pinky promise, never to change for a hundred years."

Shang Zizhen didn't understand what it meant, but he still followed along.

To him, Chen Siyuan was different and special.

With Chen Siyuan by his side, he could be both a child and an adult, without much restraint, and he felt a joy and ease that he had never felt with his mother.

Without anyone constantly pushing him, he became even more willing to learn.

With this beginning, Chen Siyuan took her child hiking in the suburbs as promised.

Once on the mountain, Chen Siyuan began to use various methods to catch birds.

Chunlan and Chunping were speechless.

Their young lady actually started catching birds.

Their clumsy movements were too much for them to bear watching.

On the contrary, Shang Zizhen seemed to have shown off his skills in the warm house. He let loose and his small figure darted back and forth in the woods. Naturally, he did end up with a few small birds in his hands.

Later, Chen Siyuan simply gave up and stood there, watching Shang Zizhen work hard to catch birds.

As expected of the future crown prince, he has already mastered martial arts at such a young age.

She didn't see it with her own eyes when she was facing Aunt Zhao, but she believed that the three broken fingers of Aunt Zhao were all thanks to Shang Zizhen.

It is truly remarkable that he possesses such courage at such a young age, but it is not a good thing for him to participate in killing too early.

If he were an ordinary person, it wouldn't matter, but he is the crown prince, the future emperor. If the emperor commits such heavy killings, it may not be a good thing for the people.

Seeing Shang Zizhen bring the bird she had caught to her again, she released the bird that she had been holding.

Shang Zizhen was dumbfounded. "Sister doesn't like it?" The child, who had been trying so hard to perform just now, suddenly dimmed in the eyes, as if she had realized that she had done something wrong, and became slightly flustered at this moment.

Chen Siyuan reached out and touched his hair. "How could that be? I just feel that there are too many. I can't play that many games."

The child's face instantly brightened, and she looked at Chen Siyuan with a sweet smile, "Shall we rest for a while?"
