"Who are you?" The little dumpling felt a burning pain in its throat, and its voice became hoarse.
The fluffy little guy whimpered a few times and stuck out his tongue to lick the little dumpling's face.
The warm feeling she had just experienced was from this little guy licking her.
As the little guy licked, the little dumpling's cold body gradually warmed up, and its vision became clearer.
Only then did the little dumpling get a clear look at the little creature in front of it. It was covered in white fur, and its little tail was wagging incessantly, as if it was very happy to see the little dumpling. It spun around in place a few times, then wagged its tail and ran over to lick the little dumpling's hands.
"Little puppy!"
The little dumpling cheered with surprise and joy.
The puppy jumped up and down happily when it heard the little dumpling calling her.
"Woof woof woof." The little dog barked at the little dumpling a few times.
But the little dumpling could understand what he meant—whatever my little master calls me, that's what I am.
What should I call you? The little dumpling blinked and thought for a moment.
The little white fleshy ball looked like a small snowball in the snow.
"I'll call you Qiuqiu then." The little dumpling patted Qiuqiu's head.
Ball stuck out its tongue, spun around a few times, wagged its tail, and jumped around the little dumpling.
"Qiuqiu really likes this name."
Looking at the ball, the little dumpling seemed to have found a new friend, and her sadness slowly dissipated.
As Qiuqiu licked her little hand, the little dumpling felt that the wound didn't hurt as much anymore.
Even the red and swollen chilblains on my hands have faded a bit.
The little dumpling got up from the ground and hugged the ball in its arms.
The tiny ball of flesh was even smaller than her, and was nestled obediently in her arms.
The little dumpling stroked her soft fur, "Thank you, Ball Ball, you're such a good baby."
"Little dumpling is a good baby, but ball ball isn't!"
Qiuqiu looked quite pleased as the little dumpling petted her.
"No, Qiuqiu has to be a good girl too."
The little dumpling listened to Qiuqiu's rebellious words and spoke in a serious and methodical manner, just like a little adult.
The little ball in my arms stuck out its tongue. "Okay, whatever my little master says goes."
The little dumpling then smiled happily, patted the snow off its body, and walked forward while hugging the ball.
"Qiuqiu, let's go, let's go find Mommy and Brother together."
With Qiuqiu by her side, she was no longer alone.
The little dumpling's steps became much lighter, and the wind and snow on the mountain gradually subsided.
Rumble.
A loud bang suddenly came from the mountain, and the mountain shook a few times.
The little girl was startled and squatted down, hugging the ball. She closed her eyes tightly in fear and curled up like a frightened little rabbit.
Is Uncle Mountain angry?
"Don't be afraid, Qiuqiu, don't be afraid, Little Dumpling will protect you."
The little dumpling's heart pounded in fright, but she comforted the little white ball in her arms.
"Ah!! Help!!"
The ball in her arms didn't make a sound, but the little dumpling heard a scream coming from ahead.
Ballball stretched out its soft little paws and gently touched the little dumpling's eyes.
The little dumpling felt a burning sensation in its eyes.
"It sounded like someone was yelling for help just now," Qiuqiu said.
The little girl opened her eyes and looked out. In the vast expanse of white snow, she couldn't see what was happening in the distance.
"Help!" Another cry for help came from ahead, sounding even more painful than before.
The little dumpling hugged Qiuqiu tightly, "Someone's calling for help, Qiuqiu, shall we go check it out?"
Qiuqiu barked twice, indicating its agreement.
With Qiuqiu by her side, the little girl's fear lessened considerably.
Worried that someone might be in trouble, the little dumpling ran forward quickly.
She staggered for a while and saw a huge rock blocking her way. What terrified her even more was that there was a man trapped under the rock.
The man was lying face down on the ground, his legs and below were pinned down by a huge rock.
The little dumpling immediately noticed the red glow emanating from the man's legs; if he were to remain pressed down by the boulder any longer, his legs would become unable to walk.
"Uncle!" the little girl cried out anxiously, afraid that her uncle had fainted.
Fortunately, the man on the ground suddenly moved and struggled to lift his head.
A beautifully sculpted baby was standing in front of him, holding a small white dog in its arms.
A few tiny snowflakes landed on the baby's long eyelashes, and his large, dark, grape-like eyes looked at him with concern.
The man was traveling when he was caught in a blizzard. To make matters worse, a huge boulder rolled down from the mountain and landed on him.
There was no one in the desolate mountains and wilderness to begin with, and no one would want to go out in this weather.
The man had thought he was going to die there, but suddenly he heard someone calling him.
He thought someone in the mountains could save him, but instead he saw a tiny baby. The man's joy instantly plummeted.
He frowned in pain and said, "Little child, quickly call your parents to save me, and I will reward them handsomely."
"Adults?" The little dumpling shook its head. "I'm sorry, uncle, I'm the only child in my family."
The little one in my arms shifted unhappily.
The little dumpling then realized what was happening and added, "Oh right, there's also a puppy named Qiuqiu."
The man was taken aback, then let out a heavy sigh.
It seems to be another poor child who has lost his parents.
"Child, go down the mountain and call for help to rescue your uncle," the man said. This was the only option left; he hoped he could hold on until someone arrived.
"No way!" the little dumpling said firmly.
The man was stunned again. Did this child want to watch him die here?
"Uncle, if your leg gets pressed down any longer, it won't be able to keep going." The little dumpling put the ball down and patted its little head.
"Be a good girl, wait for me here."
"Oh, child, it's not just your legs, if you keep pressing on them any longer, I'm afraid your uncle might..."
They're all going to die!
The man paused, not finishing his sentence, for it would be too cruel to tell a child about death.
"Uncle, don't be afraid, Little Dumpling is here to save you." After putting down the ball, Little Dumpling walked towards the man.
man:? ? ?
Did he hear that right? This little baby said he wanted to save him?
This boulder is probably four times her height. How could she possibly save him?
Oh well, they're just innocent and kind kids after all.
"Listen to me, child. If you can't move this rock, go down the mountain and call an adult to help your uncle." The man finished speaking in one breath, then collapsed to the ground, exhausted.
The little dumpling saw the red light on the man's legs getting brighter and brighter, and knew he was about to die.
She saved her uncle!
The little dumpling quickly ran over and reached out its tiny hand to press down on the boulder.
The man caught a glimpse of the little girl's actions out of the corner of his eye and thought to himself: What a good child. I must repay her in my next life.
The little dumpling was biting its lower lip with its tiny, bean-sized teeth, its brows furrowed and its toes straining.
"Heave-ho!!" The little dumpling pushed the boulder with all its might, shouting as it tried to give itself more strength.
“Kid, you should go. It’s snowing on the mountain, and it’s not safe for you to stay there any longer.”
The man simply didn't believe that a tiny baby could move a boulder.
As soon as he finished speaking, with a thud, he suddenly felt a lightness in his body.
The man stared wide-eyed at the boulder rolling down the mountain.
This child is truly... blessed with superhuman strength.
The little dumpling was so tired that she collapsed on the ground, her two little arms aching.
"My little master is so great! My little master is so great!" Qiuqiu wagged its tail and hopped over to the little dumpling, rubbing against her repeatedly.
"Phew!" The little dumpling breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Uncle, your leg is alright now."
The man moved his leg; aside from a little pain, he hadn't broken any bones.
Thanks to his years of military training, his legs were covered in strong muscles. More importantly, this child with superhuman strength saved him in time.
Otherwise, he would have lost both his legs and his life.
The man sat up next to the little girl and bowed deeply to her with his hands clasped in front of him.
"Little boy, thank you for saving my life today."
If he hadn't been busy with military duties and hadn't been in a hurry to go south to find his mother and younger brother, he would have definitely given this little baby a generous reward.
"Uncle can't eat onions and garlic these days," the little dumpling said seriously, her soft, cute face making her incredibly adorable.
Now that the man was out of danger, he felt much more relaxed and asked, "Why can't I eat it?"
"Because it's bad for Uncle's legs, and also because of the small fish and shrimp in the river, Uncle shouldn't eat them anymore recently."
The man nodded, a warm feeling flowing through his heart; the more he looked at the baby, the more he liked him.
If my younger sister were still alive, she would probably be this big by now.
Looking at the adorable little baby, the man felt a pang of melancholy.
"How could you, at such a young age, know what foods are bad for your uncle's legs?" The man raised his hand and patted the little boy's head.
The little dumpling raised its head, a hint of pride on its face, "Of course I understand."
"These are all things Qiuqiu told me." The little dumpling didn't say this aloud.
She can see the wounds on other people's bodies and knows how to treat them; all of this was just given to her by Qiuqiu.
The little dumpling looked at the ball and made a face at him.
This is her and Qiuqiu's secret.
