Chapter 674: Year after Year

What awaits them may be a promising future, or it may be swords and spears.

But as long as the relatives around them are still there, they can draw countless nutrients from here, nourishing them forever! The light of the early sun spread over the ground of Jinling City, and the people of the Gu family walked towards the old house step by step, chatting and laughing, just like in the past.

Two years later, the Jin Dynasty suddenly marched south.

They intended to replicate the sneak attack and massacre of Gu's army that year, but this time, they met the descendants of Gu family who did not like to play by the rules.

Gu Siwen, who was only nineteen years old, led the army into battle, and his twelve lieutenants and five hundred thousand Tiger Guards all obeyed his orders.

Be good at planning and win every battle.

When the good news was being sent back to Sui'an City from Cezhou, Xing Zhao was having dinner with the current emperor.

"Well, well, well, the Gu family is so brave. Look at Shao Yu's child, he is really good. When he returns to the court, I will definitely reward him well!"

Returning to the capital? Xing Zhao couldn't help but think of the scene when his cousin returned victoriously.

Year after year, year after year, it's really the same old thing, nothing has changed.

At the same time, Gu Siwen, who had gone straight to Huanglong, found a noble lady who was "in trouble" in the big tent after defeating the King of Jin.

When he lifted the curtain, he was immediately attracted by the pair of lively eyes.

Stubbornness, cruelty, violence, and the hatred for revenge, all gathered together. After seeing too many beautiful women like water in the south of the Yangtze River, Gu Siwen fell in love with such "thorns on the tip of the knife".

Then, he grabbed her arm and pulled the dagger she was holding towards his chest, and said with a mixture of three parts disdain and three parts ridicule.

"You are so weak that you can't take revenge. If you have the guts, come back with me. I will give you ten years to seek revenge on me. How about that?"

The woman was puzzled, her eyes full of vigilance.

"It's easy for me to kill you. It's up to you whether you want this opportunity or not."

After saying this, he let go of her hand and turned to leave without any hesitation. When he got on his horse, he saw the noble lady inside coming out with a look of determination to die on her face, and she spoke in a loud voice.

"good!"

Upon hearing this, Gu Siwen laughed. He was a cheerful person, and everyone thought he had intercepted something extraordinary. Unexpectedly, when he appeared in front of people again, there was a girl who did not look very old on his horse.

Look at the way she’s dressed, she looks like a noble lady.

Therefore, Mu Lianying immediately stepped forward and spoke.

"Young Marshal, the Gu family army's orders must not be disobeyed!"

"Uncle Mu, rest assured that you are not allowed to insult the female relatives of the enemy. I will never forget the things that have engraved a knife in my heart. But this one is different. She came to seek revenge on me. I promised to take her back and give her ten years. I just want to see if the noble lady of the Great Jin Dynasty has the ability to do this!"

At this point, Mu Lianying was stunned, but he could not resist his young commander's reckless temperament, so he had to give up in the end. However, he kept a close eye on the noble lady in private.

"After talking for so long, this young commander still doesn't know your name?"

The woman was silent for a while. Gu Siwen thought she was unwilling to speak, so he did not force her. He then spurred his horse and ran away, leaving Mu Lianying far behind.

As the wind whistled past her ears, the noble lady said lightly.

"Xuan Man."

"Xuan Man? That doesn't sound like a name you ladies would choose."

The black mandala and the unpredictable death, aren’t these exactly like her current situation?

But she didn't know whether she would be greeted by the eternal darkness of the long night or the silence before dawn...

(The full text is finished) - Wow, another book is finished.

Every time I write the conclusion, I always have a lot to say.

Thank you all, it is my eternal theme.

It can be said that without your support, Dalizi would not have persisted in writing.

I stumbled upon the path of writing by accident. At first, I wanted to add more possibilities to my life. Later, I slowly discovered that writing stories was really what I liked, so I kept moving forward step by step until now.

Three books, 3.5 million words.

It feels like a lot to say, but compared to the great author, I still have a lot to improve on, so I will write a summary for each book, and hope that the next one will make more progress. Next, I will say some "random words" about this book.

When I first wrote this book, I had the ambition to reach 3 million words. When I had written around 600,000 words, I felt that I still had a lot of stories to tell, so I was full of confidence.

Especially the portrayal of the heroine Du Jingyi in the beginning, I revised it six times over and over again, and finally presented the character I wanted to express in my mind.

It may not be perfect, but it has substance.

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

This is true for her, and for all the other characters as well.

Including the plot twists later on, some sisters feel that the male protagonist Gu Shaoyu is not so perfect. In fact, I think this is the norm! How can there be a perfect character in this world?

It's just that because they are the male and female protagonists, all the writing will be particularly inclined and tolerant of them, but in fact, from the perspective of other people, perhaps some of their actions are also "evil"! This aspect is also the subject I have been exploring! Ideals are always good, but when it comes to every plot in the story, there will still be some deviations, so the problem is that I have overhauled the previous 300,000 words, and then because of repeated illness, the updates are not satisfactory.

In particular, the repetitiveness of some characters made me feel that the quality of the story was a bit off, so I cut out some of the plots and chose to finish it today.

Any regrets?

certainly!

But I always think that a good book should have a vivid protagonist, exquisite side dishes, and a fascinating story.

Obviously, my book is still far from this goal. I can only say thank you all for your tolerance, corrections, reminders and acceptance, which have kept me going for 8 months.

This is a very rare experience that I will always remember.

Good or bad, merits and demerits, are all over at this moment.

I am grateful for your company and thank you for all the corrections. In the future, I will continue to work hard and study hard to bring you more exciting or more substantial works.

(About the new book)

In fact, I had almost finalized the outline of the story in January, but the same thing happened: repeated revisions and the desire to add eye-catching elements led to unstable writing.

Sometimes it looks good, sometimes it's very stuck.

I don't think it's appropriate for me to present this kind of manuscript to everyone, so the original plan was to stop for a while before seamlessly connecting it, and it would be better when I have sorted out my thoughts.

It may be 10 days later, or maybe a month later, when I set off again.

After all, Dalizi is still here, fulfilling the promise of "keep writing"! I hope that when I introduce new stories to you, I can attract you again, and then we can explore a different life and happiness together~~~ Hehe, it's still the same old saying, I won't say goodbye to the world, I will say, see you "goodbye" in another world!
