Extra Chapter Six: The Endless Photo Album

There was a large safe in the study of the Sandalwood Palace, and it seemed to contain a lot of things. Yun Nuan discovered it one day when she was taking a break and wandered into the study.

It looked heavy, and the contents were protected by a password. Yun Nuan tried many passwords but none of them were correct; it was her birthday, Qin Yan's birthday.

Then she tried several dates related to their anniversary, but none of them were correct, so she simply took a picture and sent it to Qin Yan, asking him to give her the password directly.

Qin Yan, who was working overtime in his office, received the message immediately. He wasn't surprised that Yun Nuan had found the safe. He sent her the password and told her that she could go home in twenty minutes.

Yun Nuan replied with an "ok" gesture and asked him to buy some milk tea when he came back, room temperature would be fine.

She then entered the password he gave her, and the safe opened. The number he gave her wasn't related to any special date between them, which surprised her completely.

The study was also carpeted, so she simply sat down cross-legged and opened the safe. To her surprise, it contained several thick photo albums.

She understood immediately, a smile spreading across her lips, and then she took out all the photo albums and began to look through them.

She also remembered the significance of the number on the safe; it was the date Qin Yan first took her picture, a very, very long time ago.

The first photo was taken in the car, when he started testing the camera, showing her staring blankly at the lens. The more he flipped through the photos, the more he saw—countless moments from days she couldn't remember. Qin Yan recorded everything, every detail unseen by others, and he treasured them all.

Pictures of her in her graduation gown, her ID photo from her first internship after graduating from graduate school, a photo of her watching TV while hugging a pillow, photos of the two of them traveling, and so many more...

She looked through the entire photo album and found that Qin Yan had categorized it very well, even kept it in good condition.

She looked at the safe and then at the photos in her hand, finding it both funny and touching. She put the album back, figuring Qin Yan would be back soon.

She had just come downstairs when a sound came from the entrance hall. Then Qin Yan appeared, and notably, he was carrying not only the milk tea she had requested, but also a bouquet of pink and white orchids.

Qin Yan's indifferent expression vanished when he saw her, a smile appearing in his eyes, and then he spoke.

"I'm back." Before Yun Nuan could respond, he quickly stepped forward and hugged her tightly, speaking with a hint of coquetry.

I miss you so much.

Yun Nuan hugged him back, stood on tiptoe, and kissed him on the lips. "Welcome home." Qin Yan nuzzled her shoulder, then placed the things on the dining table, inserted the straw into the milk tea, and handed it to her.

"It should be at room temperature, so don't drink too much." Then she put the flowers in the vase and took out the white lisianthus that she had put in earlier.

"The orchids at the florist are in their best bloom today; I think you'll like them too."

Yun Nuan nodded and replied, "It looks good, I like it very much." After saying that, she moved the milk tea forward and brought it to Qin Yan's lips. Qin Yan lowered his head and took a sip.

Outside the Sandalwood Palace, there are many green plants and flowers, some rare varieties, others commonplace. Even so, Qin Yan would still choose the best-blooming bouquet from the flower shops he passed by each day and bring it back for Yun Nuan.

"Why would you put the photo album in the safe? I thought it would be full of glittering gold." Her cheeks puffed out as she chewed on the pearls, her eyes bright and clear.

Qin Yan, itching to pinch her cheek, replied with a smile.

"Gold has its place; it might be in your card, your account, or in one of your other packages. Safes are for valuable things, and I think photo albums are valuable; our memories are precious."

Yun Nuan covered her mouth and chuckled. Qin Yan had originally wanted to be a little sentimental, but seeing her smile, he knew that she was thinking about the greasy, domineering CEOs in TV dramas again.

He pinched her cheeks and wouldn't let go, then lowered his head and kissed her moist red lips, playfully rubbing them against her skin. His breathing was rapid, and the air was filled with the scent of flowers and milk tea.

"But my most precious thing is Qin Yan, my precious treasure." She said as she drank her milk tea after Qin Yan let her go.

Qin Yan's heart suddenly felt sweet, and his eyes were full of joy. His heart quickened, and his entire chest seemed to be filled with this sound.

He hugged Yun Nuan tightly, feeling like he couldn't love her enough. He kissed her until her limbs went weak before slowly restraining himself. Yun Nuan was already very tired last night and couldn't take another round of this today.

They both had a rare day off today, and he planned to take Yunnuan on a date. Perhaps they could see a newly released movie or watch the sunset.

In short, as long as it's the other person, it doesn't matter where you go, and it doesn't matter if you don't say anything.
