Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Ten-year-old Zhou Zhaodi was forced to transfer to Cheng Xiangheng's school because she bit the young master Cheng Xiangheng. She had no power to resist in this matter.

Zhaodi's mother was almost impatient to hand Zhaodi over to Cheng Xiangheng, as if she was getting rid of a hot potato, without realizing that even though Cheng Xiangheng was only ten years old, the two of them should not sleep in the same room.

Zhaodi's mother didn't care about the difference between men and women at all. She didn't care about Zhaodi, let alone the etiquette and morality that she should have taught Zhaodi.

The education that Cheng Xiangheng's parents received was even more terrifying. All they taught him was plunder and to be above everyone else. Propriety, righteousness, integrity and shame were all used to bind the poor. The more people abide by social rules, the poorer they are.

Therefore, Cheng Xiangheng knew that there were differences between men and women, but he didn't care, and even disdained it.

In Zhou Zhaodi's eyes, she believed that it was Cheng Xiangheng's shameless use of power that caused her mother to hand her over to him in tears.

Therefore, as soon as Cheng Xiangheng asked her to run errands for him, Zhaodi accepted bribes from Cheng Xiangheng's suitors.

When Cheng Xiangheng found a pink love letter in his schoolbag, he was stunned for a moment, but soon reacted and his sinister eyes fell on the little mouse in the corner.

The little mouse hid deep inside and pretended to be asleep.

Cheng Xiangheng rolled his eyes, sneered, and ignored her.

For several days, everyone lived in peace.

The school organizes an outing, and aristocratic primary schools often hold such activities.

No one told Zhou Zhaodi what the word "outing" meant, what she needed to prepare, and no one paid any attention to her. Zhou Zhaodi didn't know how to prepare food for herself. In her eyes, outing meant attending classes outdoors in the morning and then having to go back to the school cafeteria for lunch.

Later, when she found that she didn't go back at noon and everyone had already started to take out their good things for the picnic, Zhou Zhaodi realized that she was going to starve.

Everyone looked down on her as a poor wild girl, and Zhaodi didn't want to offend anyone. She was used to living a wild life in the countryside, and it was common for her to go hungry in the village. She had been running around in the mountains all day and had been hungry all day.

In the evening, Zhou Zhaodi returned to the gathering place and found that there was no one there.

She was tired and hungry, and very confused. She didn't understand why there was no one at the gathering place when it was clearly the gathering time the teacher had given.

There is no car either.

Zhaodi waited there for an hour and then looked for a car for another hour.

When the setting sun was swallowed by the night and the sky became completely dark, the evening breeze slowly blew up the ends of Zhaodi's hair, and she realized belatedly that she seemed to have been abandoned by everyone.

Abandoned again.

In contrast to her cold body, her tears were burning hot. Big tears fell down Zhou Zhaodi's face, and despair filled her heart again.

She shed silent tears, her eyes looking down the mountain. She could see the bright lights below, but she couldn't see the mountain road under her feet clearly.

There are many problems caused by malnutrition, night blindness is one of them.

Zhaodi sat there for a while, wiped her tears, picked up a branch from the ground, opened her eyes wide, and slowly walked down the mountain road that she could vaguely see.

Little Zhou Zhaodi has already understood that it is useless to collapse on the spot, and there is no use crying. She does not want to explore the reasons why everyone abandoned her, because that will only lead to internal friction.

The only thing I need to reflect on is that next time I go out, I must carry a small flashlight with me.

At night, the mountain wind rustled the branches in the woods, and occasionally an unknown rustling sound came from the grass. She was frightened and walked forward in silence.

No one will come to save her, just like Zhou Zhaodi in her short life, she has never been pitied or loved by anyone, so how can she be saved?

The small and thin Zhou Zhaodi walked down the mountain carrying a big schoolbag full of books. Even the moonlight was very stingy and was not willing to illuminate Zhou Zhaodi's way forward.

She walked step by step, her legs felt like they were filled with lead, and her feet were covered with blisters, which hurt a lot.

But she didn't dare stop.

The girl was exhausted after turning one bend after another, and sweat mixed with tears flowed again and again.

At this moment, Zhou Zhaodi suddenly stopped.

She blinked hard, squeezing out the tears in her eyes, and the crystal clear shadows slowly gathered together, turning into a slender young man standing under the light.

"Cheng Xiangheng!"

Zhou Zhaodi's tone was full of surprise. Meeting Cheng Xiangheng at this time made her so happy that she almost cried again.

She quickly ran to Cheng Xiangheng. After surviving a disaster after a huge despair, Zhou Zhaodi temporarily forgot Cheng Xiangheng's evil deeds. She stood in front of him, tears began to fall again: "Great! I finally see you!"

The young man raised his eyebrows, stretched out his slender fingers, and poked Zhou Zhaodi's cheek, touching her tears: "Are you so surprised to see me? I thought you were angry."

Zhou Zhaodi was confused: "Why should I be angry?"

The boy smiled maliciously: "Don't you know? I asked the school bus to leave early today just to leave you here alone."

"Why."

"Because you did something in private that I didn't like, I have no choice but to punish you."
