It’s finished!

It’s finished!

Cheng Xiangheng was so happy that he was shaking. He had been very nice to his subordinates recently and even gave several bonuses to all the employees of the company for no apparent reason. Everyone in the headquarters was saying that Cheng Xiangheng was crazy. After all, he used to be serious and had clear rewards and punishments.

But no one dared to say anything, they just hoped that he could be happier and that their good days could last a little longer.

Ping'an seemed much calmer. When school started in September, she did not live on campus and was picked up and dropped off by Cheng Xiangheng every day.

The days passed one by one, plain and happy.

Cheng Xiangheng's happiness index is increasing day by day. Recently, he has been worried about one thing, which is what he should do to make Ping An agree to marry him.

He really felt insecure and was afraid that Ping An would suddenly and quietly leave. A contract was the only proof he could get from her.

When Ping An finished class that day, Cheng Xiangheng keenly noticed that Ping An was not particularly happy because she was not sitting in the passenger seat but in the back.

Cheng Xiangheng said carefully: "An An, there is a western restaurant nearby. I heard that the food is delicious. Should we try it?"

As soon as he finished speaking, there was a knock on the car window.

Cheng Xiangheng looked over and saw that the person coming was a man about thirty years old, with a rather fawning look.

Cheng Xiangheng felt that this person looked familiar. He glanced at Ping An and found that Ping An's face looked even uglier.

After thinking for a while, Cheng Xiangheng opened the window. The man smiled ingratiatingly: "Mr. Cheng, I'm Xiaoming. Do you remember me? We played together when we were little."

Cheng Xiangheng raised his eyelids slightly, showing no emotion.

Xiaoming's smile grew even more intense. He didn't notice Ping An sitting in the back. "Today I also saw Zhou Ping An, the little pet you raised when you were little. You were the one who gave her the name!"

Cheng Xiangheng's expression changed slightly.

Xiaoming didn't notice the change in Cheng Xiangheng's expression. When he was about to say something else, Cheng Xiangheng had already closed the car window and drove away without looking back.

No conversation along the way.

When they got home, Cheng Xiangheng noticed that Ping'an's shoelaces were untied, so he squatted down to tie them for her: "I know you just gave me this name randomly because there's a Ping'an porridge shop nearby, right?"

Cheng Xiangheng paused while tying his shoelaces and raised his head cautiously: "I'm sorry."

Cheng Xiangheng was arrogant and conceited when he was young, but the words he said casually became a terrifying time bomb over the years.

Cheng Xiangheng had never apologized so sincerely before, and Ping An saw through his anxiety and fear in an instant.

All the anger vanished, and Ping An sighed: "It's okay, Ah Heng, as long as you like me now, all that is in the past."

Cheng Xiangheng was terrified. In the past, Ping An would definitely scratch him when she was angry. Later, when they separated, she was distant and polite to him. However, during this period of time, she had been spoiled and her old habits had returned.

Logically, she should have scratched him, but she said nothing.

Cheng Xiangheng's worries were not unreasonable, because Ping An did not let him into the room at night, so he slept in the guest room for a month.

A month later, Cheng Xiangheng took Ping An to a temple.

It was a very popular temple. Ping An asked Cheng Xiangheng why he came there, and he simply said that he wanted to fulfill a vow.

When they arrived, Cheng Xiangheng followed the abbot into the Buddhist hall, while Ping An sat next to the pillar at the door and teased the kittens in the temple.

The kitten ran lightly, and Ping'an had nothing to do, so he followed it.

She followed the kitten into an ancestral hall, which was filled with incense. However, there were no Buddha statues on the shrines, but plaques with names written on them.

Ping An's name and date of birth were hung in the middle, and Cheng Xiangheng's name was written in a small space in the lower right corner of the plaque.

Perhaps it was because Cheng Xiangheng donated the most money, so Ping An's name was the largest among all the plaques. He could see his name clearly without even looking up.

Ping'an's eyelashes trembled slightly. She picked up the merit book next to her and found that at this time every year, Cheng Xiangheng would come to donate money and pray for her.

Ping An's name was given by Cheng Xiangheng as a joke, but now it has become the blessing he prays to God for because he cannot get the love he wants.

Ping An let out a soft breath and chuckled.

She walked out of the ancestral hall and soon met Cheng Xiangheng who was looking for her anxiously. He looked very anxious, with a bit of frustration and uneasiness between his eyebrows.

The locator in Ping'an's teeth had been removed long ago. She didn't allow him to install any monitoring equipment on her. Now that she couldn't find him, it was normal for her to be anxious.

Ping An walked over and took Cheng Xiangheng's hand: "Where have you been? I've been looking for you for a long time but couldn't find you."

This was like the bad guy complaining first, but Cheng Xiangheng was not angry at all. Instead, he seemed to have recovered what he had lost, and tears welled up in his eyes.

"I……"

"Let's go home." Ping An interrupted Cheng Xiangheng and suggested "going home" to Cheng Xiangheng for the first time.

Cheng Xiangheng's eyes widened slightly, and he looked a little silly. He pursed his excited lips, calmed himself down, and then said, "Okay, let's go home."

In the car, Ping An felt a little tired, so he lay in Cheng Xiangheng's arms and fell into a deep sleep.

In fact, she didn't want to let Cheng Xiangheng go easily. She couldn't let go of the things he did to her, so Ping An maliciously made Cheng Xiangheng worry about gains and losses, making him unable to get what he wanted, and always living in a state of terror that she might leave at any time.

But Cheng Xiangheng's anxious and helpless look just now made Ping'an feel uncomfortable.

She really couldn't be cold-hearted towards him, so forget it, life is still long.

——

Cheng Xiangheng is a very petty person. He Li has been dealt with decisively, but Zhou Rugu is still undecided.

But he was unwilling to let it go, so he repeatedly showed his disdain in front of Ping An.

So Zhou Rugu was sent to prison by Ping An himself and sentenced to ten years.

It was drizzling on the day Zhou Rugu was sent to prison. Ping'an felt very calm. She had completely severed ties with the Zhou family and had nothing to do with them anymore.

Cheng Xiangheng held Ping'an's waist with one hand and held up a large umbrella with his other hand, which just covered the two of them completely.

Cheng Xiangheng said, "I've made your favorite soup at home. Let's go back."

He liked to mention the word "home" to Ping An, and Ping An liked it too. She smiled at him gently and said, "In this kind of weather, drinking soup with a bowl of spicy hot pot is the best thing."

The smile on Cheng Xiangheng's lips froze. Ping'an had a very bad stomach and sometimes she would vomit out the food she ate. It was only in the last two years that he took better care of her.

Cheng Xiangheng would occasionally accompany her to eat spicy hot pot, but he would not allow her to indulge herself too much, for fear that her stomach problems would relapse.

He wanted to refuse, but Cheng Xiangheng looked at Ping An's expectant eyes and couldn't say no: "Okay."

Okay? Okay.

They are still very young, and Cheng Xiangheng will slowly respect and understand Ping An's thoughts and feelings, and similarly, she will slowly understand him.

They have a long life ahead of them, and he and Ping An will be together forever, never separated.
