Chapter 11 Her Eyes Are Brighter Than the Stars (1/2)

Chapter 11 Her eyes are brighter than the stars

In early autumn, the young man was wearing only a single piece of clothing. His fresh breath and warm body temperature tightly protected Tang Susu.

The rolling pin hit the boy hard on the back.

Tang Susu heard the dull voice and exclaimed, "He Zhimo!"

The gangster raised his hand and wanted to hit someone.

Suddenly, a police car sirens sounded in the distance.

The gangsters fled in all directions.

Tang Susu quickly turned out of He Zhimo's arms. She looked up, and the young man lowered his head, his face pale and silent.

She felt so guilty. She had clearly come here to help him, but instead he let his frail body block the blow for her.

"He Zhimo, are you okay? I'm sorry, if I hadn't rushed over, maybe you wouldn't have been grabbed."

She took a step forward and reached out to check his injuries.

The young man turned his slender body to the side, avoiding her touch, and said coldly: "They are looking for trouble with me, it has nothing to do with you."

But if Tang Susu didn't go over, the boy would have his own way to deal with the gang of thugs, but she came unexpectedly, and instead caused him to get beaten a few times.

Tang Susu looked at the boy's indifferent expression, but didn't care at all.

This person, although he looks soft-hearted, is actually very soft-hearted at heart. He is obviously afraid that she will feel guilty, but he insists on speaking in this tone.

He doesn't like to talk, so she'll just stay with him for a while.

The afterglow of the setting sun sprinkled on the earth. The boy stood quietly, and the girl stood quietly beside him. A big tree nearby, and cicadas were playing music for them.

Soon, the police came.

The gangsters have left, but there are still some traces of fighting here.

"Did you call the police?" The police looked at Tang Susu.

Tang Susu nodded and briefly recounted what had happened.

The policeman nodded in praise. "Little girl, you were right to call the police, but you shouldn't have rushed over in that situation. It's too dangerous. The correct approach should have been to ask for help from the adults nearby, or wait for our rescue."

Tang Susu nodded, "I understand, police officer. I was too anxious at the time and didn't think too much about it. I just wanted to stop those people. I will pay more attention next time."

As she spoke, she felt a heavy gaze coming from her.

She tilted her head and met He Zhimo's dark eyes. She narrowed her eyes and smiled gently.

He Zhimo's eyes darkened.

The police dealt with the scene briefly and took the two people back to take a statement.

After Tang Susu and the others finished taking their statements and came out of the police station, it was already dark.

The evening breeze blew gently, and the street lights lit up one by one.

Tang Susu turned her head to look at He Zhimo beside her. The young man's face was pale, without a trace of blood. The bangs on his forehead were gently blown by the wind, giving him a sense of broken beauty.

It unconsciously arouses people's desire to protect.

Tang Susu whispered, "Does your wound hurt? Let's go to the hospital for a check-up..."

She said the hospital, and her voice suddenly lowered.

She went to the hospital to ask for money, but she had no money left.

"Yeah." The boy nodded.

Tang Susu was stunned for a moment and hadn't reacted yet.

He Zhimo clamped the wooden board between his legs and limped forward, "I didn't throw the money away."

The boy's deep voice drifted in with the wind.

Tang Susu was stunned for a moment, and the next second, her clear eyes curved into crescent shapes.

She knew that He Zhimo was not that kind of person.

It turns out that throwing away the money was a lie to her.

But why did he lie to her?

Thinking about the possible reasons, she became a little depressed again.

Does he hate her that much?

But if he really hated her, why did he block it for her just now?

He probably didn't hate her that much anymore.

Yes, he definitely doesn't hate her now.

Thinking of this, Tang Susu hurriedly followed.

"He Zhimo, let's take a look at your legs. Are they healthy?"

The young man paused and replied, "Yeah."

In the dark night, the bright street lights stretched the shadows of the two people very long.

The girl's silhouette is superimposed on the boy's.

entangled together.

People's Hospital.

At this time, the doctors in the general outpatient department have already gone off work, and there are only doctors in the emergency department.

In the emergency room, the doctor checked the wound on He Zhimo's leg and found no infection.

After giving He Zhimo a simple treatment on his wound, he asked him to make an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to take a CT scan and receive detailed treatment.

After finishing the inspection, He Zhimo stood up from his chair and prepared to leave.

Tang Susu supported him and pointed at his back with her slender white fingers, "You haven't seen the wound on your back yet?"

"It's just a minor injury, nothing serious." He Zhimo didn't care.

This little injury is a common occurrence for him.

He never cared, and no one cared.

But it will be soon. No one will be able to bully him anymore. It’s just a little bit longer.

Tang Susu suddenly began to feel sorry for the young man. He didn't want to deal with the injury on his leg, nor did he care about the injury on his back.

No one has ever loved him, so he doesn't know how to love himself.

She looked at him seriously, "It's important."

He Zhimo looked at her with gloomy eyes.
