Chapter 47 Carry Me
"He Zhimo." Tang Susu raised her head and called him softly.
She stood up, sniffed, narrowed her eyes and tried to force a smile, but she couldn't control her emotions.
She didn't want anyone to see her losing control of her emotions, so she lowered her head, covered her face with her slender white hands, and sobbed silently.
He Zhimo stood quietly opposite her. He looked down at the girl's frail body, trembling slightly. He raised his slender hand twice and put it down twice.
He closed his eyes, resisting the urge to hold her in his arms. He lightly touched the top of her head with his palm, soothing her gently.
Tang Susu didn't know how long she cried before she raised her head.
She wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes with her slender white fingers, but she couldn't wipe them away.
Suddenly, a tissue was handed over.
She was stunned for a moment, then reached out to take the tissue, "Thank you."
She wiped the tears from her face, sorted out her emotions, and then raised her head, "He Zhimo, why are you here?"
Her voice was still a little hoarse.
He Zhimo lowered his eyes. The girl's eyes were wet and swollen after being washed by tears. He was used to seeing her smiling, but this was the first time he saw her crying.
He didn't know why, but seeing her crying made his heart ache.
Today, as usual, he waited for her to come out of the western restaurant and quietly sent her back.
In the past, he would stand downstairs and leave when he saw the light in her room come on.
But today, the light in her room was not on for a long time, but the main light in the living room was on all the time.
He stood downstairs and waited slowly, but she never came back to the room.
He waited for a long time and almost rushed upstairs.
But she rushed down with her schoolbag on her back.
She raised her chin slightly, sniffed, and walked all the way.
He followed along.
Later, she burst into tears and he came out from the shadows.
He Zhimo looked up and saw a fried chicken shop not far away. "I was a little hungry and wanted to eat this fried chicken, so I came here. I saw you crying, so I came here."
Tang Susu turned her head and saw the fried chicken shop on the opposite street, its neon sign flashing.
She rubbed her eyes with her slender white fingers, sniffed, and looked at He Zhimo pitifully, "I want to eat too. Can I join you?"
The young man lowered his head, looked at her aggrieved expression, and nodded.
It was a little after eleven in the evening, and there weren't many customers.
Tang Susu found a seat by the window, ordered a fried chicken, and lay down on the table.
She tilted her head and didn't say a word.
He Zhimo sat opposite her, quietly accompanying her.
Finally, Tang Susu spoke.
She looked up, watching the cars coming and going outside through the glass window, and said softly, "I had a fight with my family and ran away."
She briefly explained the reason for the quarrel and suddenly turned her head.
She looked at him, suddenly confused, "Running out in the middle of the night, do you think I'm ignorant?"
He Zhimo shook his head, "No, you won't run out casually."
Tang Susu looked up and saw the young man opposite her. His dark eyes looked at her firmly.
She suddenly laughed, "Thank you! He Zhimo."
He believed her, he was on his side.
There was a TV hanging on the wall of the fried chicken shop, and an idol drama was playing. The heroine happened to be sitting in the fried chicken shop.
It was snowing heavily outside the window. She looked at the heavy snow and said, "Beer and fried chicken go really well together on a snowy day."
Tang Susu tilted her head and glanced at He Zhimo, "He Zhimo, I'd like to order two bottles of beer, is that okay?"
He Zhimo nodded, "Okay."
Ten minutes later.
He Zhimo stared at the girl in front of him. Her slender white fingers were holding the beer can, her cheeks were flushed, and her eyes were dull, as if she had drunk too much.
"Tang Susu." He called her name.
"Hmm?" She nodded blankly, her eyes blank.
He was now sure that she was really drunk.
He snatched the beer from her hand with his slender fingers. The beer can was a bit heavy. He shook it gently and there was still a lot of beer.
