When Su He and the others rushed to the hospital, Wei Qing had already been saved.
In the ward, Wei Qing lay on the bed, pale-faced, with her eyes closed and motionless.
On his neck, purplish-blue marks from ligatures were clearly visible.
His parents-in-law, Liu Chunxiang's parents, were by his side, silently wiping away tears while holding their two children, but they didn't dare to make too much noise for fear of disturbing him.
Seeing this, Su He and the others didn't go in to disturb them.
I asked the doctor about his injuries and heard that apart from a slightly sore throat, he was otherwise okay, and because he was brought in in time, he was not in any life-threatening danger.
They breathed a sigh of relief, and then they asked the neighbor who had saved him about the situation.
The neighbor was also terrified and still felt a lingering fear. Upon hearing the police question him, he spoke up:
“We work at the same company. He hasn’t been to work since his wife had the accident. The factory understands, but so much time has passed and he hasn’t asked for leave. The factory is quite busy lately, so they asked me to ask him when he can go back to work.”
When I knocked on the door, there was no answer. I thought no one was home, but then I heard a sound of something falling to the ground.
I thought something had happened to him, so I quickly pushed the door open and went inside. Luckily, he hadn't locked the door.
When I went in, he had just kicked over the chair he was standing on, and he was hanging from the rafters, swaying back and forth!
Oh my god, that startled me! After I came to my senses, I quickly went over to try and pick him up.
This guy wasn't happy about it, and he even kicked me. I was kicked several times, and my chest still hurts.
Fortunately, he probably lost consciousness from being strangled and ran out of strength, so he finally stopped moving. I quickly carried him down and took him to the hospital.
Su He and the others understood after hearing this, thanked him, and let him leave first.
The neighbor was probably terrified; he was staggering as he left, patting his chest.
The neighbors had just left when the police arrived. Upon seeing them, they handed over the items they were carrying.
"This was found at the Wei family's residence. Wei Qing wrote a suicide note before he committed suicide."
Su He and the others quickly picked it up and started looking at it.
The suicide note was very simple. It said that he felt guilty for not taking good care of his wife, which led to her death. He felt ashamed and had no face to live in the world, so he planned to atone for his sins with his death.
Su He frowned as she read the contents of the suicide note.
The others were the same; they clearly hadn't expected him to think that way.
Hu Xing bluntly stated, "It doesn't have to be this bad. Liu Chunxiang's death wasn't caused by him, so why is he taking all the blame upon himself? Besides, he has two young children. What will happen to them if he dies? Doesn't he care?"
Su He thought so too. To put it nicely, his behavior was affectionate; to put it bluntly, it was selfish. He was dead, but the child would probably be miserable. Without parents, how would such a young child grow up?
She used to think Wei Qing was a good person, but now that she's seen what he's done, her good impression of him is gone.
However, since they were outside someone's hospital room, they didn't say much and planned to ask the doctor when Wei Qing would wake up.
Before they could even take any action, they saw someone rushing over in a hurry.
It's Jiang Qing.
He probably heard about Wei Qing's suicide and was probably frightened. When he ran over, his face was covered in sweat, his lips were pale, and his hair wasn't as neatly styled as the last time he saw him.
He didn't even see Su He and the others before rushing into the ward.
