Su He frowned upon hearing this. Could a three-year-old child say such a thing?
Just as he was about to say something, he suddenly saw that Lin's father had already fished the shoe out and was about to throw it away.
But she noticed the logo on the shoes.
She recognized the Warrior brand as the oldest domestic shoe brand, and had even bought some for Yuanyuan before.
That's why I recognized it at a glance.
Perhaps because I had just heard about this during the day, I subconsciously shouted, "Wait, Dad, don't throw it away yet."
Upon hearing her voice, everyone looked over and discovered Su He behind them.
Because she came directly after get off work, she was still wearing her police uniform. Other strangers were startled when they saw her, thinking she was there to arrest people who were fishing, and they all instinctively wanted to run away.
Fortunately, there were quite a few people from their alley around, and they greeted her warmly when they saw her.
"Little Su is here? Is she here to see your grandfather?"
"yes."
Su He replied with a smile, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief knowing that she wasn't there to arrest anyone.
After greeting them, Su He looked at Lin's father, who was still holding the shoes. She walked over and took them. They were just ordinary Warrior canvas shoes, but they had probably been soaked in water and were quite dirty. Fortunately, the logo was still visible, and she noticed that the shoes were actually intact without any damage.
That's strange, since Warrior shoes were quite expensive back then. People usually wore them for a long time until they couldn't be worn anymore before throwing them away. Who would throw away shoes that weren't broken?
Upon closer inspection of the numbers, it became clear that this was a size 36 shoe, meaning it was a women's shoe.
Su He immediately became suspicious; this was too much of a coincidence!
Lin's mother and the others noticed that she kept looking at the shoes and asked, "What's wrong, Xiaohe? Is there something wrong with these shoes?"
Su He snapped out of her reverie and shook her head. "It's nothing. I just thought of something. I'll take these shoes back and bring them to work tomorrow."
Lin's mother immediately understood, guessing that it must be related to her case. She didn't ask any further questions, but simply asked, "Why did you come here?"
Su He then remembered Grandma Su's instructions, "Grandma asked me to come and call you home for dinner. It's already prepared."
Lin's mother said embarrassedly, "Oh dear, I came here to call them for dinner, but I forgot after I arrived. Auntie must be getting impatient. Alright, let's go back quickly."
Yuanyuan and the other two children were still somewhat reluctant to leave, but Old Man Su and Father Lin had already started tidying up the poles.
So I had no choice but to go back with them.
The others, seeing that it was getting late, also went home.
Su He looked around and saw that apart from the old man surnamed Xu, no one else had gotten any fish. The old man Xu was currently surrounded by a lot of people who wanted to buy fish from him, but he refused them all.
That's true. It's fine to catch fish to eat yourself, but it's definitely allowed to sell them. Even if you sell them, it has to be done privately.
So these people could only leave disappointed...
On the way back, Su He learned why they had been fishing all afternoon.
It turns out that Grandpa Xu, a fishing expert from the neighborhood, went there today. His skills are top-notch, making everyone else envious.
Grandpa Xu didn't hold back and immediately started teaching them how to fish.
They've been able to fish for so long because they learned the techniques.
But in the end, I didn't catch anything.
