There were four beds in the ward where Sun's mother was staying, and all of them were occupied at the moment. Everyone was a little nervous when two police officers suddenly entered.
Sun Dahai led them directly to the bed on the far right.
He said to his mother, who was lying in bed, "Mom, my colleague has come to see you."
Upon seeing this, Li Yi and Su He stepped forward and said, "Hello, Auntie, we are Sun Dahai's colleagues and came to visit you on behalf of the institute."
He then gave them what he had brought.
The mother on the bed looked rather thin. She shouldn't be very old, but she had a lot of gray hair, which showed that she had worked very hard.
However, after hearing Sun Dahai's introduction, she immediately smiled and said, "Oh, it's really too kind of you to make this trip. It's my own health that's letting you down, and you've gone to so much trouble."

Sun's mother seemed very happy, smiling and inviting them to sit down, and then asked the woman next to her to get cups and pour them water.
Su He then noticed the woman holding the child beside the hospital bed. She looked young, with dark skin, and seemed a little reserved when she saw them, but she seemed quite down-to-earth. She must be Sun Dahai's wife.
The child in her arms was staring at them with wide, curious eyes.
Su He found it amusing and smiled at him, but to her surprise, the little guy smiled back at her.
Sun Dahai, who was standing nearby, also saw this scene. He reached out and took the child, shaking him skillfully a couple of times, and said, "This little brat can't talk yet. He rarely cries, and he doesn't even call out often. He doesn't have much of an expression either. I thought he was stupid before. I didn't expect him to smile like Comrade Xiao Su."
Hearing him say this, Sun's mother immediately glared at him, "Don't talk nonsense! How could Tiger be a fool? How can you talk about your own son like that!"
Li Yi and the other man couldn't help but laugh when they heard this.
Su He looked at the little guy and said, "They say that children who speak late are smart, so Tiger will probably be successful in the future!"
"Yes, yes!" Sun's mother smiled happily when she heard her say that.
As they were talking, Sun Dahai's wife poured the water and brought it over. Su He took it and thanked her. Sun Dahai's wife waved her hand shyly, then took the child and sat down to the side, trying not to disturb their conversation.
Afterwards, Su He and the others inquired about Sun's mother's current life and were relieved to learn that she was doing well. Then, Sun's mother enthusiastically told them about various embarrassing things that happened to Sun Dahai when he was a child. It was very interesting to listen to, and Su He couldn't stop laughing.
The others in the ward breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this, never expecting that the seemingly simple-minded big guy was actually a police officer, and that his colleagues had come to visit him.
Seeing that Su He and the others had finished their conversation and were about to leave, an older woman sitting one bed away from Sun's mother said to the person in the corner bed, "Qiu Yun, the police are here. Do you want to talk to them about your matter?"
Upon hearing this, Su He instinctively looked over.
The person in the corner bed was lying on her side with her back to them. The other beds had people accompanying them, but she was alone.
Upon hearing this, the man slowly sat up and turned around.
Su He was startled when she saw this!
The person's face was covered in injuries!
He immediately frowned and walked over, "What happened? How did you get this injury? Were you beaten up?"
After hearing her question, Qiu Yun seemed to react for a moment before slowly saying, "It's nothing, it's not."
"How did you get this?" Su He frowned deeply. The injury was clearly from being beaten, and she didn't know why Su He wouldn't say.
Qiu Yun seemed somewhat dazed. She shook her head, as if she didn't want to say anything more, and slowly turned around and lay down.
Seeing this, Su He was about to ask more questions, but Li Yi stopped her and shook his head at her.
Su He sighed and had no choice but to give up.
