Chapter 367 Su Chun's Married Life

After the new house was built, the couple moved in after getting married. Because it was close to the village chief's house, the village chief's wife was worried that her daughter wouldn't eat well, so she would often ask the young couple to come home for meals.

After Su Chun became pregnant, the village chief's wife became even more anxious, fearing that she wouldn't be able to take good care of herself. So now, except for going back home at night, the two of them eat at the village chief's house for all the other days, including all three meals a day.

In this way, Zhou Lixin was no different from a son-in-law who had moved into his wife's family home.

Everyone said that Zhou Zhiqing had married well. His wife's family helped support him, and they would probably treat their children the same way. It saved him a lot of trouble. Moreover, with the village chief as his father-in-law, Zhou Lixin was practically the one in charge among the educated youth.

However, although that's what everyone says, only they themselves probably know what they're really thinking.

Anyway, judging from what the Su family said, they really looked down on him.

Su He was surprised to hear this; she hadn't expected the village chief's family to treat Su Chun so well.

However, Su Miao secretly told her that the village chief's family didn't really want to help them. Building them a house was already a good thing, and they would let the young couple live on their own after that.

However, Su Chun was used to a good life, while Zhou Lixin didn't have much money. After getting married, the two of them lived a tight life, which was certainly not as good as Su Chun's family.

Moreover, Zhou Zhiqing was unwilling to let the village chief ignore them, since the reason he married Su Chun, a country girl, was that he wanted a better life.

So he urged Su Chun to go back and complain.

Su Chun obeyed his every word. When she went back and cried, the village chief's wife couldn't stand it and started making a scene with the village chief.

The village chief couldn't refuse his wife and daughter, especially since he had spoiled his daughter, so he could only nod and agree.

That's why Su Chun, the married daughter, still brings her son-in-law home for dinner every day.

Su He was surprised to hear this, "Who told you this? How do you know so much about it?"

Su Miao pouted, "It's all because of Su Dong. She's furious! She said her sister has been bewitched by Zhou Zhiqing and believes everything she says. Even the new hair accessory her brother bought for her was taken by her sister to curry favor with her brother-in-law's sister. She doesn't think much of that brother-in-law!"

Su He was speechless, but since it was none of their business, she told Su Miao not to get involved and then took the child back to the house.

After washing up, Su He coaxed Yuan Yuan to sleep, and then saw Lin Jingyan grinning as he got onto the kang (a heated brick bed).

Seeing this, I couldn't help but laugh, "Does it really hurt that much?"

"It hurts, especially my arms and back, they ache!"

Seeing Lin Jingyan like this, she felt a little sorry for him, but also a bit schadenfreude.

“I told you not to do it, but you insisted on doing it. If it were any other time, it would be fine, but this is the most tiring time. You've never done this before, how can you stand it? It will probably hurt even more when you wake up tomorrow.”

After saying that, she felt sorry for him and finally sighed and said, "When we get back, I'll buy some medicine and rub it on you, otherwise you'll be in pain for days."

Lin Jingyan wasn't angry when he heard this. Instead, he smiled and said, "I want to try it because I've never done it before. I just want to know what kind of life you lived before."

Su He rolled her eyes at him. "How can I be the same as you? I grew up here and I'm strong, so I don't really feel tired. But because of school, I haven't done much farm work. My other brothers and sisters do much more than me."

Upon hearing this, Lin Jingyan sighed, "Life in the countryside is really tough, so hard!"

Su He laughed, "Each has its own advantages. Although life in the countryside is hard, as long as you are willing to work, you won't have to worry about food and clothing, and you can even grow your own vegetables. In the city, you have to buy everything, and things have been chaotic lately. You live in constant fear, and sometimes life is not as easy as it is in the countryside."

Lin Jingyan thought about it and agreed, so he stopped worrying about it. He was exhausted from the day and got sleepy after talking for a while, so he lay down and fell asleep quickly.
