Chapter Sixty-Nine: I won't hit her, I'll hit you instead!
When Xu Wang received the call from the security guard just before Pei Yanchuan was about to get off work, he almost didn't realize it.
Who? Mu Tingting? Pei Yan? Pei Feng? What are those three doing here?
Even through his earphones, Xu Wang could still hear the noisy sounds from the other end of the phone.
“Call Xu Wang and see if he'll let us in.” Pei Yan’s voice was sharp and piercing.

Xu Wang was so angry on the other end of the phone that he laughed. He hung up the phone and walked out of the villa. He wanted to see what these three were up to.
As soon as Xu Wang reached the gatekeeper's location, the noise grew even louder, and Mu Tingting even sat down on the ground.
Xu Wang watched the shrew making a scene in the street and sneered inwardly. Others might not know what to do, but did he? When you encounter this kind of scoundrel, you have to be even more scoundrel than them.

Xu Wang tossed the bamboo pole aside and lightly patted the dust off his hands.
Just as Xu Wang was about to go back, he suddenly heard the sound of a car stopping behind him.
Xu Wang turned her head slightly and bumped directly into Pei Yanchuan's arms.
"Xiao Wang, are you alright?" Pei Yanchuan carefully checked Xu Wang in front of him and only breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that he was not injured.
"I'm fine." Xu Wang patted Pei Yanchuan's back reassuringly.
"It's good that they're alright. Where are they?" Pei Yanchuan's sharp eyes swept around the surroundings.
"The gatekeeper didn't let them in, and they left on their own when they realized they wouldn't get anything out of them," Xu Wang replied with a wink and a smile.
Upon hearing the landlady's reply, Assistant Yang, who was standing next to the two, couldn't help but give the security guards not far away a look that said, "You guys have a good eye."
The security guards looked at each other, completely bewildered.
"That's good. I will make them pay for this." Pei Yanchuan held the person in his arms tightly.
Unseen by Xu Wang, a dark storm raged in Pei Yanchuan's eyes.
Pei Yanchuan gave his assistant Yang a look, and Yang immediately left.
Pei Yanchuan and Xu Wang returned home hand in hand.
The next day, Pei Yanchuan was worried about leaving Xu Wang alone at home, so he came up with an idea.
Xu Wang was picked up by Pei Yanchuan, blanket and all, and put into the car.
Xu Wang opened his eyes groggily when he was picked up, but after seeing that it was Pei Yanchuan, he fell back asleep with peace of mind.
When Assistant Yang, who had been waiting at the company for a long time, saw his boss carrying his sleeping wife to work, countless question marks flashed through his mind.
Despite feeling lost, Assistant Yang remained calm and composed, serving his boss and his wife methodically, as a competent assistant.
Pei Yanchuan gently placed Xu Wang on the bed in the lounge.
This is where Pei Yanchuan rests at noon, and there is a faint scent of lychee wine in the room.
Xu Wang quickly relaxed his brows under the soothing fragrance and continued to sleep.
Pei Yanchuan tidied Xu Wang's hair and left the lounge only after confirming that the other party was not uncomfortable.
At his desk, Assistant Yang gently placed the files he had just collected on the surface.
"Mr. Pei, this is what you had yesterday..."
Pei Yanchuan gestured for him to speak quietly.
Assistant Yang lowered his voice knowingly: "President Pei, this is the task plan you gave the order to implement yesterday."

As soon as Assistant Yang came out, a female employee curiously peeked out from her workstation and gave him a coded signal.
"Shh!" Assistant Yang was startled and quickly made a gesture.
The female employee responded with an OK sign.
Assistant Yang returned to his workstation.
The company's rooftop was unusually quiet today.
