Chapter 26 Crazy Fangirl No. 2 (Part 1)

After a bowl of hangover soup, Tang Chen regained consciousness, and his headache wasn't as severe as before. But the question was, what did this burning sensation in his stomach mean? Could it be food poisoning? And yet, this prelude to pain seemed a little familiar.

After Wang Yanzhou forced Tang Chen to drink the hangover soup, he had originally planned to pack her up and carry her back to his room. But when he returned to his room after sending the bowl downstairs, he saw Tang Chen, pale and sweating, rolling around on the bed, clutching her stomach. Her eyes were filled with self-blame, "...What's wrong with you?"

Tang Chen clutched his stomach and gritted his teeth as he replied, "My head hurts, my stomach hurts, my throat hurts, my legs are weak, and my whole body feels uncomfortable."

Wang Yanzhou was not good at medicine, and seeing that Tang Chen did not seem to be pretending, he turned around and hurried to find a doctor.

...When the doctor arrived, Tang Chen's symptoms seemed to have eased a little. After the diagnosis, the doctor didn't say much. He just gave Tang Chen a meaningful look. Tang Chen seemed to understand what he meant immediately. He lowered his head and his face flushed.

Wang Yanzhou couldn't understand what the two were communicating through their eyes, so he could only ask bluntly, "Doctor, what's wrong with her?"

The doctor smiled and said as he packed up his things, "It's nothing serious. Drinking too much has harmed your body. I'll prescribe two doses of medicine. Just take them and you'll be fine. Remember to avoid overexertion these days, get enough rest, and drink plenty of hot water."

"oh."

"Doctor, this way please."

After the doctor left, Wang Yanzhou carefully looked at the herbs on the prescription. To be honest, if he had known it was this disease, he would never have called the doctor. It was such a loss!

Tang Chen lay on the bed, feeling as if she were on the sea. The surging waves made her feel like she was dying. She couldn't help but sigh, not knowing whether her luck was good or bad. She was glad that she didn't get her period when that girl forced her to drink, but she was also worried about a very serious problem: she could clearly feel that her pants were not enough. How could she quietly throw away those blood-stained pants without being discovered by Wang Yanzhou?

When Wang Yanzhou came into the room carrying the things, Tang Chen, who was lying on the bed with his legs crossed and thinking about life, immediately covered his stomach and pretended: "Ah, Boss, am I going to die? I feel so weak that I don't even have the strength to speak."

Wang Yanzhou put his things on the bedside, sat on the edge of the bed, took out the black paper fan from his waist and smiled kindly: "...If you really want to die, I can give you a ride for free."

Tang Chen thought to himself that something was wrong, and quickly climbed up, sitting on the bed with a well-behaved face: "No, no, really no. I was just kidding, just kidding."

Wang Yanzhou stood up with disdain and walked to the window, urging: "Rest enough, then get out of here and go to your room."

Tang Chen felt a little reluctant and patted Wang Yanzhou's soft pillow, soft quilt, and soft mattress. Would it be bad for a grown man's spine to sleep on such soft mattresses? Also, why were their rooms connected but the configurations so different? One was a standard room, the other a presidential suite. "Oh, I can't bear to leave this soft bed."

Wang Yanzhou didn't comment on Tang Chen's constant sighs, but this was precisely what frightened Tang Chen the most. Tang Chen was afraid that he might accidentally throw him away, so he quickly got out of bed and prepared to flee the scene.

"I'm leaving, bye!"

Before Tang Chen could even reach the door, Wang Yanzhou called him, "Wait a minute." Hearing this, Tang Chen hurried over to Wang Yanzhou and bowed, "Boss, if you have any other instructions, I will definitely take care of it!"

Wang Yanzhou glanced at the basket on the bedside and said, "...Take this. The waiter will deliver the medicine to your room later."

Tang Chen looked at the bamboo basket filled with something on the bedside table, his eyes lit up: "Wow, is this a gift from you? What is it?"

Wang Yanzhou looked out the window and said with disdain: "...Didn't you say you didn't have the energy to talk anymore? Why are you still talking so much nonsense?"

"Okay, okay, thank you first, boss!"

As soon as Tang Chen returned to her room, she couldn't wait to open the bamboo basket. To be honest, the bamboo basket looked mysterious and she didn't know if it contained any goodies. Was it food, or the hairpin she had wanted before?

"Let me see what this stingy guy brought me..." After removing the layers of cloth covering the basket, Tang Chen was shocked. She finally understood why Wang Yanzhou had looked so strange when he brought this thing, like a thief.

Oh my god, this is most likely the legendary ancient sanitary napkin! Wait, how do you use this strange-looking piece of cloth?

...Tang Chen stayed in his room for a few days, and only after he felt better did Wang Yanzhou go out to do his own things. After Tang Chen followed him to the street, the two of them went their separate ways.

Tang Chen felt a little bored while shopping alone, so after eating a bowl of wonton, he bought a bag of melon seeds and started to enjoy life leisurely in the pavilion on the side of the road.

Tang Chen cracked melon seeds, shook her legs, hummed a little tune, and watched the passers-by. This was the time-traveling life she had imagined, this was the right way to start! Ah, look at the blue sky, the beautiful water, the fresh air...

Before she could finish her sigh, a discordant smell seemed to be approaching her.

A ragged child dressed as a beggar was walking along the road when he approached the pavilion where Tang Chen was. The beggar looked at Tang Chen pitifully and held out his broken bowl to her: "My beautiful sister, please have mercy on me. I haven't eaten for several days."

Tang Chen's eyes twitched slightly. This kid, what a rascal! This was the first time she had seen this little beggar, dressed in rags but with very clean hair. Look at this chubby little face, look at these clean little paws, you can tell at a glance that this kid is from a family out for fun.

"Oh, you little beggar, you're quite sweet-mouthed. Come, come, I'll give you two ounces of melon seeds."

The child looked down at the melon seeds in the bowl and turned the bowl away in disdain: "...It's only two taels of melon seeds, keep them for yourself."

Tang Chen was stunned at first, then he spat out the melon seed shells in his mouth: "Hey, I have a bad temper, and I dare to look down on your sister Tang. Come on, come on, look."

Tang Chen put down the melon seeds, took out a gold leaf from her purse and waved it in front of the child. The child saw that it was a big deal and his attitude immediately changed: "Wow, thank you, big sister!"

Tang Chen had just placed the gold leaf in the child's bowl, and before the child could react, he quickly took it back and put it back into his purse, his movements smooth and flowing: "This is not for you, go play with it."
