Chapter 111: Fate Will Reunite (Part 3)

After Tang Chen and his companions secretly returned to Qinghe County with Wang Fengjiao, they took advantage of the dark and windy night and quietly pried open the door lock of the house where Ouyang Ming lived without alerting the people in Qinglong Village.

After entering the room, Wang Fengjiao moved the table and scraped the floor to pick up the tile underneath. After preparing the candles, the group crept into the secret passage, carrying their previously prepared items, led by Wang Fengjiao.

There were several places for lampstands on the walls of the secret passage. After Wang Fengjiao made sure that there was still lamp oil in those broken lampstands, she carefully lit them.

Inside the secret passage, the occasional drops of water seeping out from the earthen walls made the entire environment a little damp. After Wang Fengjiao checked the dry food and medicines that had been placed in the ceramic jar, she shook her head in disappointment.

No one said anything, but calmly opened the prepared strong vinegar and poured it all over the secret passage. After anxiously waiting, bloodstains slowly appeared on the wet ground.

After studying the bloodstains, Chen Xin said that judging from the amount, the injured person was probably seriously injured and bleeding profusely. If he did not receive timely medical treatment, he would probably die in a short time.

Shen Xin's explanation made Qing He's already depressed heart collapse in despair: "Bloodstains...Tang Chen, tell me honestly, is he missing or not?"

After Tang Chen glanced at Chen Xin, he patted his head helplessly. Things had come to this point and it was impossible to hide it anymore: "Um, sorry..."

Without waiting for Tang Chen to explain, Wang Yanzhou spoke first: "Brother was ordered to be killed by a mysterious person, and the person who received the order was Achen's missing friend. That friend probably disappeared to help brother."

The candlelight in the secret passage wasn't particularly bright. Although Tang Chen was nearsighted and couldn't clearly see Qinghe's expression, her body was already shaking uncontrollably. She had finally understood what kind of person Qinghe was not long ago. Her instinct to survive told her that if something really happened to Ouyang Ming, she would be in trouble. "Old Wang, please!"

Wang Yanzhou smiled and asked, "Which Old Wang are you calling?"

“…This one next door.”

"oh."

The atmosphere eased slightly due to Wang Yanzhou's smile. Led by Wang Fengjiao, the group headed towards the exit, observing the bloodstains revealed by the strong vinegar along the way. Summer nights are short and days are long. By the time they emerged from the secret room, the east was already gradually brightening.

Tang Chen looked at the surrounding environment, and the worry he had just felt was instantly dispelled by a thought in his mind: "Hey!"

"What's wrong?"

Tang Chen explained: "I've been to this place before. Turn the corner and go in, and you'll find Black Crow's house. His house is quite secluded, maybe he's hiding someone there!"

As soon as these words were spoken, Qinghe, who had been silent until then, suddenly had a glimmer of hope in his eyes. Tang Chen was now the guide. To avoid suspicion, Chen Xin casually placed the jar of strong vinegar on a pile of debris in the alley before catching up with the others.

When they were not far from the alley and courtyard, Tang Chen hid behind Wang Yanzhou in the shape of a cat, as if he was afraid of something.

Seeing her sudden action, Liang Shuyi asked curiously, "Why are you hiding? Do you have an enemy living here?"

Tang Chen quickly signaled Liang Shuyi to lower her voice: "Shh, every time I came here before, Mr. Li from the Black Crow family swept me from the alley to the alley entrance with a broom. How could I not hide!"

Liang Shuyi glanced at Wang Yanzhou beside him and asked with some ill intention: "Is he so powerful? But why does he always sweep you aside? Could it be that you..."

Tang Chen saw Liang Shuyi's evil smile and knew that what she said was definitely not good. Before she could finish her words, he decided to explain himself: "Pfft, pfft, pfft, he just has a bad memory. I don't come here every day, so he treated me as a stranger and drove me away."

As Tang Chen expected, they just arrived at the door and happened to run into Mr. Li, who was cleaning with a big broom. As soon as Mr. Li opened the door and saw the large group of people at the door, he immediately went into battle mode, raising the broom as if to chase them away: "Who are you? What are you doing in my house?"

Tang Chen, who was hiding behind the crowd, quickly jumped out to explain, "Wait a minute, old man, do you still remember me? I'm the one, meow!"

After Mr. Li looked at Tang Chen and recalled for a while, he turned back to look at his house. After a moment, he remembered: "...Oh, I remember this, Fat Cat!"

"That's right, it's me, it's me!"

Tang Chen breathed a sigh of relief. She was terrified. She'd thought he'd forgotten the orange cat's painting, and she was about to be kicked out again! Could it be that she, a living, breathing beauty, was less memorable than Black Crow's fat cat painting? Actually, Uncle Li seemed to have a pretty good memory for Black Crow and the things he valued.

Although Mr. Li put down his raised broom, he still looked at these people he had never seen before with some caution: "Why are you here? My young master is not at home."

"Him, that's all. Well, do you have any guests at home? We would like to meet them." Tang Chen originally wanted to tell Uncle Li about Hei Ya's disappearance, but seeing that he was already used to Hei Ya's absence, he felt a little reluctant. He swallowed the words back when they came to his lips.

After Uncle Li looked at Tang Chen mysteriously, he picked up the broom and went into the house. Seeing this, Tang Chen quickly signaled everyone to follow him.

The Black Crow mansion, nestled in a winding alley, wasn't exactly small; at least it had several guest rooms. Tang Chen and the others followed Old Man Li and soon arrived at the guest room door.

The person inside the house heard the noise outside and raised his voice to ask, "Uncle Li, is Black Crow back?"

Mr. Li didn't say anything. He stood at the door in a daze for a while. Then he looked at the broom in his hand and suddenly remembered that he hadn't swept the floor yet, so he left in a hurry.

As for Qinghe, after hearing the voices in the house, he pushed open the door without saying a word: "......!"

Ouyang Ming sat on the bed, propped up by a few high pillows. He thought it was Uncle Li who had come in. He was about to say something, but was startled by another face that suddenly appeared before him: "Uncle Li, I...!"

Qinghe clenched his fists tightly, not even noticing his nails digging into his flesh. He simply walked towards the bed with heavy steps, gnashing his teeth and muttering, "Ou, Yang, Ming!"
