Chapter 188 Hidden Deeply

The mountains and forests are deep and misty, and golden sunlight shines through the gaps between the leaves. It is so quiet and picturesque that even the wind seems reluctant to disturb this tranquility.

And in this pristine and tranquil world, the slowly approaching figure seemed to light up the entire painting.

He is tall, about 1.9 meters tall, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. His facial features are deep and three-dimensional, revealing a natural nobility.

That face was impossible to ignore. Its features were distinctly handsome, yet its eyebrows and eyes held a youthful brightness. The proportions of its facial features were so precise that they seemed almost unreal, like a perfect work that had been carved countless times by the most discerning craftsman.

His skin was white, clear, and so delicate that it seemed as if he didn't even have pores.

The sunlight shone on him, as if his entire body was dyed with a layer of gentle golden light, especially his natural chestnut short hair, which shone with a soft but not dazzling luster in the interweaving of light and shadow, appearing particularly soft and fluffy. Even when the breeze blew by, people couldn't help but raise their hands to touch a strand of it.

He was wearing a pure white custom-made suit. The texture was unknown, but it was as smooth as flowing clouds. The simple and neat tailoring perfectly outlined his tall and slender figure.

The hem of the suit jacket sways gently with every step, exuding an air of elegance and otherworldliness.

Especially the pure white, which complements the green forest, fresh breeze and warm sunshine between heaven and earth, making him look like an elf prince who has strayed into the mortal world, holy yet inviolable.

His facial features were elegant and stunningly beautiful from every angle, but his inky black eyes added a sense of contradiction that made him seem unapproachable.

Su Yao looked at him at first sight...her cold purple eyes stared at him for a long time.

What she saw was a bright and good-looking face with a gentle smile on the corners of his mouth. He seemed to be a person who was very good at getting along with others.

However, those eyes…the dark eyes that seemed to be able to see through people’s hearts…made her heart sink slightly for a moment.

The smile was indeed there, one could even say it was filled with kindness, but deep within those eyes, there was a coldness and indifference without any warmth. It was a kind of indifference that came from nature, like a god standing high in the sky, watching the rise and fall of all beings without being moved.

It is not a disguise, nor a defense, but a kind of "alienation from the world" that is deep in the bones.

Su Yao didn't speak for a moment, but just looked at him quietly, trying to find a trace of real emotion from this handsome man who seemed to be smiling.

But, no.

He walked closer, each step he took was steady and calm. Even when he raised his hand, his gesture was polite and natural. Even when his tone was clear and lucid, it was filled with appropriate friendliness.

"Hello, cousin, I'm Nan Xingchen."

He stood in the sun, his chestnut hair adorned with golden light, his features as clear as a statue of a god, his suit neat and dust-free, his temperament so elegant that he didn't seem like a mortal.

"Nice to meet you, please take care of me."

He stretched out a hand, with distinct joints and neatly trimmed nails. The blood vessels on the back of his hand were faintly visible, as if it were soaked in the brilliance of glass.

Su Yao did not refuse, nor did she respond immediately. Her purple eyes looked quietly at the outstretched hand, as if trying to judge the authenticity of this man.

But Nan Xingchen didn't push her, nor did he show any impatience. He still had that proper smile on his lips, as if he had anticipated her reaction.

The sunlight cast a soft halo behind him, and the mountain and forest background seemed tailor-made for him. He stood there like a painting and also like the unapproachable god in the painting.

He is so dazzling, so bright, yet so lonely.

Su Yao finally moved her fingers and shook hands with him lightly: "Su Yao."

The moment her fingertips touched his palm, she felt a subtle touch... cold, clean, harmless... but without any body temperature.

At that moment, a word suddenly emerged in Su Yao's mind:

"It's hidden very deeply."

She retracted her gaze and said in a light voice, "I hope you will give me more advice in the future."

Liu Yuting, Wen Wushang and Xin Jifeng beside him all had different expressions.

But it was obvious that they all revealed a deep and hidden hostility.

Wu Yan was a little dazed for a moment...

This was the first time her heart beat faster because of a man.

The next second, Su Wanwan immediately took the initiative to hug Su Yao, as if intentionally trying to separate her from Nan Xingchen, and said excitedly: "Cousin! You finally returned safely! We have been waiting for you for ten days..."

But she knew that Su Yao was not used to being close to others, even family members and relatives, so she quickly let go of Su Yao to avoid being pushed away and making the situation awkward.

"Wanwan, is this your friend?" Zi Mou said calmly.

The beautiful woman's face was obviously a little shy. She lowered her eyes and said, "Didn't Master Xin tell you?"

"Don't call me Master. I won't accept you as my disciple." Xin Jifeng immediately distanced himself from the matter. He thought Ye Yuanyuan was too stupid and would never accept her as his disciple again.

Su Wanwan looked up at him, feeling aggrieved. "Aren't you following Yuanyuan's lead? If I call you Big Brother Xin and Yuanyuan calls you Master, wouldn't our generations be messed up?"

"You can call me grandpa, but don't call me master."

After saying that, Xin Jifeng strode towards the RV, as if he didn't want to see Nan Xingchen.

"Cousin! Look at him... We've been together for ten days straight, and he's still so distant! He's never been in a good mood towards me and Yuanyuan..."

Su Yao was a little surprised. Su Wanwan's temperament had changed now.

In the past, this cousin has always been indifferent to things that do not concern her. Even if she came with me to gain experience this time, she would not suddenly become weak and act like a spoiled child... Could it be because she is "in love"?

"Please forgive me, cousin. Wanwan is so eager to get along with everyone that she's a little too impatient."
