Chapter 145

It was fun, very fun. Lu Jiaxue simply couldn't bear to see her having such an easy life. If Luo Shenyuan really did something, wouldn't her happy marriage be instantly shattered in his eyes?

Luo Yining smiled slowly: "Didn't godfather say he would send me back?"

Lu Jiaxue stood up, waved his hand and said, "Take some of your grapes back to your cousin."

Cheng Lang looked at Lu Jiaxue's back. He had a strange idea when he thought about what he said and did to Luo Yining. If one day, Lu Jiaxue knew who Yining was, the scene would definitely be very exciting, like a landslide.

*

Yining returned home a little late that night, and Lin Hairu sent someone to ask about him.

Lu Jiaxue didn't have the leisure to walk her back; he'd left after his interest was over. Cheng Lang personally walked her to the Luo family's door; he was Yining's cousin, so it wasn't a problem.

"He brought you here today, but did he find out something?" Cheng Lang asked her.

Yi Ning said coldly: "He is a lunatic."

Of course, she couldn't accept the grapes she was given. These grapes had a special flavor, and only Cheng Lang could find them in the entire capital. Luo Shenyuan knew where she had been today. So he didn't mention it. He just said, "I didn't know you had such a big restaurant."

"It's just okay." Cheng Lang smiled and was silent for a moment.

Yi Ning thought about seeing Xie Yun today and asked again, "Have you and Xie Yun's marriage been finalized?"

"Well, it's set for the fifteenth of next month." Cheng Lang seemed unwilling to say more. He just looked at her with a clear and stubborn look in his eyes.

Yining wanted to ask about the child that Lianfu had, but she hesitated and didn't ask. When she was about to go down, Cheng Lang suddenly grabbed her hand.

Yi Ning turned around and asked him, "A Lang?"

"Is he good to you..." Cheng Lang closed his eyes, only seeing his jade-like profile in the dim light. He asked in a low voice, "If he's not good to you, come to me. I can still marry you. As long as you don't mind."

Yining felt a pang of pain in her heart.

Why should he be so humble? He is also a child of destiny.

,

"You..." Thinking of his future, Yi Ning didn't know what to say. She cared about him, but it was really just her concern for the next generation. "He's my third brother, so naturally he treats me well. Ah Lang, you don't have to say that. You really don't have to."

His deep affection only added to Yi Ning's pressure and guilt. In fact, she shouldn't feel guilty, but she was very soft-hearted towards this child.

"After you marry Xie Yun, you should treat her well." Although Yi Ning didn't like Xie Yun, she was still very happy to see that he and his wife lived in harmony.

Cheng Lang was silent for a long time, then he turned his head away: "I understand, you can go back."

She was now leaning against the chaise longue, feeling really exhausted.

Yining's study had been decorated just two days before, with a display case filled with antiques and a pot of orchids on a tall table by the window. She waited for Luo Shenyuan for a while, but when he still hadn't returned, she washed up and went to bed.

It was late at night when Luo Shenyuan returned, candles lit in the room. She was curled up in bed, sound asleep. He leaned over to examine her features, the red mole at the end of her eyebrow. He placed his hand on the side of her face, and her breath, tingling with the warmth of water, filled his palm.

Yi Ning smelled alcohol. The hand against her face felt rough, and she woke up subconsciously: "Third brother, you're back..."

"Well, go back to sleep, it's okay." Luo Shenyuan realized that he had woken her up and lowered the curtain.

Yining's consciousness gradually became unclear again.

The next day he had a day off and didn't have to go to the yamen. When Yining came back from paying her respects in the main room, she saw him reading a book under the veranda.

The autumn wind picked up, and the house was decked out in blankets and quilted cushions, a warm feeling. Outside, the ground was covered in fallen leaves, and the little girl in charge of sweeping couldn't keep up. The sun shone on the fallen leaves and the eaves, turning them golden. He had a plate of washed grapes beside him, but he hadn't started eating yet.

"Has Brother Nan been obedient today?" Luo Shenyuan looked up and asked her when he saw her coming back after paying her respects.

He turned a page in the book in his hand.

"After eating two pieces of hawthorn cake, Yixiu took me to the big room to play." Yining sat down next to him.

When she saw the grapes, she somehow thought of the famous actress named Lianxi.

She reached out and plucked a grape from the plate. She stared at the grape for a moment, stunned. This was too childish, like a sulking child. But Yi Ning still peeled the grape and brought it to his lips. Then she smiled, "Third brother, eat some grapes."

Luo Shenyuan looked up at her and wondered what this little girl was playing today.

The milky white fingers are slender, and the freshly picked grapes are crystal clear and look very sweet.

He leaned over slightly and took the grape from her fingers. Then he continued reading: "Hmm, quite sweet. Keep peeling it."

Yi Ning didn't want to peel it anymore, she just wanted to give it a try. This was indeed a bit childish, if he knew he would definitely laugh at her, she shouldn't have done this.

But I have to admit that seeing his third brother eating the grapes he fed him, Yining felt an unusual sense of satisfaction.

There is one more thing she hasn’t tried yet…Yining looked at the freshly peeled grapes in her hand and realized that she really couldn’t make this.

Yi Ning ate the peeled grapes herself. Luo Shenyuan looked up at her again and asked, "Where are the grapes you peeled for me?"

He looked at me as if to say, "Why did you eat it yourself?"

Yining looked at his face. His thick and long eyebrows were reflected in the autumn sun, and his lips had beautiful lines under his straight nose.

She suddenly leaned forward, hugged his neck, met his gaze, and touched the corner of his mouth. At that moment, her heart was pounding like a drum. She could smell the heat of his breath, and under her hand was the warm lapels of his clothes. His lips had the sweet scent of grapes.
