The noise they made attracted everyone from the Wu family. When the village chief's wife, Liu, saw Chen Chen, she asked in confusion, "Aren't you the boy from Shenjia Village? Why are you grabbing the iron pillar?"
Chen Chen did not answer Liu's question, but only asked, "Is Village Chief Wu at home? Let him come out and talk."
Mrs. Liu was a little dissatisfied with Chen Zhen's arrogant attitude, but she couldn't do anything about Chen Zhen, so she could only ask her grandson to go into the house and call for help.
Village chief Wu had already heard the noise outside, and without waiting for his grandson to call him, he walked out on his own.

After hearing this, Chen Zhen wasn't sure if he was truly unaware or just pretending to be, so he pointed at Wu Tiezhu and said, "This little bastard, along with a few others, threw lumps of earth at Mr. He's door, calling him a traitor and a snob. Did you know about this?"
When Village Chief Wu heard this, he looked at Wu Tiezhu standing beside him with a dark face and asked angrily, "Is what he said true?"
When Wu Tiezhu heard the question from Village Chief Wu, he refused to admit it and said, "I didn't do it. He hit me first, so I threw it against the door. You can see the marks on my face from the beating."
After saying that, he pointed at his face. He had just been knocked to the ground, and his face was covered with dirt. He had just cried, so his face looked particularly dirty.
Upon hearing this, Chen Zhen shouted angrily, "Stop lying here! Do you want me to take you to see how much mud is on that door? I'm telling you, I recognize several of your accomplices. We can ask them later to see if they're as liars as you."
