"Merlin... do you want to help these stupid bugs?"
Stacy watched as Carl, Yuna, Merlin, Alex, Shirley, and Delia came into her sight and became obstacles in her revenge plan.
A complex emotion welled up in Stacy's heart - anger, pain, and helplessness over past desires and losses. She always thought that Boss Merlin was on her side, and she believed that if it was Boss Merlin, he should be able to understand her.
“Merlin!!!”
Merlin looked at Kairos who was pinned to the ground by the shadow. Kairos was lying on the ground, his voice weak but anxious: "Merlin, don't be fooled by her disguise! The one in front of you is not Stacy at all, but the Moon Whisperer in disguise. She is using Stacy's dark personality to try to make us believe that she is Stacy, but the real Stacy would never do anything to hurt others. My sister, I know her better than anyone else!"
Merlin's heart tightened as he realized the seriousness of the matter. His eyes were once again fixed on that distorted face. Stacy's figure swayed in the darkness, as if it would be swallowed up at any time.
"Defeat it, break it! Don't let my sister continue to sink, Merlin!!!"
Kairos lay on the cold ground, suppressed by the shadow and unable to move. He looked at Stacy who was "corrupted" by the Moon Whisperer, and felt mixed emotions.
Since childhood, his "bullying" of Stacy was not out of malice, but a complex and twisted desire to protect her. In this way, he hoped to convey an illusion to his other brothers and sisters - that only he had the right to bully this half-elf sister, and no one else could do so. In his heart, Stacy was his unique responsibility, and at that time Stacy had not yet shown her outstanding talent as a fairy master.
During the days in the Forest of Elves, Kairos had been silently watching Stacy's growth. Although he often faced her with a vicious face and even acted cold and ruthless in front of her, deep in his heart, he was always worried about this fragile yet strong soul.
"Why me?" Kairos often asked himself in the dead of night, his heart filled with resentment towards fate. If it weren't for Stacy, he might have been able to enjoy a carefree life in the Elf Forest and become a respected royal child without having to bear such a complicated emotional burden.
As time goes by, Stacy's talents gradually emerge and her performance becomes more and more outstanding, which makes Kairos' heart become more and more morbid. He began to feel jealous of her success, perhaps fearing that Stacey's power would surpass his own in the future. He secretly hated himself for protecting her and for confining himself to this role.
Whenever he heard about her achievements in the Arcane Academy, Kairos felt a pang in his heart.
"I should take her back." A thought flashed through Kairos's mind during his days at the Arcane Academy. He wanted to take Stacy away from this place full of competition and pressure, and return to the Elf Forest where everyone respected and loved him.
But he knew how selfish this idea was. He was unwilling to admit that he was actually afraid of losing control over Stacy and afraid that she would be hurt in this academy, because that was what the elves did in the family. His protectiveness and jealousy intertwined into an invisible web that bound him tightly.
Stacy's strength has surpassed his long ago, but Kairos doesn't want to admit it. However, he knows it in his heart, otherwise he wouldn't use [bloodline] to belittle Stacy. Maybe this is the only thing he can use to compare with Stacy now.
Kairos has gone insane, he has long been rotten under various pressures, he began to enjoy the pleasure of bullying Stacy, he thinks it is a very fulfilling thing, he seems to be proving that he is better than Stacy.
Merlin didn't know what happened between Kairos and Stacy, and even Stacy, one of the parties involved, didn't know that her brother Kairos was such a person.
None of this has anything to do with Merlin right now. Right now, he only wants to beat up this Moon Whisperer and get him off Stacy's body.
The Moon Whisperer seemed to know that the boy in front of her would not hold back because of her [Mimicry Disguise], but she still had to use Stacy's image and voice to help this "poor little thing" make those who bullied her pay the price.
The corrupted Nature Guardian and Windtalker appeared in front of Stacy.
The guardian of nature, which was originally full of harmonious natural atmosphere, was now filled with tyrannical aura. Its huge body was polluted by darkness, and the pair of antlers that were originally engraved with runes had become dull and its eyes were pitch black, as if it had fallen into the abyss.
The Windtalker's emerald green body turned into that of a black crow, its feathers were permeated with gloomy colors, and its originally elegant posture had now become twisted and ferocious. There was a gleam of anxiety and violence in its eyes, as if it was suppressing some kind of rage.
The screams of the Windtalkers were no longer clear songs, but roars that tore through the air, as if announcing its betrayal to all of nature.
Carl drew his sword. As the successor of the Sword Saint, he was not frightened by the explosive aura of the two corrupted high-level fairies. He glanced at Yuna and Merlin and asked, "What should we do next?"
Yuna seemed to be getting very excited. She untied the bandage wrapped around her arm and took out the cloak and alchemical equipment she wore when fighting against Stacy from her space ring. She shook her wrist, and frost and fire rose up under her feet. "I didn't expect that I could get my revenge so soon."
"Take care of the Nature Guardians and Windtalkers, and leave Stacy to me!"
After Yuna finished speaking, she rushed out quickly, and Merlin followed closely in Yuna's footsteps. The Moon Whisperer seemed to be very interested in Yuna, perhaps because he liked this kind of tenacious soul. After all, Yuna had been defeated by it once, so logically she should have some traces of fear.
As for Merlin, as the "boss" that Stacy cares about very much, the Moon Whisperer wants to torture this guy, just because it wants to taste Stacy's fear.
The Nature Guardian and the Windtalker went around Stacy and Merlin who were rushing towards them from the middle, and blocked the way for Carl, Alex, Shirley and Delia.
Alex took out a shield from somewhere, and rushed forward against the iron hoof of the Nature Guardian. Feeling the huge force of the Nature Guardian coming at him, his steps were as steady as a rock. The shield in front of him shone brightly, resisting the mountain-like pressure. With a loud bang, the iron hoof hit the shield, and Alex's body retreated slightly, but he was not afraid, and a fearless fighting spirit ignited in his heart.
