Scarlett raised her staff high, dark clouds rolled above her head, lightning flashed in the clouds, as if foreshadowing the coming destruction, and the hairs of everyone on the ground stood up due to static electricity.
Merlin's heart was beating wildly. He realized that if Scarlett really released the thunderbolt, the consequences would be disastrous and the goblins would suffer unbearable damage.
"Scarlett! Stop! It's all a misunderstanding!" Merlin shouted loudly, his voice sounding weak and desperate in the chaos of the battlefield.
He ran quickly towards the center of the lightning, praying in his heart that he could stop the disaster in time.
Scarlett saw Merlin running to the center of the battlefield and heard Merlin's voice. Her expression suddenly changed, "Merlin, leave now!"
Scarlett had an anxious look on her face and a gleam of uneasiness in her eyes. She tried to control the magic that was about to be released, but the magic was already done and there was nothing she could do.
Merlin cursed inwardly, then quickly pulled out a mini shield from his arms and threw it into the air.
With a loud bang, the Thunderbolt Technique was released, and lightning fell from the sky like a roaring beast!
The mini shield thrown by Merlin flashed a light blue glow, and the dark blue magic barrier enveloped Merlin like an inverted bowl.
The shield was under tremendous pressure in an instant, making a sharp cracking sound, and then shattered under the impact of lightning.
Merlin felt a huge force coming at him, and was blown away by the powerful impact. The goblin behind him quickly grabbed Merlin and protected him behind him.
The lightning gradually dissipated, the dark clouds dispersed, and the sun shone on the earth again. Merlin gasped, trembling all over, pointed at Scarlett in the air, and shouted angrily, "These are all included in your wages!"
Scarlett heard Merlin's words in the air and felt dizzy for a moment, as if the whole world was collapsing under her feet.
She had originally wanted to rescue Merlin, and was thinking about writing off the money she owed Merlin, but the current situation made her realize that not only had she failed to solve the problem, but she had made things even more complicated.
"I... I didn't mean it!" Scarlett stammered as she fell from the air to Merlin's side and said weakly.
"It was Delia who told me that you were captured by the goblins, so I came to rescue you. You can't blame me for this!"
Merlin ignored Scarlett. If he didn't blame her, who else could he blame? Wouldn't that be a huge loss for me? The alchemical shield I just threw out is worth more than 5,000 gold coins.
"Everyone stop!" Merlin shouted loudly in the center of the battlefield. The students of the Arcane Academy finally heard Merlin's voice. They looked at each other, undecided, but none of them took the next step. Instead, they looked at the goblins vigilantly.
Merlin looked towards Goblint, who also realized the seriousness of the situation and nodded, ready to give a signal.
"All goblins, stop attacking!" Goblin waved his priest staff vigorously, trying to make his compatriots obey his orders.
The Windtalkers' magic was still raging in the air, and Stacy was giving orders angrily on the moose, but after hearing Merlin's voice, she paused slightly, and the anger on her face was gradually replaced by confusion.
"Merlin, are you okay?" Stacy finally stopped attacking, a hint of confusion in her eyes.
"Yes, I'm fine, but if you continue to attack me I'll be in trouble!"
Merlin looked at the people who "rescued" him with some resentment. He had just wasted a lot of potions, and all these gold coins had to be counted on these classmates.
Merlin took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down, and turned to the Goblint and the other goblins, finding that their faces were filled with fear and uneasiness.
"I'm sorry, Goblin, this is all a misunderstanding!" Merlin explained to him, silently praying that he could undo the damage caused by this chaos.
Goblin nodded. Although he still had doubts in his heart, he knew that things had already happened and the most important thing was how to deal with the situation next.
"We need to sit down and have a good talk." Merlin finally calmed down and turned to Scarlett and other classmates. "We can't let the misunderstanding continue."
"What is going on?" Carl put away his sword and came to Merlin to ask.
"This is all a misunderstanding."
Merlin patiently explained what had happened, especially the intention of the cooperation between him and the Goblin. As he narrated, the expressions of Carl, Scarlett, Stacy and others gradually changed from confusion to shock, and finally to disbelief.
"You mean, the leader of this group of goblins can really master the power of holy light?" Carl frowned, his eyes wandering over the goblins, obviously finding it hard to accept this fact.
"Yes, Goblin is an example." Merlin pointed to the Goblin beside him, who nodded slightly, looking a little nervous, but still remained calm. He raised the priest's staff in his hand, and the air around him was instantly shrouded in a layer of warm light. The breath of holy light spread, as if proving his strength to everyone.
Scarlett and Stacy looked at each other, with a hint of surprise and uneasiness in their eyes. Even though Goblint's behavior made them begin to believe what Merlin said, they still remained vigilant.
"This...this is really incredible." Stacy whispered beside Merlin.
"We should be more careful." Carl finally spoke, with a hint of caution in his tone, "Although Merlin said they have no ill intentions, we can't completely trust them."
The goblins also remained alert. Goblin frowned slightly, with a hint of uneasiness in his eyes. He knew that in this situation, it would take time for trust between both parties to build.
"I understand your concerns." The Goblin said in a low voice, "We are not enemies. We hope to coexist peacefully with humans. Past misunderstandings and conflicts should not continue."
Merlin nodded, secretly sighing in his heart, it seems that it is not easy to break down the barriers between them. He turned to his classmates, trying to get them to let down their guard.
"We can start with small things to get to know each other," Merlin suggested. "We can have some simple exchanges and cooperation together to see each other's abilities and intentions."
"Is it safe to do this?" Carl still had doubts and stared at the goblins vigilantly.
"I'm here, no problem, trust me." Merlin's mouth curled up slightly. It happened that many of his classmates who were taking the Arcane Academy exams had gathered in the Goblin Tribe, so his plan could be implemented. The so-called communication and cooperation was actually a good opportunity for him to make a lot of money!
