Dunlop stood at the front of the team. He was thin and his face was as pale as a dead body. There was a faint blue light flickering in his deep eye sockets, like stars twinkling in the dark night.
His school uniform was decorated with runes carved from bones, exuding a mysterious and eerie aura. In his hand he held a staff made from the spine of an unknown monster. The top of the staff was inlaid with a black crystal, which emitted a faint chill from time to time, as if he could sense the whispers of the undead.
At this moment, he was concentrating on casting the magic of necromancy. The shadows around him twisted slowly under his guidance, as if responding to his call. As time passed, his face became paler and the cold sweat oozing from his forehead revealed his inner tension and fatigue.
"The ghost told me that there are a lot of strange monsters around. My suggestion is to go around the road ahead and go to the left." Dunlop pointed to the road ahead and said.
"Take a detour? We've been circling for so long, how long will it take to return to the Goblin Tribe?" A student in the team couldn't help but complain.
One of the women was so tired that she collapsed on the ground. "We have been walking for too long. My companion needs treatment. He is so seriously injured. Without potions and the priest's treatment, he will die!"
"Do you want to fight those monsters? We don't have much chance of winning." Dunlop said lightly, his tone full of indifference.
"Damn it, damn it, damn it! What on earth is going on? Why did the whole forest change all of a sudden!" A student screamed in fear, almost on the verge of collapse.
"Shut up, your voice will attract those monsters!" Another classmate hurriedly whispered to stop him, his face full of tension and anxiety.
"It's too late, the monsters have heard the sound and are approaching!" Dunlop responded calmly, his eyes as sharp as a knife, scanning the surroundings in an instant.
As soon as he finished speaking, the angry classmate seemed to lose his mind and slapped the student who yelled hard, and said angrily, "Do you want to kill us!!!"
"Get ready for battle, they are coming!" Dunlop raised the bone staff in his hand, pointed it at the dark forest in front of him, and said in a low voice.
At this moment, from the shadows around them, deformed mercenaries and monsters surged out like a tide. Their twisted figures flickered in the dim light, emitting a creepy aura. Their screams were deafening, as if announcing the arrival of death.
"Hurry! Follow me!" Dunlop roared, leading the students to prepare for battle hastily. However, in the panic, the formation was instantly broken up, and the students' hearts were filled with fear and anxiety.
At the front, several goblins rushed forward without hesitation, showing unexpected bravery. They were short in stature, but fast and agile, wielding sharp daggers in their hands, and rushed towards the deformed creatures.
A goblin leaped up with all his might, flew up into the air, and pounced directly at a huge deformed beast, piercing its eyes with the tip of his knife. Blood splattered everywhere, and his roar pierced the night sky.
"Die!" another goblin roared, wielding the axe in his hand and bravely standing in front of an injured student. The blade scratched through the deformed body, making a horrifying tearing sound.
Its companions came like a tide, forming a solid line of defense, bravely resisting the oncoming monster.
"Dunlop, help them!" a student shouted in the chaos. The deformed creatures in front of them were like a hurricane, filling their hearts with despair.
Dunlop's heart tightened. He quickly pointed his staff at a deformed creature that was in the front and whispered the spell "Bone Cage!"
Suddenly, the crystal on the top of the staff flashed a black light, and instantly summoned a cage made of bones, trapping the first few deformed creatures. The bone cage grew sharp bone spurs, and quickly locked with a teeth-grinding creaking sound, squeezing the deformed creatures inside into meat paste.
However, as more aberrations poured in, the battle became more intense. The goblins fought desperately in the front, blood mixed with mud, and the air was filled with a strong smell of blood. Every clash of blades was accompanied by a terrible roar, and chaos and fear continued to spread in this strange forest.
"Quick, assemble!" Dunlop commanded loudly, trying to stay calm. He saw many classmates running around in panic. In this situation, running away randomly would only lead to death faster. He couldn't help but curse inwardly, what a bunch of damn idiots.
At this moment, another mutant suddenly attacked from the side, opened its mouth to reveal sharp teeth, and pounced directly at a goblin. Before it could react, it was torn apart fiercely, and blood splattered.
"Brother!" A goblin couldn't help crying out in pain. He had already lost too many companions, and now he couldn't even protect his own brother.
The goblin looked at his brother's fallen figure, his eyes filled with tears.
The revolving lantern of memories reappeared, and in an instant, he recalled the happy times with his brother, living together, growing up together, and listening to the teachings of light from the Goblin leader together.
Hand in hand, they rushed to the altar together, waiting for the Goblin to kill them both with his sacred dagger.
What a beautiful picture! Unfortunately, there is no future! My brother left me!
The goblin roared in grief as his brother struggled to say his last words before dying.
"Brother... protect... protect them... don't... don't let... the leader down..."
In the chaotic forest, with demons dancing everywhere, the goblin hugged his brother's body tightly with tears in his eyes. "Brother, I won't let you down. I will definitely protect them! I will never let anything happen to them!"
"Ah! My arm!" A student screamed in pain. In front of the goblin, his arm was bitten off by the deformed monster.
"Zhao!" The goblin was furious when he saw the scene in front of him. I just swore a vow.
"Brother, look at your brother in heaven! I will inherit your will, and in the next life, we two brothers will fight side by side again! I hope I will be the first to die next time!" Goblint raised the dagger and was about to rush forward when he heard Dunlop say beside him.
"Your brother will be able to fight alongside you right now, without waiting for the next life."
"???" The goblin was confused, and then he saw his brother's body stand up at the call of Dunlop's necromancy.
"Look, I turned your brother into an undead zombie, and now you can fight side by side again!" Dunlop patted the goblin's shoulder and smiled gracefully.
"You don't have to thank me, this is what I should do."
