Chapter 168 Arthur Takes Action

"Are they followers of the ancient gods? What are they doing again?" Merlin's heart tightened, realizing the seriousness of the matter, and he asked hurriedly.

"Where are the other students?"

"They left in the direction of the entrance to the Monster Mountain Range. I was the last one to stop them, but somehow I ended up killing them in their lair." Arthur's face was solemn. "These guys have a strange domain power that can suppress the operation of magic."

"We already knew this. We encountered one of the believers of the ancient gods. The forbidden magic field he cast caused us a lot of trouble." Carl held the sword. Although he was also affected by the forbidden magic field now, he no longer felt the powerlessness he had at the beginning.

"Where are the people who attacked you?" Merlin asked, and at the same time he was impressed by Arthur's ferocity. Only one person could reach the enemy's lair by staying behind.

"I hacked him to death. Before he died, he used all his strength to knock me out. But I thought the other guys should have caught up with us after such a long time." Arthur said lightly.

Just as Arthur finished speaking, a strange, distorted voice came from the depths of the forest, echoing in the air like an invisible whisper, making people feel creepy.

The black figure swayed like a monster. As the sound got closer, the surrounding trees seemed to be twisting, as if eroded by an indescribable force, becoming distorted and blurred.

The students instantly felt a heavy pressure that made it hard for them to breathe. The forest before their eyes gradually became strange and distorted, like a dream swallowed by darkness.

The existence of the forbidden magic area prevents students from casting magic normally. Students without the blessing of magic are extremely vulnerable. The stagnation of magic causes their bodies to feel uncomfortable. They begin to feel anxious, worried, and their eyes become red.

"Carl, Chris, take the students back to the Goblin tribe and wait for rescue!" Merlin ordered, his eyes scanning the approaching black shadow. "No matter what happens, don't look back! We'll cover you from behind."

"But..." A trace of uneasiness appeared on Chris's face and hesitation flashed in her eyes. She looked at the dark shadow gradually approaching in the darkness with a worried look on her face.

"No buts, listen to me!" Merlin's voice was like thunder, interrupting her concerns. "We must ensure the safety of our classmates. Your powers cannot be used here. Go!"

Carl nodded. Although he was filled with uneasiness, he understood that Merlin's decision was for everyone's survival. He immediately turned around, took Chris and the students, and ran towards the goblin tribe under the cover of the goblin army.

Just as they left, gray-black fog began to spread rapidly behind Merlin, Stacy and Arthur, and several black shadows emerged from the fog with blurred outlines, as if invisible monsters were spying in the dark.

"It's coming." Arthur held the sword, his face full of determination. His voice was low and firm, as if he was giving Merlin and Stacy a final warning.

The figure in the darkness gradually became clear, revealing a distorted and deformed face, with a strange light flashing in the eyes, which was chilling.

Seven followers of the ancient god slowly walked out of the black fog, their bodies twisted, as if they had crawled out of a nightmare. Their bodies were covered with tumors, and sticky fluid oozed from the surface. Their tentacle-like appendages squirmed in the air, as if countless worms were crawling on their surface.

Several of the believers had various incoordinated human organs growing on their faces, their eyeballs moving in places where they shouldn't be, and low, indistinct whispers coming out of their mouths, which was creepy.

With their appearance, black fog completely enveloped the entire forest. The air was filled with a foul smell that was disgusting. The originally green trees and grass began to dry up and turn black, turning into the color of death, as if they were swallowed up by the power of decay at this moment.

"Kill you!" One of the deformed ancient god believers pointed at Arthur, his voice like torn cloth, carrying endless hatred. "You have the aura that the Lord hates the most!"

"You killed three of our companions. If the Lord hadn't survived, you would have died long ago!" roared another ancient god believer. The voice echoed in the empty forest, as if declaring their anger.

However, after listening to the words of these monsters, Arthur sneered twice, clenched the sword in his hand, stared at this group of guys who were neither human nor ghost with eyes as sharp as knives, and a mocking smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"If you have the ability to kill me, I suggest you do it as soon as possible, otherwise you will be the ones to die."

Merlin was astonished. He didn't expect Arthur to be so strong. It turned out that he had killed three believers of the ancient gods. Just now, had Arthur been fighting with these seven guys?

The believers of the ancient god roared angrily, with ferocious expressions on their twisted faces.

"Arrogant boy! We will tear you apart and make you pay for your arrogance!"

Arthur looked at the group of deformed beings coldly, with a fearless light flashing in his eyes. "Do you mean to say that you are ready to die?"

The believers' roars were like thunder, and the entire forest seemed to be shaking. The black fog grew thicker, and a sense of oppression filled the air.

At this moment, the deformed ancient god believer, whose largest body was nearly four meters tall, rushed over quickly. Its body was like a moving mountain, and its bulging muscles were covered with countless twisted, roaring human faces, as if they were constantly wailing in despair.

Stacy immediately ordered the Guardian of Nature to dodge. Merlin behind her looked nervously at Arthur who was standing still, his heart full of doubts.

He didn't know what kind of strength Arthur had to be so fearless. He didn't see Arthur fight in the last final exam, but only heard some things from Fate.

In the forbidden magic area, how can Arthur, who has no magic power, fight against these monsters?

Just when Merlin was full of doubts, Arthur slowly raised the sword in his hand. The sword flashed a faint light in the darkness, as bright as starlight.

"Crossing the fog of time and space, crossing the river of mythology. Beast God, please listen! Your strength, your bravery. In my name, I praise your twelve merits, with the bravery of a lion, the strength of a bear, the speed of a deer, the strength of an ox, and the fury of a dragon." Arthur's voice was loud and firm, echoing throughout the forest.

"Forged in fire, tempered in frost, honed in storms, rooted in the earth."

"With your glory, with your legend, with your bravery, with your wisdom, grant me fearless power."

The emblem of God appeared on Arthur's body. As he finished chanting, his body underwent a huge change at this moment.

His muscles began to swell and strength surged through his body like a flood. His height seemed to be increasing, becoming taller and more powerful.

As the power of the Beast God's blessing surged into his body, every movement of Arthur was filled with unparalleled strength. Facing the oncoming deformer, Arthur did not flinch, standing firmly in place, his feet as firm as if rooted in the earth.

At that moment, the mutant charged like a mad beast, raising countless dust and leaves and rushing towards him.

"Come on!" Arthur's voice was as deep as thunder, full of strong confidence. Just when the aberration was about to hit him, his fist suddenly struck out with unparalleled force, hitting the side of the aberration hard.

"Boom!" There was a loud noise, as if the heaven and earth were shaking. The deformed creature was knocked flying by Arthur's punch and hit the tree heavily, making a creepy cracking sound. The trunk broke and the scattered branches fell like raindrops.

"The power bestowed upon you by the Lord you believe in is so weak and pitiful." Arthur said coldly, his eyes revealing fearlessness and determination. Facing the remaining believers of the ancient gods, he was not afraid at all.

With the advent of the Beast God's blessing, his strength and speed reached a whole new level.

"Keep going! Let me see your futile struggle!"
