Chapter 500: Some Chinese Shock

Chapter 500: Some Chinese Shock

The young elf looked at the scene before him that was like a frenzy, swallowed hard, and his legs felt a little weak.

He glanced at High Priest Merlin who was walking towards him, stammered a few times, and said weakly: "Or I should..."

He had already started to back out and wanted a refund.

It was really because the momentum displayed by Merlin and his group of elves was too astonishing. The overwhelming enthusiasm made even him, a man who grew up in the forest of elves and was well-informed, feel fear in his heart.

It was the first time for him to see elves gathered together in large numbers and believe in one person so fanatically. This scene seemed to be oppressed by an invisible force that made him breathless.

Merlin frowned slightly when he heard his hesitant words and said "hmm" in confusion.

But with just such a slight sound, the group of elves behind him, who were already in high spirits, seemed to have triggered some kind of sensitive switch. Their eyes instantly widened as if emitting green light, and they all cast their gazes towards the young elf in front of them, as if they were examining a traitor who was about to betray the tribe.

The young elf suddenly felt an invisible pressure coming towards him, like a mountain pressing down on his head, and cold sweat broke out from his forehead.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, the word "refund" that was about to come out of his mouth was forcibly held back.

The corners of his mouth twitched slightly, and he forced out a smile that was uglier than crying. He quickly changed the subject and said, "Actually, I want to say, ahem, a little more service."

Merlin was completely unaware of the bitterness in his heart. Upon hearing this, his eyes suddenly lit up, his face was full of smiles, and he tightly held the elf's hand, shook it vigorously a few times, and said excitedly: "This is a good relationship! I like this kind of straightforward people who add services and money at the last minute."

The young elf looked at Merlin's overjoyed expression and felt like crying but had no tears. He felt extremely regretful. He thought that he should have just taken the gift and left, and there wouldn't have been so many problems.

Merlin didn't care about his complicated feelings. At this moment, he was completely immersed in the money-making business that was about to begin.

He took a few steps back, stood on a high place, clapped his hands suddenly, and shouted at the group of elves behind him who were eager to try: "Now, your first order is here! Everyone, do you have the confidence to do this job beautifully and shock the entire Elf Forest!"

"Have faith!" The elves' response was like rolling thunder, echoing across the lake. Their voices were filled with loyalty to Merlin and an eager desire to prove themselves.

"Very good, then let's begin!" Merlin waved his hand, as if he was a general commanding thousands of troops giving the order to charge.

In an instant, the elves moved quickly and orderly like well-trained soldiers.

Before the young elf could figure out what was going on, he felt his body lighten and was suddenly lifted up by several strong elves. He widened his eyes in fear, waving his hands and feet in the air in panic, and shouted, "Hey, what are you doing? Put me down!"

But the elves paid no attention to his protests and carried him straight towards the makeshift tent.

As soon as he entered the tent, several elf girls quickly surrounded him with tape measures in hand and began to measure the size of his clothes skillfully.

As they measured, they kept muttering: "The shoulders should be a little looser to show the gentleman's elegance; the cuffs should be tightened to make it look neat..."

After taking measurements, the elf youth was taken to the makeup location.

I saw an elf girl carrying a large makeup box, gently placing it on the table, and opening the box. In an instant, all kinds of colorful and exquisitely shaped cosmetics were dazzling.

Before he could react, the elf girl picked up the brush, dipped it in a suitable amount of foundation, and gently and patiently applied it on his face. While applying, she said softly, "Don't worry, sir. We will dress you up handsomely and make your sweetheart fall in love with you at first sight."

Outside the tent, the rest of the elves were also busy doing their respective jobs.

The elves who were decorating the scene were holding various tools. Some were building exquisite flower stands to display beautiful flowers; some were laying soft carpets to create a romantic and warm atmosphere.

The elves from the props group shuttled around every corner, carrying boxes of carefully prepared props, including gorgeous folding fans, exquisite swords, and love knots.

The elves in the atmosphere group performed their magic, spreading light floral scents in the air and making the breeze carry a sweet smell.

The elves in the lighting team climbed up the tall shelves and carefully installed various uniquely shaped lamps, adjusting the brightness and color of the lights, preparing to create a dreamy light and shadow effect at night.

The elves from the magic special effects group gathered in a circle, chanting spells in low voices, practicing the magic that would be performed in the confession ceremony. Brilliant lights flickered in their hands, illuminating their focused and excited faces.

At the same time, the deer in the Moonlight Deer Cart that had completed their transportation mission walked gracefully and intimately to Merlin's side. They shook their fluorescent fur, as if signaling to Merlin: the mission was completed and they were ready to leave.

The leading spirit deer even raised its head slightly and looked at Merlin with its warm deer eyes, which showed a hint of fatigue and relief.

Merlin chuckled upon seeing this, took a step forward, and put his arm around the deer leader's neck. The action was quite intimate, as if he was greeting an old friend.

The leader of the spirit deer was stunned. He had never expected Merlin to do this. He turned his head with a look of confusion and slight dissatisfaction in his eyes, as if saying: What do you want to do, human? We are all exhausted, it's time to go back and rest.

Merlin seemed not to understand its expression, and continued to say with a smile: "Brother Linglu, I will need your help later."

The spirit deer snorted and looked at Merlin angrily, secretly complaining in his heart: Even if you are the High Priest of the Moon, you can't order us around like this.

This time we went to pick up the elves from the teleportation array. We were already being very considerate of you because of your special status. You still want us to continue working? No way!

"Hey, you're still not happy!" Merlin raised his eyebrows and teased, as if he could read the deer's mind.

The spirit deer turned its head away, not wanting to pay any more attention to this "pushing" human being. In its opinion, this was a matter of principle. It had already made an exception once, and there would never be a second time. Don't even think about it.

However, when Merlin took out a large ball of moonlight emitting soft light from his arms like a magician, the attitude of the spirit deer leader suddenly changed 180 degrees.

Its originally arrogant eyes instantly became extremely gentle, and its nose gently sniffed the fragrance of the moonlight. The next second, its whole body was like being attracted by a magnet, and it instantly stuck to Merlin, rubbing against him intimately, and making soft purring sounds from its mouth, as if saying: Oh, you human, you really understand our thoughts. With such a good thing, there's no harm in helping out.
