Chris kicked Kairos on the calf, causing him to half-kneel down.
"Let go of your highness!"
Chris raised the sword in her hand and looked at the elves coldly, "Shut up! If you dare to take a step forward, I will immediately cut off his head!"
"Come on! She doesn't dare to kill me!" Kailos roared angrily.
"You try it, and see if I dare!" Chris shouted coldly, holding a sword.
The elves were frightened by Chris's eyes and actions and dared not move. Merlin stepped forward and held Chris down, saying, "That's enough. There's a lot of noise here. Students or teachers from the Beastmaster Academy will be here soon. Don't make trouble."
Chris's ears twitched slightly, and then she pushed Kairos away.
Kairos fell to the ground and stood up in a very awkward manner. He heard footsteps and could even see the light of a lantern in the distance. He looked at Merlin and Chris viciously and picked up the sword that had fallen to the ground.
"Remember this, this matter is not over yet!"
After Kairos finished speaking, he quickly disappeared into the dense forest with the elf.
Fate jumped down from the tree and came to Merlin's side "You are so good, how did you offend that mad dog?"
"Let's talk about this when we get back. Stacy, can you move now?" Merlin stretched out his hand and tried to pull up Stacy who was sitting on the ground.
"No problem." Stacie forced a smile and looked at her dirty clothes. It seemed that she needed to wash them thoroughly.
Stacey reached out her hand, and Chris pulled Stacey up first, supporting her and saying, "Let's go quickly. If we are caught by the teacher, we will definitely be questioned."
The three of them quickly walked out of the dense forest. On the way, Stacy looked at Merlin apologetically and said, "Sorry, Boss Merlin."
"I know my brother too well. He will definitely think about how to take revenge on you when he goes back. It's my fault for causing you trouble." Stacy said, lowering her head and pulling her head.
"Trouble? Standing up for your own employees is not a trouble at all. Besides, anyone who sees a situation like that would help, right?"
Merlin said indifferently. He looked at Stacy and smiled. "As for Kairos, I don't think he is a problem. He'd better not provoke me. Otherwise, it's hard to say who will be the problem."
Chris looked at Merlin speechlessly with Stacy on her back, "Don't brag. Kairos is a member of the royal family of the elves after all, and a fourth-level intermediate magician. If I hadn't been here today, your pretty head would have been gone long ago."
"Merlin, we don't know what you are like yet. Just follow us after school. I'm afraid you'll get tricked by accident."
Merlin pinched a white stone that he held close to his body. He was so panicked just now that he forgot about it. However, just now when Kairos' sword was about to hit him, this stone didn't trigger. He even suspected that the three spells sealed in it were fake.
Chris sent Stacy back to the dormitory. Stacy did not live with the group of elves in the forest dormitory specially built by the school, but lived in the teacher's apartment where her master lived.
The teachers' apartments and senior dormitories were in the same area. Chris went to send Stacy back to the dormitory, and Fate sent Merlin back to his room.
"Fate, how many of your ice blueberries do you have left?"
"Why? You want to eat it? I still have several boxes. In my hometown, I can give you as much of this stuff as you want."
Merlin's eyes lit up when he heard what Fate said. "Fate, I remember you were short of money. Why don't you sell me the ice field blueberries? I'll give you a very suitable price. If possible, you can contact your family to get you more."
Fate instantly became interested when he heard that there was money to be made. He had always lived paycheck to paycheck and spent a lot. If it weren't for Merlin's creation of delicacies like beggar's chicken in lotus leaf, his life might have been even more difficult.
"How much do you plan to buy and how do you plan to buy it?"
"I don't know the market value of ice field blueberries either."
"Ice blueberries are a specialty of our Ice Empire, but the ones I eat are supplied exclusively to the royal family, so the price is naturally higher. Generally, one pound costs ten gold coins..."
"No need for the best! Just give me the most ordinary ones. It doesn't matter if it's a little inferior. I'm not going to eat it anyway."
"As for the good stuff, I can just go to your room and get it."
Fate rolled his eyes, picked up a stool beside him and spun it in front of him, then leaned over with his hands on the back of the chair and said, "Don't you want to go the high-end route? If it's ordinary ice field blueberries, I'll give you as many as you want."
"We'll talk about the high-end route later. How much do you want me to send? Let's start with a few hundred tons..."
"Let's talk about the price. Ordinary ice blueberries are one gold coin per pound. This price is very suitable. I don't even want you to pay for the transportation."
Merlin knew that Fate would not cheat him, so he said directly, "Deal, then give me 10,000 gold coins first, I'll test the waters first."
"Ten thousand gold coins? What the hell!" Fate looked at Merlin in shock. You're also a first-year student, so why do you have so much money? Besides, didn't the Leo family go bankrupt? Even if it hadn't gone bankrupt, they wouldn't have let you spend like that.
"What are you making a fuss about? I've been doing business in school for so long, and I earn tens of thousands of gold coins every day by selling beggar chicken blind boxes. Don't say you don't know."
Fate scratched his head awkwardly. "I only know how to eat, but I don't really know your business."
"Okay, I'm going to wash up and go to bed. I have things to do tomorrow. I'll leave the matter of the Icefield Blueberries to you. As for how much money you can make from it, I don't care. You just have to ensure that you deliver it to the Arcane Academy at the price of one gold coin per pound." Merlin yawned and asked Fate to leave.
Fate left Merlin's room, rubbing his hands like a fly. He bought the goods at a price of one gold coin per pound. There should be room for maneuver. He was taking off with the help of his good brother.
Fate even thought about going back immediately to sell his assets and acquire the Icefield Blueberry Farm, so as to become a supplier tycoon and make a fortune.
As for whether Merlin would fail in his research on new food, he had confidence in his good brother, who was an "alchemy genius" in food.
Merlin didn't know what Fate was thinking. He lay on the bed, his heart filled with desire for power. It was the first time in all the time he had been in this world that he felt so weak and insecure. He wanted strength. He needed powerful strength to arm and protect himself.
Tomorrow, he will go to combat class. He wants to become stronger. Only by becoming stronger can he better protect himself and better guard his assets.
In the teacher's dormitory, Stacy sat on the bed after washing up. She thought about what happened today and couldn't help but feel scared. If Chris hadn't arrived in time, Merlin might have died in front of her.
When Staci thought of this, she felt heartbroken. She glanced at the black hourglass on the bed, and a cloudy light flashed in her eyes.
We must become stronger to protect Boss Merlin!
