Chapter 572 Sigma and the Lord of Plague

In a slightly compact little apartment in the Arcane City, the sunlight struggled to squeeze in through the cracks in the window and sprinkled on the room filled with various posters and figures.

The walls are covered with large posters of stars including Lucy, Stacey, and Alicia. They are smiling sweetly or posing gracefully, as if lighting up the entire space.

The display shelves in the room are filled with various limited series of figures previously launched by Merlin. Each one is exquisitely made and lifelike, ranging from lively elves to mighty magicians.

Sigma got up from the messy bed in a daze. With sleepy eyes, he yawned loudly and walked slowly towards the bathroom.

After washing up, he walked out rubbing his eyes, and his eyes were instantly attracted to the kitchen.

I saw a pink apron floating in the slight airflow. No, to be precise, there was a ball of purple-black mist under the apron.

Looking closely, one can vaguely make out a middle-aged man with long black hair in the mist. He wears a single round-rimmed glasses. The eyes behind the lenses are cold and indifferent, exuding a sense of alienation that is unique to aristocrats.

At this moment, this middle-aged man who looked aristocratic, wearing an out-of-place pink apron, was concentrating on making breakfast.

Sigma looked at the figure, then subconsciously turned his head to look at the mirror in the bathroom.

He sighed. His originally ugly face covered with pockmarks had gradually become somewhat similar to that of the middle-aged man, except that he looked younger.

Sigma was not at all happy about his becoming more handsome. Instead, his heart was filled with fear. He was gripped by a deep fear that he was no longer himself.

But what else can he do? After all, the person living in his body was a real god, so he slowly accepted it.

"What are you looking at? It's almost time to grab things." The Lord of Plague gently placed the fried eggs, bacon and buttered bread in front of Sigma, with a hint of urgency in his tone.

Sigma yawned again and said lazily, "Why rush? There's still more than an hour until the new card pack goes on sale. There's plenty of time."

"What do you know! We have to grab the latest card packs. I know the nature of those damn card players too well. They must have lined up early!" The Lord of Plague said as he quickly walked to the shelf nearby and carefully picked up an exquisite card box.

He opened the card box, and found Arena of Valor cards neatly arranged inside, each of which seemed to carry his love for the game.

This god, who once spread plague, terror, and disaster, has fallen deeply in love with the game Arena of Valor during the time he coexisted with Sigmar.

Not only that, he also became addicted to the TV series "Duel King" and was obsessed with the thrilling duel plots in it.

He even loved stories like "Cinderella" and generously used Sigma's money to buy a lot of related figures.

As for how the Plague Lord came into contact with Arena of Valor, the story begins two days after the attack on the Arcane City...

The day after the attack on the Arcane City, Sigmar felt as if he was in a dark cage from which he could never escape. Fear and shadows followed him everywhere, shrouding him tightly all day long.

Anyone who has a "time bomb" in his body that may explode at any time will be filled with fear and terror like him.

What's more, this terrifying existence, the Lord of Plague, would compete with him for control of the body from time to time!

Although the invasion of the demons and the Ancient Gods has passed, the fear of the plague and the dread of the demons and the Ancient Gods still linger like a haze in the streets and alleys of the Arcane City.

With the power of fear, the Lord of Plague actually recovered a lot of his strength, and even gained the upper hand in the battle with Sigma for control of his body.

Sigma didn't dare to return to school these past two days. He was filled with worry, fearing that people in the school would notice the ancient god's aura hidden in him.

In desperation, he could only rent a small apartment in a middle-class area.

No one knew that behind the closed door, he was engaged in a thrilling battle with the consciousness of the Lord of Plague every day.

Sigma was lying on the bed, with his mind full of thoughts. He thought to himself with self-mockery: Is this considered saving the world? Stop the Ancient God?

However, my stomach growled at an inopportune moment and the feeling of hunger grew stronger.

He stood up reluctantly and put on a large windbreaker, which seemed to bury everything about him, including his inner fear.

Then he hurriedly opened the door and wanted to buy something to eat.

Sigma quickly shuttled through the streets and alleys, fear like an invisible net, wrapping him tightly.

He was extremely cautious, fearing that the ancient god's aura on him would be noticed by others, and he walked on thin ice with every step he took.

"Bang--"

He was hit hard without any warning and staggered back several steps.

He turned his head in horror and saw a middle-aged man with an unshaven beard staring at him with dissatisfaction and impatience in his eyes.

"Hey, could you please stop standing here and blocking the road!" the middle-aged man shouted angrily.

Sigma's heart tightened and he quickly apologized.

But at this moment, the Lord of Plague in the body suddenly woke up.

The unshaven middle-aged man just snorted, casually glanced at the card box hanging on his waist, then said disdainfully, "Stupid thing, be careful next time", and was about to turn around and leave.

However, the Lord of Plague controlled Sigmar's body and said with a sneer, "You lowly ant, you dog-like thing, were you talking to me just now?"

"Huh?!" When the middle-aged man heard this, his eyes widened instantly and he turned his head in disbelief.

He saw that the man who was scolding him had a strange expression on his face that was half scared and half vicious at the same time. This strange look startled him.

"What the hell?!" the middle-aged man couldn't help but screamed.

"You ignorant fellow, do you know who you are facing?" The Lord of Plague sneered coldly. The laughter seemed to come from the Netherworld, revealing endless chill.

"That's not what I said, I apologize!" Sigma was horrified and hurriedly explained loudly.

This sudden scene completely confused the middle-aged man.

He frowned and glanced up and down at Sigma, and soon saw the same card box hanging on his waist.

"So that's how it is. Can I take what you said as a provocation to me?" The middle-aged man seemed to realize something. A sneer appeared on his face, and his eyes were full of provocation.

"Provoke you? Hahahaha, are you making me laugh? Rubbish!" The Lord of Plague controlled Sigma's body and mocked him unscrupulously. His arrogant laughter echoed in the streets.
