Chapter 6 Alchemy

Well, originally these classmates in the class had only heard that something was wrong with the Leo family, but there was no definite news. But now, Chris said it directly in public, and now everyone knew that something was wrong with the Leo family.

Sigma glanced at Chris, who had his hands on his hips and a smug expression on his face, and said, "Chris, don't forget your identity. As a member of the great Plantagenet family, you are actually hanging out with people from the Leo family. You really bring shame to the Plantagenet family and the Turing Empire."

Chris grabbed Sigma's collar, clenched her fist and shouted, "Rat man, what did you say? Say it again if you dare!"

"Okay, okay, Chris, what are you doing? Let go of your hand quickly, do you want to do anything?"

The rat man Sigma was shouting loudly. Chris was about to punch him when she saw that he was asking for a fight, but was stopped by Merlin.

"Don't do it. Teacher Harrington is here. If you do it now, you'll be thrown into the dark room."

Merlin noticed Harrington who had just walked into the classroom and immediately stopped Chris. It was a serious matter to hurt someone at will in the Arcane Academy, let alone in front of the teacher.

Chrissy immediately let go of Sigma's collar, pushed him and said, "I was just joking with him."

When Chris said this, she deliberately glanced at Teacher Harrington on the podium.

Harrington arranged his things for class as if he hadn't seen anything, then he coughed and said, "Everyone return to your seats and get ready for class."

Sigma looked at Chris and Merlin with a gloomy face, his face full of unwillingness, but he didn't know what to say, so he sat obediently on the chairs in the classroom with his good brothers.

Professor Harrington looks like a typical alchemy professor. He is relatively old and time has taken away his hair, leaving his head completely bald. However, he himself said that it was definitely not because of hair loss, but that he shaved his head for the great alchemy, fearing that the falling hair would affect his alchemy.

Harrington wore a pair of round-framed glasses, and his eyes behind the lenses revealed a gleam of wisdom. He always wears a clean master's robe, which also shows that this unprepossessing old professor is a magic master at the sixth level.

Harrington lightly pointed his hand, and a large number of glassware appeared on the podium instantly, such as some flasks, medicine bottles, test tubes, etc. In addition, there were some square packages wrapped in linen, and it was unknown what was inside.

"You have almost learned the basics of alchemy. We have been teaching you theoretical knowledge for the past few months. It is time for you to try out the fun of alchemy yourself."

Harrington tapped the table gently as he spoke. Soon a soft breeze blew in from outside the classroom, floating around Harrington, and then seemed to turn into an invisible hand to untie the linen bag tied with a rope on the table.

Instantly, a rich and heavy smell of spices filled the entire classroom. This strong smell of mixed spices made Merlin feel a little uncomfortable, as if he had entered a grain and oil store that had not been cleaned for a long time.

As for the other students, they looked at the spices on the table with great interest and excitement. Some of them even took big gulps of the mixed smell of spices in the air.

"Oh my god, that's what it tastes like! High!"

"So many precious spices!"

"Are we finally getting to know alchemy?"

"I don't even recognize some of these spices, but they look really expensive!"

Spices are a rare commodity in the continent of Azer that only nobles can enjoy, and can be compared to gold.

"Yes, I bought these specially. Each student can go up to the stage and take a certain amount of spices, and then mix them into your favorite incense, snuff, and body water."

When Harrington was talking about the last tonic water, many of the students sitting there had strange expressions on their faces. Some were embarrassed, some were smiling, and many female students blushed and twisted their bodies slightly while sitting there restlessly.

Merlin's mouth twitched slightly when he heard Harrington's words. In the continent of Aize, spices were not used for eating, but for making incense, snuff, or for preparing offerings to the gods.

Of course, wealthy nobles would also use spices to preserve corpses.

As for the body water, Merlin discovered from his memory that it was enema water made with various spices.

That’s right, it’s enema water!

The nobles of the continent of Aize are quite keen on enema, and they attach great importance to appearance and body image. They understand that the quality of digestion has a great influence on these aspects. Therefore, enema is particularly popular among women as a solution to digestive problems, which can be said to be similar to modern cosmetic injections.

Every noblewoman knew very well that her appearance, the beauty of her skin, and the size of her figure ultimately depended on the quality of her digestion.

Many aristocratic women generally believed that enema was essential.

In the continent of Aize, enema is also given religious significance. Many churches believe that enema can cleanse the impurities in the heart and keep the heart pure.

Most of the spices in the continent of Aize were made into body water, which was difficult for Merlin, who traveled through time, to accept.

Honey, milk, and olive oil would be fine, but adding black pepper, basil, thyme, rosemary, parsley and the like for enema, Merlin could hardly imagine what that would taste like.

Fortunately, the body Merlin had before he traveled through time and space did not require an enema.

"Oh yeah! After such a long time, I can finally do alchemy by myself. Chris, Merlin, what are you planning to make? Aromatherapy or snuff? Or body water?" Fate grabbed a lot of materials and ran back happily.

Chris thought for a moment and then said, "Aromatherapy, as for body water, you know Merlin and I hate it."

"Okay, then I'll make some body water. You two should really try it, it'll definitely make you feel great!" Fate was obviously a body water fan, which made Merlin shudder, especially when his good friend grabbed a handful of black pepper.

Under the teacher's supervision, Merlin took away a lot of spices, such as cinnamon, bay leaves, star anise, and some others as well.

However, he would never use these things to make incense, snuff, or body water. In his eyes, these things should be used on food.

After traveling to a magical world, I thought that alchemy classes would teach me how to mix potions and draw magic arrays, but who would have thought that it was actually about mixing spices. I took several months of theoretical classes just for this stuff. It's amazing.
